I live in Texas and have notice the marked decline. I love watching them fluttering in my milkweed plant and my butterfly plant. I had a few Monarch caterpillars eating off of the milkweed plant this year so I plan to plant quite a few more and hopefully attract more Monarchs. Let's spread the word to those who are in the Monarch paths to plant more milkweed for them to feed on and encourage more organic farming. Thanks for the very informative video.

I used to see so many Monarchs flying over where I grew up in the Bay Area. Now I can't even remember the last time I saw one. Hell, I can't remember the last time I saw many of the insects I used to see as a kid all the time flying or crawling around.

    So sad!
Here in SoCal, our wild flower yard of Native Narrow-leaf Milkweed has seen much fewer visitors so far this year than in previous years. Unfortunately local Box stores continue to sell non-native "Tropical Milkweed", though the Monarchs in my years of growing both, actually prefer laying/eating the Tropical Wild Leaf when they have a choice.
    Thank you for your efforts!

And they also continue to sell things like Round Up and other poisons that people continue to spray all over. Then there is also the native plants that were destroyed when they built that box store ...
