Just got one it's great. So I use this but have waze with Tomtom Amigo on overlay. So you have 3 things running as I don't think any one is enough. I like the Saphe for the audio warning as if your just below speed in Waze it won't warn you, which I don't like as you could creep up by the time you hit the camera. The other issue with Waze is if you don't have it running in your car system but on your mobile you can't legally report anything with the new law on the move. But you can with Saphe as it's not a digital device. Waze or Google need to make something like this but if more use Saphe it will be just as good. But I am a Waze fan too. So why use one device when you can use free apps as well like Waze and Amigo for free. I don't think the Saphe software or app is as good as Waze in my opinion but it doesn't matter really as it's more about the device and the fact you can press the buttons to report legally in UK. For £40 it's an amazing car gadget.
Well said! Pinned this comment as I've been asked a few times why this and not waze etc, it's a personal preference for me to have a physical device with a reminder to enable it, along with the notification of cameras at any speed as you said. It's a brill little device.
@@The06madmax06 Thanks for appreciating my feedback. I have only had mine a few days. It's going well but I do have a few questions as you have used yours longer. Ok 1. On the Saphe support it says if you press the blue button for 2 sec the light will flash green followed by a siren to show it's connected to your phone and the app. For me it will flash green and beep just once. So is mine faulty is this a change with the update? If you can check yours to see if it's the same. The other is there is a speed camera near where I live so I have been driving past to test. It has gone off I think but not 100% now in the beginning but now it does nothing. So I have tried smart alarm off and on. But have you had issues like this when it just don't go off on a fixed camera? I may have fiddled too much in the settings so reinstalled and test tomorrow. If I know mine is faulty I can just get another from Amazon but thought I'd as you first. Cheers Mike.
@@spike30001 I'm not entirely sure about connecting with button, I connected via the app and it auto connects when I open the app, my phone vibrates and the device does like a ping noise when it's connected. I'll have a look when I get chance with the blue button thing. It may have lost connection with the phone, it only sounds when connected to the app.
@@spike30001 just read the instructions which says long press of the blue button is to add a speed camera to the system at the current location. I'm a little worried this wont work where i live due to the sparser population, otherwise i would be sold. Mobile speed cameras are the issue where i live, barely any fixed cameras.
Good question, The device auto starts and connects by use of a motion sensor (can also be useful as a deterrent to theives as it sounds an alarm when any motion is detected) The app also has a user fed database so will warn of any dangers or hazards as well as speed cameras, mobile cameras and radar cameras etc similar to waze and will run continuously while the phone is on and connected so no need to have the app open or phone out etc as the device itself sounds an alarm. Here's what Saphe answered when asked why this and not waze: "Thank you for your question :) Saphe One + stands out from other applications because you don't have to set a navigation path to get notifications and your phone doesn't have to be in sight. Saphe is activated automatically when the car starts moving. All you have to do is concentrate on driving. The phone is a device used to communicate, if also used to receive traffic alarms, it becomes a distraction element and slows down our ability to react in case of danger. When a warning signal is emitted from other applications our brain has to concentrate and filter through many sounds produced by the phone to identify them - the phone is a big distraction for the driver. For these and other reasons we believe Saphe is superior to other apps and devices. Hope this clarifies your doubts." I guess it's personal preference really, I like to have a physical device that sounds out for any issues or cameras coming up so I can then double check I'm doing what I should be doing I guess. Nice and simple and does what I need it to do without any faff or forgetting lol
This for the price will tell you of all the fixed cameras so when your driving to places your not familiar with its a godsend and it will pick up some radar/mobile units aslong as they have been recorded by other road users abit like waze. If your looking for something thats going to tell you when a mobile unit or radar unit is comming up or even police cars and undercover units on the road in real live time or just parked up nearby, then you need to fork out way more and you will need a device like the escort max 3 international lazer rader detector, your now looking at 400 quid. There is a device called a python does a similar thing picks up all radio frequency's from emergency service vehicles again mega money, but if you are truly looking to avoid fines of any sort for speeding or other types of driving then money really shouldnt be an issue depends how little you want to get caught. Because lets be fair we only want these devices so we can drive as we please lets say, without the worry of the scam that is Purley for revenue purposes only....speed cameras.
Been using it a while now and honestly for the price you can't go wrong, it's saved me a few times. Being that this is my video I suppose you could think I'm bias but I haven't been paid to make it and I'm not affiliated with them in any way, if it were a bad product I wouldn't recommend it or make a video, my channel is to show good products and help people find stuff that's useful.

so, the app has to open all the time while using the saphe?
How much notice does it give you from the speed camera ahead thanks
Does show the accidents on the same screen as the Speed Cameras or does it have to be Switched on the device ?
does this have a speedometer built in ie can you set it to a speed - when exceeding that speed does it win you? thanks

Is it machine washable?
Dry clean only I think, might be OK on a 30 degrees cotton wash but it's a risk.

Has anybody used this device and it's pick up a mobile speed camera which you was not aware about while you was driving? Thanks
It is user fed for mobile cameras so if someone marks it in the map with their device it will beep, otherwise it doesn't detect radars etc
