    I LOOOVE THIS BIKE. I have test ridden it so many times, you can't imagine. I'm 6'3 and this bike fits me like a glove. Everything about this bike is awesome. The ride is comfortable, it looks amazing, the growl says I'm here and the POWER just slaps you and says, skin that smoke wagon (like Wyatt Earp played by Kurt Russel in TOMBSTONE) - it screams Woooooo like the Nature Boy Rick Flair and will tear off your shirt like the Hulkster. Phew... I digress, my apologies folks. Fan boi you say... I think not. I'm the President of the Suzuki S1000 F - fan club.

    @ 13:30 IMHO i disagree The F version looks better and handles a tad bit better due to the faired nose to keep that front wheel down. I test rode both and the F version looks better to me due to it's sport bike-ish appearance. But BOTH versions are excellent bikes and look sharp. I picked up the F version a month ago and couldn't be happier. The best bike i've ever ridden in my life and i've had a few. Everywhere i take it, it gets a ton of compliments on the F version. But to each his/her own. The main thing is to enjoy the ride of your choice and be safe out there. Cheers.

      +David Peplow Congrats dude!!! The feeling you will get when you twist the throttle open the first time will blow you away. It's really comfortable too!

      +MrPickleahoy Well I've traded in my MT-09/FZ-09 for it, I'm hoping I'll feel a good bit of difference.

      Right about 8000 rpm it really kicks in and sends it, having a power commander is a whole nother beast too. I rode my GSXS1000F an hour back from where i got it from and it was so comfortable even at 70-80 mph, virtually no wind resistance.

    grabbed a 2018 for a 2nd bike. twitchy throttle is barely a thing and easily managed. bike is great

    Nice review! I was at Daytona for Bike Week (on vacation from the UK) but they wouldn't let me ride with a foreign licence (understandable) You mention the bike is smooth and that's great to hear, do you think they've altered the fuelling on the later model bikes? It did have a reputation for a snatchy throttle.

    • @MrPickleahoy
      @MrPickleahoy  8 років тому +1

      Thanks and I hope you had some fun still at Daytona. I did notice the snatchy throttle on the GSX test ride I did last year... It was really hard to be smooth with the engine at low RPMs and the smallest twist of the throttle would give way too much acceleration. I thought it was a fueling issue at the time. For this test ride they must have adjusted the throttle slack properly since it made a world of difference and I was able to ride without having to concentrate on turning the throttle a millimeter at a time. This bike had absolutely no controls issues.

      Hi, well I got a test ride on one today and had no trouble with the throttle or any snatchy behaviour. The dealer said that Suzuki has issued a revised ECU that has been fitted to all models built after Feb 2016 and will retro fit (free of charge) to any affected models bought before that - so that's good to them to rectify that. I really enjoyed the bike and found it nicer to ride than the Yamaha MT-10 (FZ-10 in the USA) that I tested a couple of weeks ago. My only issue with the Suzuki was that I found it cramped, I'm 6'3" and my current bike is a Triumph Tiger Explorer - a totally different machine but previously I was riding a Triumph Speed Triple 1050, which is of course very similar to the GSX-S1000 and the MT-10 and it's that sort of bike I'd like to get back to rather than the adventure/tourer that I have now. The next bike I need to try is the Kawasaki Z1000SX (Ninja 1000 stateside), to see if that fits me better. We really enjoyed our stay in Orlando and of course Daytona Bike Week was great too - my wife and I will be back next year for bike week and will base ourselves in Orlando again. Maybe see you there!

    I enjoyed the test ride-along. Some good info if you are considering this moto (and I am). Personally I could do without the petty criticisms of the dude on the Boulevard. It's a group test ride, you do the best you can with what you've got. Thanks for the vlogwork!

    Great demo ride 👍 and nice comparison to the naked version GSX-S1000. I got the naked n it’s great for the mountains 🏔 just add Hyperpro front fork springs ($300 installed) also fixes the vibration in the grips.Tail of the Dragon 🐉 🐉 🐉 local

    The one I tried wasn't smooth compared to the GSX-R1000. I'm starting to think something was wrong with it.

    How does it do against a vfr1200?

    • @MrPickleahoy
      @MrPickleahoy  8 років тому

      That's a hard question to answer given that Honda offers no test rides so I can only imagine that it would be a lot more comfortable but you would give up the flickability this bike has, it really feels super light compared to other nakeds. A vfr12000 would also not be as rev happy as this thing is. If you do lots of touring it would be a better choice I assume.

      If you have the mentality to go in respecting the power output, Im sure this wouldnt be a bad bike to grow into. The 750 is even friendlier to beginners and is pretty fast still
