    This was so cool Lisa! Over 400 petroglyphs to find, that is amazing. Nice that the trail is dog friendly too. So glad you shared the tip to be respectful of the human form and no photographs. We are adding this to our growing list of places. Thanks for sharing, we look forward to the next one! 👍🏼

      It's one of those places I've taken for granted since I live here, I've enjoyed reading up on the history. Thanks again for watching! FYI, I didn't respond to your sunset comment, I made that video private, I'm appealing UA-cam who set that video to 'age-restricted'..not sure what happened there. Just letting you know I appreciate your comment! I did read it!!

    I love the desert landscapes and hiking in the desert. You never know what you might find. The petroglyphs looked pretty awesome, makes you think what it was like back then for the people who created them.

    What a cool National Park.. I hadn't heard about not filming petroglyphs that depict the human form. Kind of a bummer that you weren't able to film them, but the glyphs that you did share looked really cool. I really like the one at 7:15 and the bird at 10:07- would make for some cool artwork. Do they have any idea how old some of the glyphs are?

    • @SwiftyTravels
      @SwiftyTravels  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks so much for your comment! I double checked the statement about filming / photos of the human form and put it in the description. It appears mainly to be addressed for commercial use photos. There were people in this area since before 500AD but they think most of the petroglyphs are from 1300-1600s. It's amazing they've lasted that long!

    • @RuthandThomas
      @RuthandThomas 3 роки тому

      @@SwiftyTravels Woooaaah that's crazy- so much older than the U.S.!! Good to know that the rule is mostly for commercial use - but I guess better safe than sorry!

    Actually didn't know about the filming of human forms. Oopsie. 😳

    • @SwiftyTravels
      @SwiftyTravels  3 роки тому +1

      I updated the description to include the information about photographing. I think it was really recommending no photos/video are taken for commercial use, so you are off the hook! Just thought I 'd let you know.
