    Honey rum nut cake
    Ingredients
    230g butter- softened
    230g caster sugar
    4 eggs-beaten
    210g self-raising flour
    60g nuts
    2 tbsp honey rum
    method
    STEP 1
    preheat the oven to 180c /350f /gas mark 4
    grease and line a 7inch cake tin
    STEP 2
    cream together the caster sugar,butter until light and flurry then beat in the eggs a little at a time
    STEP 3
    fold in the flour and nuts and lastly stir in the honey rum mix all together well and put into the tin
    STEP 4
    bake the cake for about 2 hours or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean leave to
    cool in the tin for 5 minutes then turn it on to a wire rack.
