I love how with Rex, the references to his past adventures are pretty subtle, but with Shulk, they're just like "Hey, remember when you turned down the chance to be a God?" or "Remember when Zanza lived inside you?"
Xenoblade 3 really likes to play favorites with 1 Especially in the base game. The dlc did it too but at least the Xenoblade 2 representation was very good and felt respectful to the fans, Unlike the 60+ hours base game where over 75% was Xenoblade 1 and the agnus cast had basically no screen time. Definitely one of the most disappointing things about 3 the game to build off of and reference the predecessors except 2?!

Personally I'd love a xenoblade chronicles anime. Where the episodes aren't following a specific story but are telling short stories that happen in between certain events. Like Rex becoming a father, what happened directly after the world split by klaus or what happened to Noah after the events of XC 3

I would have loved it if at some point in future redeemed he told us a new rule of a salvager's code and said "That's rule 36 of the salvager's code"! Meaning he never stopped telling his friends the rules of a salvager's code after the end of Xc2 and is currently on rule 36. 😂

If Logos was in the equation at all, it would have used “ellos” instead. tl;dr Spanish dub strongly implies Rex is NOT referring to Logos in that line (though take that with a grain of salt since there’s always a risk of translation errors when it comes to ambiguous stuff like this).

Yeah I feel like a lot of people's dislike of Rex was from his design and early game lackluster voice acting. Rex wasn't that different in Future Redeemed personalitywise. Yet a lot of people say he was the best part of Future Redeemed.
That's the thing with characters like Rex, they are conceptually kinda boring which is why good execution is very important in making them a good character.
I’ve always liked Rex despite him being young & immature. Something about his attitude I like & the character growth he goes. Seeing him fully grown seals the deal on him being my favorite character.

My belief is that it is the Cassini ethos that Masha mentioned, or some variation thereof. Cassini taking its values at least in part from Rex's Salvager's Code is thematically touching, and it's a nice way to bring the rule 5 meme to a heartwarming conclusion.

Ive also realized how similar noah is to rex. When jin asks rex about what if he dies before he achieves it, rex doesn't care, the same thing is echoed by noah in his fight with N. Also the gauntlet for lucky 7 looks so much like rex's left arm when he's being powered up by pneuma.

As someone who doesn't play xenoblade but has seen some videos on Pyra, Mythra and the harem ending, I am confused as to why Glimmer doesn't know Rex is her dad.
Its kinda sad how in xc2, rex says "We'll show them a thing or 3" but in xc3 fr rex says "*I'll* show them a thing or 3". It shows how rex has accepted that he's alone without his friends and is fighting without them aswell.
He’s a dad now, so it makes sense that he’s strict to Glimmer and as for enemies who can’t be talked to their senses, well… double spinning edge is the legit option for him
