MacOS has a thing that when you keep agitating the cursor on multiple directions the cursor gets bigger, it’s made to help you find it hahaha, it’s really good
windows has a button to send a ring shaped ping across the screen originating from the cursor location, no one uses it though. I personally never lose track of my cursor because I use a custom cursor shaped like a colorful butterfly, kinda hard to miss
@@tredfxman yea, most features that are on MAC are also on Win, you just need to know where to look. Also because of good 3rd party support Windows has more customization and more useful programs people have made for it. Nothing beats Linux in that regard though
@@v1nigra3 i mean he uses plenty screens earlier as a trader, his issue wasnt it being too much but how they weren’t as good as they seemed for what he wanted. But I agree, its too much sensory overload.
And you also have access to all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors. There's a reason my Path of Exile cursor is a big pink arrow and maybe it should for Windows as well.
The solution that helped me was making my cursor larger and darker. Can’t imagine for a 49 inch you’ll be looking for that little pointer for a minute😂
Windows or the Mouse Utility has many options to configure the mouse cursor. E.g. letting it leave a trail of cursors when you move it. But one is for an “echo location” if the left CTRL key is pressed. Concentric circles will flash around the cursor especially if white cursor against white background.
For someone who owns a 49 inch ultra wide monitor I highly recommend that you guys just stick with regular size monitors like a 27 inch or even a 34 inch. 49 inch ultra wide monitors are heavy as hell to carry, and since they are flatscreens, you have to be very gentle with them things because you can easily have an accident, and end up cracking the screens. The minute they fall face first on to something, it’s over for them! You would have to replace the display panels of the monitor, which are twice as expensive as the monitor itself, and plus they are also difficult to install!
That's why I increase the cursor to a half inch and do either bright green or bright pink. Those are unusual colors not often depicted anywhere. And easy to spot. Especially hot pink. Makes playing diablo so much easier.
i’ve gotten really good at centering my mouse when i don’t know where it is by dragging it to the top right corner of the monitor, and then down and to the left, so it’s right in the middle hahaha
There are numerous ways to change the size and visibility of the mouse on Windows and Mac. There’s also “sonar” options that blip your mouse and/or make it bigger on initial move or other event.
as someone who uses not only a 50inch ultrawide but 2 30inch moniters over it i have this problem all the time snd just resort to slinging my mouse randomly till i find it
The level of simping going on in the comments, trying to provide genuine help, is astounding, seemingly unprepared to point out the fallacy of having a 49” widescreen to display 30” desktop background.
just install powertoys. Has a mode where you can press keyboard shortcut that makes your mouse have a marked circle around it. Very usuful while sharing screen over teams with ultra wide monitors etc etc. Always hear someone complain about where is my mouse during meetings.
I loose my mouse on my screen a lot, and I could spend minutes trying to find it. I even move it, and it just mysteriously appears out of nowhere in the middle of my screen after minutes of trying to find it
Lolol I had this issue. U can easily change the cursor to something that stands out a bit more. U don’t even have to use a special program, just download the image files and upload them under the cursor settings found right in windows (once u upload them u can delete the downloaded image files too. So there’s absolutely no junk files to deal with and no organization or extra folders or anything) Loads of tutorials on how to do it. I recommend one of the Skyrim cursors (there’s a small and big version) because it’s black and white, but doesn’t stand out too much
I remember MacOS has this thing where you can furiously share pointer and it will become huge for a second. This was an cool surprise when saw first time.
Dude, I lose my mouse in screens from 43" to 15" one of the first things I turn on on a PC is so that when I press CTRL circles encase my cursor. So I can constantly tap CTRL to find it.
The "Pointer" or "Mouse Pointer": It is the graphical object that moves on screen. It can be static or animated. The "Cursor": It is the file or the memory block used to encode and save the animated (ANI) or static (CUR) graphical object.
Haaaa often have same dilemma. Fortunately on mac you just furiously wiggle your finger and the mouse pointer grows bigger - OMG that mean Ive just my macbook pro a wank??????
I can locate the mouse easily, i forgot, it seems there's setting for that in powerplay or windows setting, so only double click CTRL, my mouse's cursor would be highlighted
The mouse properties has also one feature: show location of pointer when I press the ctrl key. So when I lost my mouse so hit ctrl two three times and there I found my mouse😆😆😆😆
I'm glad I'm not the only one who calls the cursor a "mouse"
I think everybody does that
Looks like a triangular mouse
mouse is short for mouse cursor. I say it too. A cursor is me when I get frustrated with technology.

apple's OSX has this thing when you shake the cursor repeatedly it gets bigger so you can see it
you can activate the finder under windows
gotta press ctrl repeatedly
That doesn't work in games.
why did i never think of this
It's like you're playing "Where's Waldo" up on that thing.

Pro-tip. You can setup windows to "ping" your mouse/cursor location with a button press.

Turn on contrast color in mouse settings. it turns your cursor black when on a white screen and white when on a black screen
Okay but what if it’s not over black or white. Ya know like maybe the color of her background which is not black or white?

Just make the mouse cursor BIG THICC
