Chuck was such a character and a great musician and funny teacher.… By the looks of this video, I'm guessing this was shot while I was there circa 1990-91. At the time, I was living in Harbor city with my parents about 18 miles south. I missed so many great performances and clinics because I always tried to get home before the LA rush-hour traffic... regrets… Regrets!

Chuck Flores was a fantastic drummer and educator. If you are only into drumming pyrotechnics, then you might not enjoy Chuck's playing nor, especially, his solo here. Chuck was deliberately playing a bit outside here, without a lot of rolls and fast fills, but there is such a musical hipness to it. And how about his bandmates here? What tremendous talents they these three are!
