I could not agree more! This is EXACTLY what I think when I watch his live performances. This was not a heavy metal concert. Some people were there to see Sheryl Crow. It was a pretty eclectic mix of music that weekend. But look at that crowd and how into it they are. I doubt many people were trying to create enough space for their friend to film them while they shuffled. I doubt many people retreated to their cars to hit dabs, disgustedly saying to their friends “what the fuck is this?! It’s ruining the whole vibe!” Probably more like “who the fuck is this?! Let’s go nuts!” People seemed to appreciate music more back then, across all spectrums.

Early 1990s: The last time rock was truly relevant, subversive, and dangerous to the mainstream. There are still great artists, and great albums, and great shows coming from the rock music genre, but hip-hop took its place as a cultural force during the mid-90s while Clear Channel Communications neutered originality, demanded conformity, and let rock strangle on its own advancing age.

My BFF and vox the late great John McCarthy of such acts in the annals of R+R: as well legendary icons PostMortem, Ointment,Solitude;Despots & Lusty Monks played me a 💿 once when we were just kids “My War” and this one song changed my life to stop 🛑 creating music and to destroy it instead! This one time they were opening for Black Flag 🏴 @‘ 85 in Boston at an old venue named Bunratty’s shut down due to a killing back in @‘ 92;So as he’s waitin’in line Henry starts talking with his young protege and says that Johnny boy seems like a real nice guy, but he should quit all the drinking Cuz it’d kill him 💀 🪦 JLM 1968-00: Goddamnit if he wasn’t right there! Yeah that’s 30+ years later but I’m still trying to make a point here so work w/Me here folks Kk? Wheels Of Confusion is Hank’s favourite # by Sabbath if you give a full! Yes, I have been listening to a shitload of convolutions in all types of Muzik since 7 yr’s old and everything else pales in a comparison to gangsters who were not just performing, but I had seen gigs when innocent bystanders could get hurt not from the swirling mass of bodies in the pit suddenly in the middle of one of these events! I know if you tried to fuck with Us no matter where We’ve blown up some 38yrs ago during one of Mortem’s most infamous moments we were actually banned for life in ever being invited back to a club equivalent to CBGB’s in both the years and the bands who’ve made their trek thru- in their earlier stages called The Rathskeller (RIP’97 🪦) what made it truly bizzare is the fact that we’re going on right before SleepChamber a little known S+M fest w/live sex acts dildos akimbo and the lead singer owned an BDSM whips &chains and puppy 🐶 🧠 etc yet we’re not involved with any of this 💩 Everyone ❤️ Us and I knew it would be one of the most important gigs I’d ever booked because playing this club was just like taking on an opportunity and trying to get a shot here on a Saturday night whilst we’re on stage not caring that our new Lp 💿 Destined For Failure @‘93 the 4th of 14 to date as we were easily the best ones in this field besides Slayer of course lol 😂 October 23rd in @‘ 93 takes on a totally different meaning in the Boston area as not so much the day the music died and moreover those people who tried to bring Us down there with them throughout the yrs. See, we were never going to be part of the Boston musical scene post 89: haters of the worst kinds of cliques and in my opinion they pretended to be quite friendly with those of Us with a reputation thinking it would help them to rise to a record deal; better time-slot + anything else that would’ve been beneficial for the other cronies who had virtually just walked away from the likes of my crew so when all of these major labels came a’calling; I never seen such 💋 asses in my life and we’re not stopping for these cocksuckers now as our Allience. Really? Dropkick used to open for Us as have Godsmack;Ohm;OLW even for our upcoming gig w/ Nirvana? Courtney Love was trying her best to suck my BFF/vox’s 🍆 lol 😂 Opening for Black Flag 🏴 was both a privilege and a reminder to keep on going up to the 💫 stratosphere Cuz It was actually just as grindingly poetic as well:torturous every single time We’d traveled to n’ fro’just driving cross country a piece just to climb onstage to destroy anytime we’d felt like it to play in front of a room fulla kiddies waiting for anybody they’d come out to see whether it be The Accused to The Stooges- Shemp; unless you’re countin’ Iggy Pop! Yes I’m probably no longer able to swing an axe 🎸 when anyone threatened our little family’s safety or fire 🔥 as we were burning it up as soon as we’d hit and ran in a space of an hour heading to a few more if not; just would never pull that with Henry +Co as we’ve been beaten; batters and bloody 🩸 before we ever floated out on the stages of 🇺🇸 Amerikkka, Fuck Yeah!! I treasured the moments when we’d taken the 🌎 by storm to see our name in lights just a line beneath another stellar band of gypsies; anyone from The Cramps to the Ramones..end of a century indeedy! Sincerely yours truly xoxo 😘 David J Goldbaum- Boston, Massachusetts 02134 🇺🇸 Ya’know da rest..

Is that music about peace and love maaan ??? Hmmm , Don't think sooo ....
I know who stopped the rain the day before and who brought the rain that morning during the Rollins Band concert , even though the announcer said right before they started playing ," we don't know who stop the rain from falling yesterday, but today there's not a single cloud in the entire state of New York ". Go back and listen the archives.
I was there too maaan (28 years old) and i was in '99 Woodstock.
LOVE ,PEACE AND NOOOO FEAR MY FRIENDS.
P.S. Hi to all my friends at Hector's Inn (Bethel ,NY) from hippie Dino ,the Greek.

Rollings is so great here. Anyone know what has him so disillusioned with music after his solo stint? He said he has no interest in music or performing.
