Sorry that you have so many cameras there. Get up to county Durham. We believe in a self control system up here lol. Not so many about. Can spool up the turbo without it being recorded on baconcam.
Damn, losing your license to a red light camera? That must've been extremely tough. I got caught twice in the span of a month and dreaded losing my license as I was just about to come up to 2 years, but thankfully I'm safe now with just 3 points. Good on you for pulling through all that
If you got caught twice did you do the speed awareness course for the first charge and then took the the 3 points on the second? Cos I think I may be in your position. Received a speeding ticket and I was anticipating one but it was for a separate occasion and I’m confident there’s another on its way.
I didn’t need to watch anymore than 60 seconds to know this was Plymouth 😂 always gets me how bad it is with cameras when I go down there to see my family!
I’m really considering one of these maybe for the new year, as long as my Abarth passes the mot on Monday, my speedo has always been about 4MPH out of sync so having a correct reading would put my mind more at ease in average speed zones especially.
I'd believe most cars are the same 👍. With my car if it says I'm doing 50 it'll be about 4mph less than that in reality. Like it this way as you'd know by looking at the speedometer if you go way above
I use Waze in Los Angeles. I used to Uber and used it all the time. It doesn't reconnoiter as fast as Google Maps but GMaps doesn't warn you about red light cams and speed traps and potholes and other road hazards.
I wish I had one of these a few years back when that very camera on Alma road nabbed me because I was distracted. A prompt at that point would have been perfect!
I think that these things are now an essential peice of kit in your car When you have one, and you start to really observe the limits, you then become very aware of how slow they have brought the limits down to. You then have to wonder, that seeing that the serious injuries and deaths have not substantially fallen, are these limits for safety or a way of catching people out. I for one am not sure.
It’s a Money making regime. They use false premises to reduce speed limits whilst keeping us in ou place and stealing our money. I also don’t give a rats as about the argument that it’s better for the environment or saves lives. It’s all lies at best, bonkers at worst.
I’m really pleased that my car has a speed governor now that I’m going back to live in Plymouth once more. Since living in the W. Midlands for 7 years, with the gizmo fitted, I haven’t had any tickets. The trick is to remember to turn it on every time I get in the car.
Glad I don’t live in Plymouth. How many cameras WTF ? You should try a trip to the Isle of Man . Not one speed camera there . And you can drive the TT course as fast as you want 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Harvey Willmott that’s exactly what I was thinking but I feel like the road angel would be better because it shows speed cameras which I don’t think the valentine does but this is also much cheaper priced
I can see from the video the steering wheel has been changed so I was wondering if it has an airbag fitted otherwise if not is it legal to drive without? Thanks
Those recommending Waze... it doesn’t detect Scamera vans, my old road angel saved me on the A30 years ago in a line of traffic, got a radar alert and slowed, then a couple of seconds later the vans in front and beside me braked hard... but I think they may have been too late.... there was a Scamera van sitting in a gateway. Mine died after I dropped it on the stairs and the scamming insurance company (domestic general iirc) refused the claim. So no more Road Angel.... disappointing that they recommended such crap cover.
Car is looking really nice 👍. Need to catch up on your vids. Do love that gadget. I get so worried about driving down speed camera roads that I start thinking about did I go past at the right speed (even if I remember I did) so this may be great for me
+Zain K honestly mate I know the feeling. I drive through a speed camera at the correct speed and afterwards spend the whole trip questioning my own head. Honestly tho I get that these are a little pricey. But I don’t joke when I say I do not want to drive wkthout one especially in my st anymore
@@rossant_gt6779 Heres my snap if u need more info ( Cameroncarroll9 ), bro, it's quite illegal here so if u get caught with it I'm pretty sure it would be worse than speeding also I had gotten my hands on one, a mate of mine sent one over from England, 1. it's shit waste of money and 2. it only sometimes gets k band pings from traffic cameras or anything with sensors including traffic sensor cameras, sliding shop sensors doors, and surveillance cameras with IR scanners. The truth is regardless if its brand new amazing or my shitty one by the time it pings about being hit by a gardaí(police) with their laser speed camera it's already too late, for that u need a laser jammer which is even more illegal and is impossible to get through customs unless u have mates from where it is legal in the US, also, I don't believe there is any speed camera on motorways "IN IRELAND" unless its a squared box or painted in the yellow one, my mate's uncle is a Sargent and according to him there is one a few "speed cameras in all of Ireland " the only major one working in dublin is the one on ur way into town you'll see a large yellow box on the left (fyi the speed camera detectors won't actually detect it especially that one considering it watches ur speed as u drive past it as the laser is facing away from you), the thing that detects speed cameras overall is the GPS systems detectors, but because most companies especially the paid yearly ones are made for legally use in England it'll only see and tell you where it last had seen a speed camera using traffic data from other gps users IN ENGLAND. takin into factor my one could be just a cheap piece of shit, I overall believe it's not worth shit in Ireland, what may be best is the laser scanner block so that laser scanners that garda have cant see ur speed but that's highly illegal in Ireland, hard to get in the country and if ur the only car on the road it can't read the speed of they'll get suspicious af especially if ur going fast and not slowing down, hope that6 helps on my review, please add up the snap if u got anymore questions I'm 19 and drive a 170 golf tsi 1.4 good luck :)
This is all very well, it detects based on map locations and works out your position via GPS, which is good.........But is it going to tell me when one of the cockwombles is hiding out in a mobile camera van? and I mean I dont want it just to warn me of the danger zone, I want it to actualy tell me if the van in collecting revenue or not.
The previous SNOOPER gives of an High Pitched Annoying Audible warning Beep which is so annoying that you zone it out and ignore it !!- Does the Road Angel have a High Pitched audible warning ?????, Does Road Angel Warn via the coloured Screen Only ?? I also have a CHEETAH which is far more subtle and communicates Waay better than the Snooper , the Cheetah dosent pick up All Cameras but the Snooper spec says it will pick up all cameras. I need to upgrade the SNOOPER and was going to replace it with another CHEETAH but just checking out the ROAD ANGEL first .
Those clips of your st rolling.....Look Mint!! Loving the passion you have shown this car. And good review.Tidy bit of kit. I'm looking at the angel myself.
+michael Lees thanks mate. The driverse boys helped me with those. Glad you like it. And make sure you Save some coin and use my discount code in the description.
Just been down the south coast on my motor bike and was astounded as to how many cameras there are down there, half the time the roads are in such a poor state of disrepair that you would find it hard to speed anyway
We don't have as many speed cams in the states but we do have a lot of red light cams depending on what state you're in. I'm in Los Angeles where we used to have a lot more. One is too many. New York and Chicago are flooded with them. In the south you find van mounted speed cameras more often. It's all a sham to control you and get more money, NOTHING to do with safety.
Do you need to have the £49.99 subscription for this to work ? ... Road angel telling yes, but my snooper 4Zero don't and definitely picks up 'live' cameras
This video just came up in my feed, the algorithm is funky but its likely because I sometimes watch dash cam crash videos... The first few minutes is pure sales talk, borderline cringeworthy. I would embrace any effective camera warning kit but £50 a month? That is more than insurance for many UK drivers. (Edit: spelling )
I wouldn't spend money on one of them. Google maps and apple maps also give warnings about fixed cameras, same as waze. Any GPS gives warnings about possible mobile radar. So far I haven't seen any device who gives warnings on live mobile speed cameras, like cops on a motorbike etc... And I have tried a lot of devices
@@GCMYT you have it though with the cameras down south. The road angel is well worth the money mainly for the mobile 'safety' vans, more like mobile police cash machines.
No ones "fighting back", they're selling these detectors to make profits, i bet none of those profits would go towards lobbying to abolish mobile speed traps etc. We're all getting scammed really
From the moment you switch it on its beeping - safety camera vans safety camera van - safety camera van , so so many false alerts , its does warn you of fixed and traffic light cameras , also hand held lazers but the constant bloody safety camera van is so annoying
If a camera van pings you its to late there a waste of money. They will have you before the road angel even goes off. Just download WAZE its free got them things on it.
I want one of these.... noticed them in my local tuning shop and then caught this video and I am now sold on them.... thanks guys.....

Would love this but personally I’m not prepared to spend £200 on the device and then a further £150 for a years subscription
Innit. Absolutely ridiculous price🤦🏿♂️
Pro tip: watch series on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies recently.
@Keenan Jaime Definitely, I've been watching on flixzone} for since november myself =)

yes it does mate :D and no problem
Does it picks the mobile police speed guns as well? Thank you!

I digg it. It's great its always on and it looks slick. Does it do the roaming camera vans?
What did it cost, and how does it compare to the very expensive valentine?

How good was it at alerting you of mobile vans well in advance?
Thanks
