@@ThatDanGuyOnline I enjoyed the video though, I saw that you've played a lot of games I've previously enjoyed. Have you Played Slay The Princess or Scarlet Hollow yet? They're soooo good, though Scarlet Hollow is still in development.

I actually have Slay The Princess on my Steam wishlist. I'll have to check Scarlet Hollow and see if it's something I'd be interested in!
@@ThatDanGuyOnline They're made by the same people! I'm obsessed with them, I think they have a bundle on steam if you wind up wanting both in the future
I'll consider it during the next big Steam sale! I'm sure I've seen it deeply discounted in the past. Do you know if they're longer visual novels? Or are they shorter ones that you're meant to play multiple routes in one session?

@@ThatDanGuyOnlinekind of? I think you’re the first person i’m watching a full video of a Nancy drew game. Before, I play a few minutes of someone’s first video, and then take off. I think it might be because you’re far more thorough of how you’re playing to “pixel hunt” than them
I definitely make an honest effort to play the game the way it's meant to be played. But I'll also be honest and call out when I'm using a guide because I either missed something, am confused, or am just too much of a dummy to figure it out for myself. I can say that's true of most of the games I play on my channel.

Glad to have you stop by the channel! This was my second Nancy Drew game but I've enjoyed them so far. Hopefully you enjoy anything else you watch on the channel!
I also really enjoyed Control. I can't say that series is as "polished" as my more recent videos but I had a ton of fun playing that. It got me to not be chicken and play Alan Wake which now has me looking forward to eventually playing Alan Wake 2!

I actually never finished playing Control myself because I'm a massive scaredy cat. I do love watching letsplays of it though!
I agree that there's some kind of mysterious charm with this game! I don't personally especially like any of the characters individually but somehow they're very.....gripping. You know?
I hear you on the scaredy cat comment about Control. It's not a horror game but I definitely felt like I had to psych myself up before being ready for the next recording session! It's so moody and atmospheric!

I do believe Junior Detective is the right choice! Puzzles should be difficult by design, not because the players don't know what to do next 🌸 if that makes sense!

I agree that puzzles should be hard enough to feel rewarding when completed. And it's great if it is involved with the story or takes advantage of a game mechanic. But arbitrarily making them difficult just for the sake of it seems silly to me. Personal opinion =D
