The key on the spline and inner pully, is it enough protruding after you put the sleeve to engage into the engine shaft? I just got my 30 series yesterday. Gonna put it on a honda gx100. Needs same shaft adapter or sleeve 5/8 to 3/4 and im worried the key will not seat very far into the grove on the shaft. Maybe i should run a pin through the sleeve and shaft? Idk. How is it working out for you?
Hell yeah man, I never got a notification but I’m glad I got to see it before too long, glad to see it’s coming along good EDIT: you put the belt on backwards, the angled side of the belt needs to be against the angled side of the front pulley, NOT the flat side, other than that it was a great video
Kind of a trick motor to get on a bike I have the same motor almost done with it too just need a throttle cable but I made my own mounts and torque converter but yours looks good man
Hey Jacob, nice video, and nice upgrades, the bike is much improved from when you first put it together. I just want to offer some very constructive criticism. Building a bike starts with the frame, which is the foundation. Like a house you never build on a weak foundation. You really need to fabricate and address mounting your engine in a proper and mechanically sound way. Go ahead and mock up your mounts so you have alignment fit proper and engineer in the ability to move engine fore and aft to facillitate chain tension etc. I don't know if the frame is steel or aluminum, if alum. you'll need to take it to a welder who is highly profecient in Tig welding. If steel a competent welder will do. Really do yourself a favor and mount the engine the way it should be solid, with no weak points. Think about it. Keep up the good work and keep putting out videos. Thanks.
I like construction criticism and appreciate the input. As always, it gives me more eyes and thoughts on problems I need to address. Thanks for watching!
@@RidingWiithJacob I left a message on yer other video about how to mount your gas tank with the original mounting brackets flipped over on the top of your frame also. It looks much cleaner than the brackets going under the frame bar.
@@ikev60 do you have the 79cc engine? The 79cc engine I have (predator has a 5/8 inch shaft) the adapter slipped right on for me making the shaft 3/8” no issues.
You mentioned they do sell a torque converter for the 79cc, could you provide a link or the name? Nice bike you have there. Also does a 212 fit in that frame?
@@RidingWiithJacob i currently have a felt faker gas frame and i had thought about getting one like yours. I have no experience with 4 strokes on my bike, but i am looking at a few engines. Things that are of concern is clearances of coarse, but also how wide those engines are, and when outting on a torque converter makes it that much more. I definitely want a torque converter , but id want to be able to just put it on and not have to mess with it too much. Ive seen videos where ppl are messing with the weights and springs to get them to work right with the 79cc. Maybe ill get lucky with a 136cc engine?
The slanted part of the belt faces away from the engine the driver pully plate with the keyway is flat so the flat end of the belt needs to face the engine
Amazon for the torque converter, bike berry for the sprocket just type schwinn occ chopper and it will put up different sprocket tooth selections for your application.
What chain are you running on this? On BikeBerry I can only find sprockets that are for a 415 Chain (regular bicycle chain) If that’s the case, what front sprocket are you using that fits the torque converter? It looks like the torque converter only has a sprocket for a 35 chain or 40 chain (typical mini bike and go cart chains) Any info in much appreciated. Love the videos!
I plan on going with a rebuilt centrifugal clutch and a 60 tooth sprocket because its a 20 inch tire You need the biggest sprocket you can get which 60 tooth go for about 30 dollars so not that bad Edit prepare to suffer getting the gas tank to stay on lol I have personal experience it took me forever to find a good way to keep it on
I have 4 and 1 Jesse James occ bicycle chopper. The one Schwinn is an all aluminium crusader.....just have to be vigilante on whatever 2nd hand sites are in your area
Will anyone be willing to help answer a couple of questions? 1. What do you do with the tube coming out of the OHV? 2. What is a good torgue converter that isn't the most expensive? Already have the adapter to goto 3/4
Skip to 7:13 for torque converter install! Thanks for watching👍🏼
Good vdo except lose the music, it deters from the content and distracting/annoying!
Flat side of the belt towards the engine, beveled side towards the Torque converter 👍🏼
Genius dude! I built hundreds of these with a 212+ but never new you could use the 79cc engine. Good info!
Been wondering about putting that CVT on the 79cc..appreciated you sharing the build. Good luck.
Thanks hopefully next video we see how it works!
Need this torque converter on my phatmoto. N then get a rear drive belt. No more chains or centrifuge clutch to mess with.
hey man i’m doing the same exact thing, i have a red stingray, you inspire me and i love the build
Thank you for watching! Means a lot, good luck on the build🤙🏼
I'm loving the vids. Great job

I used the same setup for my mini side by side it worked flawless
Hey man can you please add a link to the new sprocket set up please...love your build

Amazon's got that sleeve for $7.99 and the torque converter set up for 53.00

Parts list please and where to buy..!! Thank you

Where did you get the space please I would love a link
Mans said slanted side of the belt towards the engine. Hope he figured that mistake out quickly...
Yep switched around👍🏼
nice
what is the torgue converter name?
And what do you do with the tube coming out of the OHV?
Already have the adapter also
This is most likely a 30 series comet clone CVT. Can be purchased on many platforms. Idk about the tube
Where are you finding ⅝ driver torque converters? All I see is ¾ shafts
Amazon, you can also buy a 5/8 to 3/4shaft sleeve adapter
I just wonder if that key sticks out far enough after you put that adapter on
3:12 where you get that part do you have a link
a.co/d/114mygG this should be it, I believe a 5/8th to 3/4 shaft adapter sleeve
Did the keys in the driver pulley reach through the adapter bushing into the keyway of the drive shaft?
Yes it worked perfectly. The 212cc torque converter parts were keyed and they all fit onto the adapter.

what size chain did u use
You definitely have to Red loctite those bolts on that adapter I put one on a fat tire bike those bolts came loose right away
Hey @riding with Jacob, I would like to contact you with questions. How may I do so?
Can you give me a list of parts price and where to get everything I got my 212 predator motor and chopper bicycle

Nope

A 212cc will fit if you chop the bottom frame then weld a steel sheet 2-3 inches lower.

those cnc mounts are ass i dont recomened to use them they screw up rims and spokes especially if your chain might happen to pop
If u get the right size there the best wont slip uses the hub in stead of putting the torque on spokes
