All is not lost, however, thanks to conservation groups like Monarch Joint Venture (MJV) Wendy Caldwell explains what we can do to help deter the extinction of the Monarch and our other crucial pollinators.

Rebuild habitat for sure - and bless you for it - but also lobby hard for more organic farming support and a stop to the virtual non-stop poisoning of our farm lands by BigAg. Those poisons have wiped out millions of insects in recent years and are also death to frogs, birds, and everything else all the way up the food chain to us. They cause humans various types of cancers, asthma, neurological damage, fertility issues, birth defects, and are linked to the world wide epidemic of Parkinson's Disease. We MUST stop poisoning our planet, but currently TONS of these chemicals are being sprayed every single year.

Great message. If folks would just consider converting these huge house yards to flowering habitat-what a great help this would be! Plus, why spend your summer on a lousy lawn mower with fuel at $3.60 or more a gallon? Ugh!
