Thanks for posting this - it's amazing! Mr Bruno's mastery of the guitar is phenomenal, and his insights can save players years of frustration and confusion. There's nobody quite like him.
"The so called new genius’s take note" name some names so we can gauge what a fool and ignoramus you are being. Stop building up one by tearing down others. useless.
I’ve made it a point to turn my 13 year old niece and 8 year old nephew on to good jazz guitar on our 20-30 minute ride home from school on the days I pick them up. Jimmy is sure on the playlist of guitarists they’ve heard. I would love to know if he could ever come to Texas as I would like for them to have a chance to see him perform.

That thing Jimmy says about thinking of a circle of tones in relation to C is something I just can't get, maybe my head's not made for it. I feel the same way about the Pat Martino diminished thing. Maybe over time I'll see. I can't ever see myself not seeing tonal centre, and chords/tones based around it. I completely agree with his "five pictures" thing though, I found learning inversions for maj/min/dom 7ths really helped cement that... It's just fragments of the major scale.
Nashville is way overrated. Full of waiters and waitresses with an acoustic guitar in their trunk, in hopes that the entertainer doesn't show up and they get their big break playing in a restaurant. A city full of people writing songs around I,vi, IV, V. No variations. Music city with very few places to play, and none of them paying. Music City = Music Scam. Even the studio scene is falling off. When Brent Mason is doing sessions for songwriters' demos, you know things aren't looking good.
Nashville aka "music city ", no longer has a jazz radio station or classical or world. Plenty of country and one Americana type program. Much smaller places have electronic music ,opera, avant garde , bluegrass and world music. Driving through Knoxville I found all these examples on radio. When I was in high-school in Indiana we could get a broadcast of a program of blues music . I think the disc jockey was called J.R. This was late 60s . So it seems that as youtube offers everything;the local scene has stagnated.
Jimmy’s a living national jazz treasure.
This may be the greatest lesson ever on video!
I love everything about Jimmy Bruno.

Jimmy is awesome!!!
One of the best performances I’ve ever heard. The so called new genius’s take note. What he has can’t be taught at some school.

Outrageously good!
Jimmy's the man!
this was great!
Whats the name of the tune he ending whit? Amazing
'Not One Clam'? Just kidding but he doesn't mess up once in that piece. Just amazing technique to go along with the amazing musicality.
Nice !!
Beast!!! THX!
What`s the name of the tune Jimmy plays in the end of the lesson.
Did he say he considers Eric Johnson a jazz guitarist?
Superb!.
Da Man
This is just awesome! Can I edit this video and make subtitles and use it for studying material for my people?
What kind of guitar is Jimmy playing?
Looks like a Sadowsky
most important is the neck, get the right feel so your hand move freely
Monster Philly Cat
Man he was so good. He doesn't play this good even on his solo album. He's past his prime now I think.
I’ve watched his recent videos from his house and it seems like he’s ripping it up pretty good still
He plays a lot like Joe Pass!
What the HELL was that last tune? Sounds familiar - but Bruno's rendition of it is INCREDIBLE!
Joy Spring by Clifford Brown
James, you learned THAT when you were a little kid?
When the coughing in the audience is louder than the guitar
Yeah like wtf man
But Jimmy could have mentioned Nashville along with L.A. And New York.

he sounds like he's struggling after 2 minutes to find the right bass note and chord fingerings
he's bablin' a lot...
Hahahahahahahanaha
Jimmy is a master and has forgotten more than most guitarists will ever learn.
