    Not so easy though when you're having to wrap it onto a leaky radiator valve thread, or a compression olive in situ, with like an inch of space around it? That can drive you quite insane! :)

  • @BristolPeterUK

    Why is it no one ever shows you how to do this when you don't have clean access to the thread you're putting the tape on. Anyone can do it with the whole unit in your hand - it's harder upside down in a cupboard where these jobs usually have to be done.

  • @samk1584
    @samk1584 7 років тому +1

    Dumb question. I was taught to do it exactly as you are in this video...7 turns. Now I get the ole..just three...what are you doing? Also, I am just beginning to work with a lot more stainless pipe. Dope...slides out doesn't stick and white slides as well. On the states we have a blue and someone was telling me about a gray tape. Is there a variation I missed whilst in my parental delirium? Some brass seems to act like stainless more as well. I assume it's due to lead free changes. Yeah, took a few years off lol.

      plumberparts Like it. Use something like that for air already. It stared at me in the store last time, but I grabbed the trusty inexpensive product, costing me a couple hours of redoing as consequence...Unforgiving fail lol. 20 bucks sounds cheap now. Is it a simple heat to remove as well? Any drawbacks with water application like ideal prep?
