I don't think that's how it works... could be wrong here but I think Klaus' gift at the end of 2 was partially making Pyra and Mythra human, which is why they're able to have kids unlike blades. Could also be the reason why Rex talks about them as if they were dead in Future Redeemed

Klaus' gift at the end of 2 not limited to Pyra and Mythra, in the XC3 Mio is directly related to Nia.. and Linka in Future Redemeed is directly related to Pandoria and Zeke if you do all of the Rex cooking and her birthday quest you will know.. Yeah I think Klaus make blade function more like normal human.. so they can love and have descendants with human in Alrest and Even Homs in world of Keves.. I think it's because he listen to what Rex said to him to entrusted their wish of happiness to next generation

I mean, who said she had to be a secret. Fiora doesn't appear in Future Redeemed(outside a flashbacks), so she could potentially be dead, which could help explain why Shulk isn't really feeling it anymore, and there was the time when Fiora asked Melia to take care of Shulk if she ever passed.
I'm not saying it's likely, but it isn't that large of a leap in logic.
