    In this video, I am going to share a muscle building diet plan for students who are living in hostel or PG. Now, I have been living away from my home for over 11 years now. And in these 11 years, I have lived in various hostels and PGs. So I assure that all the meals that we are going to discuss today are very much practical in hostel or PG life. Moreover, I completely understand that in student life, we do not have a lot of money to spend on diet. Taking this into consideration, this diet plan is very low in budget yet it is perfect for muscle building. I have shared with you the cost breakup of each meal and at the end of this video, I have shared the monthly budget.
    MEAL 1 - BREAKFAST
    When I was in hostel for breakfast we used to get aloo puri, bhature chhole, paranthas, dosas and all that oily stuff. I would suggest you to avoid it. Along with this I am quite sure that you would be getting one glass of milk. So, we will be using this milk to make a well balanced and a tasty oatmeal.
    MEAL 2 - MID MORNING SNACK
    This is that point of the time, when you are busy attending classes and you would want to have something which is very easy to carry. So, I would suggest you to have 50 grams of bhuna chana along with one handful of unsalted roasted peanuts. These are two things which are very easily available in the Indian market. Together, they form a great combination of complex carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats.
    MEAL 3 - LUNCH
    Whenever we go to the hostel mess, the table is set in such a way that there is rice, chapati, dal, curry, curd and salad. Eating in a hostel mess is all about making the smart choices.
    MEAL 4 - PRE WORKOUT MEAL
    For pre workout meal we need a lot of carbohydrates so that we stay energised throughout the workout. And also, a little bit of protein. So, I will give you three options. You take your pick.
    MEAL 5 - POST WORKOUT MEAL
    Post workout meal is one of the most important meals of the day. I would suggest you to have 6 egg whites along with two bananas. Egg whites because it is a fast digesting lean source of protein. And bananas help replenish the glycogen and prevent muscle soreness.
    MEAL 6 - DINNER
    For dinner, when we go to the mess, we see that the food options on the table are similar to the way they were in lunch. Again, the trick is to choose the best and leave the rest.
    MEAL 7 - BEFORE BED MEAL
    Before bed meal is very important specially living in hostels because we don’t have this habit of sleeping early.

      There are students who spend ₹24 on maggi everyday in the morning and evening which fills absolutely no stomach and accounts for ₹ 720 per month. If you cut that down, this diet is extremely reasonable. You can cut the cost of mid morning snack, pre workout snack and before bed snack which will make the cost about ₹100 per day which is absolutely notching considering that you can't even get a full thali in ₹100 nowadays.

    That's really a great budget diet. I tried too during my med-school (college days). Point to be noted:- High protein is extremely important when you’re doing calorie restriction and want to lose fat and gain muscle but make sure you are drinking enough water throughout the day. We need to consume 1.2 to 1.8 gm per kg of Body Weight per day to gain muscle mass and should be divided into minimum of 4 meals. Our body only absorbs about 30 - 35 gms at one time. Happy Dieting bros...

    Well!!! Bro i watch every of your videos and always learn something new and apply it in my life in order to be physically fit and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
    Some people found it expensive not because of price but, we indians 😅 actually save a lot and do not know how to invest of food.
    And in my case, I belive we are, what we eat. So, if you want to be healthy and fit you should take care of yourself first.

    I express my sincere gratitude towards you for sharing this video with the students worldwide. I have been a hostler for a long time and I can understand the difficulties related to diet. This is the most economical diet advised that fulfills the daily requirements of a body. If the diet is not planned in this way, it leads to different digestive ailments and I have been a sufferer in the past.     I think rs 5000 is not affordable. My parents won't allow me to spend so much money on food. So I have 100 grams of soya chunks daily which costs RS 20 and give me 52 grams of protein. Then 500 ml of milk. And also peanuts and cashews. So my daily protein intake is around 90 grams every day. (My wieght is 60 kg. Chapatis and dal add to my protein intake too.)

      Abhinav Narayan be careful while using soy food items as primary protein source as they(might) in the oestrogen levels in males. I'd say that you should research about this on google for yourself.

    Come on people who are saying it a costly meal plan, it includes all of your breakfast to dinner, total 7 meals in 5000, what more you expect him to do? If You people want body in ₹4 a time then all you will get will be 2 ₹ body.. Lol

    Oh My God here you are suggesting 7 meals...
    But Through out my Engineering
    I eat
    Most of the days
    Just a cup of tea in the morning
    and Dinner at night
    and
    Somedays breakfast in the morning and Dinner at night
    that's it...
    (i drunk 3-5 cups of tea😂😂😂 instead of 3-5 meals a day...)...
