      Yeah, the post offices that I go to or never this nice and I ship things a lot and they're never this full of things on the inside, normally it's totally bare with a few packaging envelopes that aren't the right size no priority boxes or labels out so you have to ask them and then walking up to the counter, they look like they hate you chewing gum like they can't stand your existence and there NEVER this empty they always have a line of angry people because they've been waiting for 20 minutes because there's only one register open 😅 I wish I could get a post office this nice

      @@JubyJub Good question. I would only use an international flat rate box if I knew my stuff was going to weigh more than a few pounds but below 20 lbs. You may want to check the links here for your specific needs: www.usps.com/international/priority-mail-international.htm. I think it's possible to print your customs declaration and print the label online, yet the USPS requires you create and login with an account to do that in order to pay online. Usually most post office locations have boxes you can purchase. However, you may have to buy tape there too to seal your box and package. Another option could be to visit another store (Wal-Mart, etc.) and get a box and packing tape there because it might be cheaper that buying it at the post office.

    Hello! I am trying to ship a gift to Greece. I was wondering how you got the priority mail envelope, or if they just have those there at the post office. I’m also wondering if you can pay more to have it delivered sooner rather than later. Thanks!

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  2 роки тому

      You can buy them at the post office or order priority mail envelopes in bulk online from the USPS. If you pay more for faster delivery, it will be expensive. However, once it enters the country like Greece, it depends on their government policies and how mail works there, so even if you pay more, it could take more time.

      If you are sending to Algeria, I'm not 100% sure if they will charge him to receive packages or not. You will need to check here: pe.usps.com/text/imm/ab_003.htm#ep10378908

    I need to send boxes to mexico.. clothes and shoes of my family. Would you recommend usps or another carrier?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Tania. USPS might be okay. Maybe UPS or FedEx. Sometimes DHL could be an option too. I know the people at Ship7.com also may have some options, but I cannot guarantee anything. It depends on how well the shipping works in the country it is delivered to.

    Do you have to list everything in the package specifically? For example, I'm trying to send clothing and unopened candy to a friend in Poland, and there are multiple packages of candy. Would I list the name of each package or no?

      just say candy don’t have to list each candy

    Hi! I have a question, do I need to buy their boxes or could I use my own?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 роки тому

      You could use your own, yet you will need to fill out all of the information on the customs form, mentioning the value and contents.

    hi, i see you’re answering questions so i hope u can answer mine xD i wanna send a handmade scarf but i don’t know what i should put as the u.s.$ or the nat weight if i don’t have a weight for that?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 роки тому +1

      You could estimate the ounces of what the scarf weighs and write it down. For example, 0.2 or 0.3 lbs. The U.S. $ would be your estimated cost of the product at retail price.

    What if I am sending many boxes all at once? Do I need to fill out the customs form several times?? Or just once for the entire shipping?
    Thank you.

      You will likely need a form for each box explaining the unique contents in each box. Things may have changed though since I made this video a while ago.

    if it’s a letter and a small keychain do i have to use one of those specific packages or is there a different smaller package for that?

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 роки тому +2

      You could try “First Class Mail International” in an envelope. I found this on USPS: . “You can ship items up to 15.994 oz” with First Class Mail International.” If it weighs more than that and is less than 4 lbs (pounds), your next option is “First Class Package International Services.” You could use a padded envelope there or buy one cheaper at Walmart or another office supply store. See more USPS details here👉 www.usps.com/international/mail-shipping-services.htm

    So wat is u shipping something big state to state ... will the postal office give u a big box or u have to come with your own
    ??

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  3 роки тому +1

      It depends on the size of the box. The USPS does have boxes in their stores you can purchase, however they will not pack them for you or put things in it. You will be responsible for that. You could go to an office supply store like Office Depot or somewhere and buy a larger cardboard box for your needs. It may be cheaper that way.

      @ESLWithPurpose  3 роки тому

      Sorry I missed this question. I think any information you can provide for region, city, location in the native language and in English on the package will help. However, I'm not sure how the mail works in Colombia.

    Howdy Friend! I hope you are still answering questions! Im planning on shipping a bracelet and a letter to Ukraine, but Im not sure if I can just include the bracelet inside of the envelope with the letter or if I should get a bigger package to put them both inside of.
    Also for foreign countries, should the address be in English? Or the countries language?
    Thanks alot!

    • @imkaitran
      @imkaitran 2 роки тому +2

      As far as I know, the address must be in English. Or there must be an English translation below every line if the address isn't written in English. Hope this helps!

    • @ESLWithPurpose
      @ESLWithPurpose  2 роки тому +1

      Having the translation with the English is best, so both parties involved can know how to deliver it. However, given the situation now in Ukraine, I honestly don't know now.

    Can you ship glass jars through usps to other countries?

    • @ESLWithPurpose

      It all depends on the other country's limitations and restrictions. Usually you cannot ship liquid in glass jars, but I could be mistaken. I found this resource which may be helpful for you: www.easyship.com/blog/usps-shipping-restrictions
