As a petite woman with small hands, I love the Sig 365 .380. The trigger and reset are very.good allowing me to get quick follow-up shots. It did have a break in period of 100 rounds but has never malfunctioned after that at all. A great Pistol for women or people with small hands. My friend with large hands does not like it; however.
We own 2 sig 365 - 380's with about 800 rounds through them. 3 stove pipes total, 1 each on the very first magazine ran through them, the 2nd was on my wife's after she got tired shooting about 100 rounds. My wife has some arthritis issues but can manage all aspects of carrying this without issue, light recoil and easy enough to rack, not much harder than our LCP II 22lr 380 pmc brass 90 grain ammo can be found for .32c per round including delivery, 9mm Blazer brass is around .28c with delivery so practice ammo cost isn't a deal breaker. We feel like we made the right choice and it works well that she can manage guns both if the situation warrants. Look forward to the update. Thank you Chris
@@andyrihn1 LCP max is bomb. I love the thing. It's just so handy. I don't think the recoil is very much at all. Easy to shoot. Sigs looks interesting, but I'm waiting for Tim at MAC to break it, and tell them what to fix....
i love my .380 EZ and also LCP 2. both run extremely well. i had a glock 42 and it wasn't very reliable. it used to lock open before mags were empty. also jams occasionally. after a few hundred rounds it smoothed out and ran well. zero issues with the ruger and smith .
Chris...a long-term review would be appreciated. It might be interesting to have a couple of novice shooters put some rounds through the gun and see if they have cycling problems. As for a carry gun for yourself, if you've run 400 rounds and not had problems I think you're safe carrying it.
I bought a P365-380, then installed the P365x grip module and use the 12 round mags. I also mounted a Holosun 507k. The x-size grip module is ideal, in my opinion. This setup is OUTSTANDING for training new shooters. And you are correct - the .380 shines brightest in sub-compact frames (like this and the Baretta 80x). I have also carried this setup - and have no hesitation in recommending it as a carry option to my students.
I'm a fan of the .380. Sold my LCP 2, Bersa CC and S & W Bodyguard for the LCP Max. Very pleased with it and when they announced the P365-380 i thought yeah maybe as i already have the regular P365 and XL. Saw the P365-380 at my LGS. With the Romeo Elite, tall sights and .380 caliber i had to have it. Took it to range and was not dissapointed. Shoots very well, soft recoil and for me no malfunctions with hollowpoints or fmj. It is now my favorite carry gun.

I just saw this video. I’ve had this gun for a little over 6 months and shoot it once or twice a week. I’m close to 800+ rounds so far. My impressions? This is by far the best 365, hands down!!! I had a 9mm that I loved it but I have big hands and I couldn’t get the proper grip with the 9 to be effective in defensive timed drills. I have no such issues with this gun. It fast, flat, and extremely accurate. So far I’ve never had a malfunction 🤞🏻and I generally only clean it after about 200+ rounds. With a “death grip” on it, it’s almost like shooting a 22lr pistol. To say it’s a game changer would be an understatement!!
Great video ! We have one used as a class gun with well over 1,000 rounds thru it so far. It is a BIG hit with the newer shooters. Most common comment is “can I take this home with me ?!?!” I know of several students that have purchased one after a class. We feed ours a steady diet of MagTech or S&B and it has been 100% reliable with all students.
My 365-380 jamed alot and the slide often didnt want to seat. It felt as though the 2 brands of ammo I was using was underpowered. So I switched to Underwood 380 +P 90 gr. XTP Ammo and it shoots like a dream. 90 gr. XTP at 1200 FPS has a very good potential to stop someone from harming you.
I really enjoyed this review! The P365-380 is soooo nice to shoot, but I had a really similar experience in that I could induce malfunctions quite easily. It also seems like holster compatibility might be an issue with the slide being slightly thinner. I only had the chance to try it in a fixed retention holster, which allowed for a lot of play in the fit of the holster, but maybe an adjustable retention holster would take to it better. I'd love to see a longterm review on this! If it turns out to be a more reliable gun I would have no problem switching out my 9mm P365 for the .380!
Vedder holsters doesn’t specifically make one for the .380 so I contacted them. They said it will fit just as good as the 9mm. I ordered one and sure enough it clicks in perfect it’s litterally the best holster fit I’ve ever had
Just got one, had a tough time finding a holster for the lower bore axis slide. Took me a minute to find one but Tulster makes them specific for the 365-.380 for optics cut or non optics cut. I got the Oath and took the mod wing off- great setup for the .380. Tulster hmu w/ a discount code 😅🤙🏽
I would definitely like to see a follow-up, long term review of this weapon. I was a bit dismayed to see how easily a bad grip could invoke feed failures. Would be nice to see how reliable this pistol is over one or two thousand rounds and a variety of carry scenarios.
i have the sig p365 in 380, this gun is excellent, absolutely no no no issues, purchased april 2024 new....it fires all loads with no issues......i. have fired 1000 rounds so far.....i installed the manual safety with no issues and i added the wilson grip, the magazine release button was impossible for me to install, so my friend installed it for me....l ....go figure, lol...i also bought the Ruger 380 easy rack security, for $300.00 dollars, this is a fantastic pistol, so i bought a 9mm security 9 for the same price, both guns are fantastic and at a great price.....however i had to return the security 9 because of light primer strikes, 4 days later Ruger returned the weapon to me fixed, great service, not like S&W who takes forever to do anything...
Please do the long-term review, Chris. By the way, I attended John Hearne's lecture and Cognitive Pistol class in Chicago based on your rec. They were both outstanding--thanks to you both!
Not many reviews on YT so far, but the limited ones I've seen are promising..I've ordered some and it's on the way so I can test myself. I believe it will be satisfactory, Federal Premium ammo has built a GREAT reputation and they stand by their products 10000%..I. would almost say I trust them lol.
@@hinglemccringleberry6009 Yeah there are few brands I trust without the need to see 20 different test from the compnay and independent reviewers, and Federal is one of those at the very top. That said, .380 is kinda weird in that much of the bullet design and loads came from decade gone where .380's were larger with longer barrels (PPK, P230, 84, etc). Pocket .380's are a different beast when it come to loading for them and they seem to ride right on the edge of a razor when it come to expansion vs penetration. So any, and all, testing we can see done with these newer loads is crucial for understanding ballistics from these micro pistols in my opinion. That said, if I had to carry a .380 right now, I'd be reaching for the Hydra-shok Deep.
@@OceanKing6725 yeah, I've been carrying the XTP offerings in .380 for years (Hornady, Underwood, or precision one) they do exceptionally well for .380 and I'm pretty confident that these Deep's will supersede them.
What a great review--new shooter here and really appreciated the discussion about getting the slide to cycle properly as I was having some issues w/that recently. Thanks for being thorough and not just rah-rah like so many of these reviews can be.
wow, first 380 sig review that actually cought my interest by presenting vital info,,,most of the reviewers cry about great design due to not loosing rear sight when installing optic and other bs' of similiar nature, altought you touched the subject you are the only one so far who implied that it only make sense with supressor height sights,,,really liked your presentation,,,,
No FTF or stove pipes in mine. Had 3 light strikes, cleaned off the firing pin from all the oil they dunk these guns in at factory, and about 1000 rounds with no issues since. Carry with underwood xtreme defender, ballistics for 380 hit FBI standards and “barrier blind.”
Well done on the video. I bought my P365-380 a few weeks ago and had intermittent failure to eject and failure to lock the slide. I sent the pistol back to Sig and about a week later it came back with a new barrel. Back to the range and I've yet to have any malfunctions. Yes, please do a long-term follow-up and keep up the good work too!
I just finished my best qualification scores, ever, using the P365 .380, seriously a great pistol, and I’ve shot many w/longer barrels from Beretta, Glock, S&W. Excellent shooting pistol with the 12 RD. Mag.
Chris makes so much sense. He brings no prejudice to his reviews, and tells us all the points as carefully as he can. My takeaway is that the smaller the EDC gun is, the smaller the caliber should be. I don't believe that 9mm pocket rockets are a good idea for your average shooter, but a compact model (or bigger) in 9mm, such as the Beretta PX4, does make sense to me.
I KNOW this was made to Counter the Ever-Popular Smith and Wesson M&P 380 Shield EZ! (Heck, I own a Performance Center Version, and it's my Concealed Carry Gun!) Good to See some Competition in the 380 market with this Handgun! More Options for the Consumer Market, Courtesy of SIG SAUER! Great Work on this, Chris!
All the interest in the .380 is awesome. Glad to see more manufacturers making pistols in this caliber. Nice review. Run that thing like you stole it and let us know how it did!
Another factor , and this is extremely important, is that the 3.1 inch 380 barrel picks up 50-75 fps or more over short barrel pistols in 380. Letting loads like Hornady critical defense to get 975-1000 fps.
P365 9mm to 380 X-cal conversion kit is available at Sig for $399, and starting to show up at online stores for $300'ish. Comes with slide, barrel, recoil assy, grip module, and one 10rd mag.
Definitely interested in a long term review of this. Mine has not had the stovepipe issues with .380 PMC. And I even tried the same weak grip test as you. Going to keep testing other brands of ammo. Thanks for the videos!
Long term review by all means. I have outgrown my Keltec P32, and am seriously considering the P365 380. I have two Ruger LC9s models and the recoil is a bit snappy. I like the idea of the factory mounted optic.
Never in my life have I thought to trim my nails after a shower, that you Chris you have forever changed my life. Also, do a review on a sig p230/232 it’s what I’m carrying these days lol
This gun is really fun to shoot! My wife and I had a blast at the range. I have the G43x as well and my wife thought it was a little too much for her. She throughly enjoyed the 365-380. We had a few malfunctions at the beginning but then it ran perfectly. I just think the gun needs some sort of a break in period as well as carrying reliable ammo. Overall, this gun is accurate and easy to carry, super lightweight and concealable.
I'd be interested in an XL version (little longer barrel and grip) of the P365-380 for further reduced recoil, easier draw from concealment, and easier concealment appendix (yes, longer guns conceal easier).
.380 has been my "go-to" for quite sometime now. Beretta 85, LCP Max (daily carry), 2 versions of the Bersa and a Baby Rock . I am seriously looking at the P365-380 now. Looks like I will be heading to local shop and doin some trading! South eastern Arizona
How does the Baby Rock shoot for you? I've been looking at that pistol. It's one of the few .380's that I can get a full grip on. Most are "pinky-danglers" even with my relatively small hands. But, if you can put a 365X grip frame on the P365-380 as Chris seems to say in this video, that might cement my decision to just get a P365-380.
@@GhostFoxvonBohmen The Baby Rock was not a winner in my hands. I have come to the realization that the 1911 style is not for me! So, the Baby Rock & one of the Bersa's was traded in and I picked up a Ruger Security 380. I put 3 boxes, 95 gr FMJ's, through the thing in record time, and I absolutely LOVE IT! Just picked up 400 more rounds, gonna have some fun! No longer looking at the P-365 at all!
@@donnyarmstrong9559 Now you're making things difficult for me! 😀 The Security 380 was the other pistol at the top of my list. Thanks for your input. I guess I'll have to see if I can find one locally and actually get my hands on these two guns to compare for myself. The fact that the Ruger is almost half the price of the Sig might sway my decision as well. The Sig will have to do a lot to justify the price difference.
@@GhostFoxvonBohmen Sounds like you have some work ahead of you Amigo! The Ruger is physically bigger, more of a duty size, than the Sig. The Sig, much like the LCP MAX, is very easy to carry and wont print like the Security 380.
Yes, please do a follow up down the road. There's multiple posts about the cycling failures as well as multiple suggestions for resolutions. Primarily polishing the cartridge ramp.
Thanks for the video. I just started carrying the P365 in .380 and appreciated your comments about a proper grip and potential for stovepiping. Thanks again.
I had a couple light strikes with mine the first 100 or so rounds but it's been good the last 500 or so, and it shoots even better with the 12-round X grip. I feel like this thing in .30SC would be great too, and it would hold like 15 in the X-grip mags!
Indeed. My Shield Plus in 30 Super Carry is 16+1 with the slightly extended mag. Less recoil than 9mm too. It truly feels like duty gun performance in a micro compact package.
@@vlogfriendsutopia Now that the Macro is out, I really hope Sig makes .30SC's. It would probably hold like 20 or 21 of those, and have a real pistol light and dot.
@@fender_ketchup True. I hope they do that as well. I'm personally just waiting for the day they release those new longer mags for the Equalizer and 9mm Shield Plus' in 30SC. They'd probably also be about 20+1 rounds.
Hello Chris, and thanks for another great video! The content of your videos is always good, and obviously you have a high-dollar camera because the video picture and the audio quality are both always excellent. A long term review of the Sig P365-380 would be much appreciated by many of your viewers.
Been awhile since I watched your reviews. 1. Basically for this gun hold it properly and use good ammo. 2. The non optic variant is all one ever needs. 3. Yes I’ve known about clipping nails post shower since I was a kid.
First of all, thank you so much for doing this video. My p365-380 did not want to run at all and is going back to sig. But, big but, it is a fantastic concept and a beautiful gun. 380 is a fine caliber and I wish folks (who probably don’t carry their guns anyway) could drop the machismo and realize that 380 works wonderfully in a gun like this.
@@LuckyGunner they tried to thread the needle I think in terms of taking weight out of the slide and keeping the two models similar enough to use same accessories. I hope mine becomes reliable.
Did yours have a red dot with it? Just curious because my experience has told me that a new gun(fresh springs) seems to need a real firm grip or some higher grain loads to help move the slide and cycle a new round. I had a Glock 45 MOS and it wouldn’t cycle at all with a Holosun on it.
@@MrDmthomp32 great point, but it did not. I got the plain Jane version. I shot 300 rounds through it (50 ball, 20 critical defense, 20 white box hollow points, 20 sliver tip, 50 Lehigh, 50 hornady black, etc.) and 60 percent of those were stove pipes. :( it could be my grip I guess, but I bet I am one of the folks who got a bulged recoil spring. I see a lot of that in forums.
@@argoshikan that’s a bummer. Sig has a history of their first gen pistols being tested by the public. Sorry to hear you got a bad one. Hopefully it will get resolved!
Sig relentlessly advertises all the advantages of their modular pistols and how versatile it makes them, just to refuse to even sell the parts you need to convert them so you have to buy multiple guns anyway
Appreciate the limp wristing causes stovepiping/cycling issues when firing 380 acp. Good info every new shooter should know ... and solve with improved gripping. Improved gripping may require a modified or aftermarket larger grip (larger hands), a grip sleeve, grip tape (to build bulk in the right spots) or just a different way to grip the gun. Personally, I fired the 380 more accurately than the 9mm stock grip because of the less recoil. Simply put, the stock P365 grip is just too small for my hands. The lower recoil of the p365-380 put me back on target faster than the p365 9mm. Both were slower than my s&w ez's chambered in 380 acp (performance center model), 9mm and 30 supercarry. I've asked others p365 9mm owners how they like them. All approved. Then, I asked how accurately they shoot them. Many expressed poor results. They experience the same thing as I do ..l did. My solution was a different grip, a wilson combat grip with 3 weights added. The gun stays put in my grip, making aiming smoother and quicker AND less stressful on my hands. This allows me to fire 3 times the previous number without pain both during and following day.
Hey, Chris. A piece of advice, re cycle reliability in the larger .380s: I have fired three ASI Hand-Sized Pistol Championships thus far with my Glock 42 loaded with Super Vel "Pocket Rocket" 80-grain Solid Copper Hollowpoint, and not had a single malfunction. My theory is that certain large .380s are oversprung for typical .380 loads. The Pocket Rocket is not a +P .380 load - because there is no such thing - but when you pull the trigger on this stuff it is very obvious it's not normal .380. Pocket Rocket gives the larger, heavier-slide .380s enough recoil energy that they actually work.
I just ran across this video…awesome review. Your rapport with the camera is good. I actually enjoy watching it. I subscribed. I would definitely watch more detailed review about the sig .380. Interesting point about the unreliability and weak grip…armed and styled had alot of unreliability when she shot it. Maybe her grip of the weapon was in the range of being more prone to cause malfunctions. You should see if the weak grip of the pistol still causes stove pipes with a longer slide from the xl.
Well I bought this gun today after seeing this video. It was a JAM O'MATIC,!!! I was getting constant fail to feeds using fiocchi defense dynamic rounds for the first hundred rounds. Every fourth or fifth round would hang up. I then switched to sellier and bellot round nose FMJ for the next 50 rounds with no issues. I’m going to run 200 more rounds next week before making a decision to send it back to sig. I’m sitting at home tonight thinking I should have bought a 32 revolver
Glad to see another good 380 come on the scene. The 380 EZ shoots great. I’ve put 500 rounds through mine and no problems. I think the P 365 in 380 will be a good one. Looking forward to trying it out.
Yeah ammo cost & availability are the big concerns. And if someone’s going to carry a .380 then you really want to use carefully chosen, premium defensive ammo, and those loads can be particularly costly and hard to find.
Really helpful. I never knew that your grip could cause a malfunction. I don't have a lot of experience, so I've never run into that, but I wouldn't have guessed it would matter that much.
It's a great gun. Pick one up a couple months ago. I like it better in the 380 then the 9mm. Better control for me in follow up shots. Had one malfunction in the 30 rounds. Been great in the past 200 rounds. Will start carrying this soon after more rounds. And yes the mags are very hard to load. Seems harder then the 9mm. Over all I really like the 365 in 380.
A Shield Plus and P365XL would be neat in 380. There is something to be said about being able to rapidly and accurately put rounds on target, which trumps the superior performance of 9x19 if you can shoot 380 better.
I don’t disagree with you as I think the .380 in a shield plus would be an ideal firearm for my wife. That said my shield plus is very mild in terms of recoil for a sub compact 9mm. Big fan!!
If I remember correctly the p365xL frame is compatable with the p365(9mm) slide and this video said the p365(380) slidd is compatible with the p365(9mm) frame therefore wouldn't the p365(380) slide be compatible with the p365xL frame?
I recently purchased the sig 365-380 and put 50 rounds of PMC through it. The second shot was a stovepipe the following shots were fine. It’s early but I plan to put more through it today. My initial impressions are positive. I really like the lack of recoil, the sights and the capacity. The first rounds I shot with the flush mag and it was still easy to control with my large hands. I also have a Glock 42 which I like too. I have purchased various defensive rounds all 90 grains. Appreciate your videos I find them helpful to navigate through the ammo choices.
I would love to see you do further testing of the Sig P365-380 to see if it is eventually a reliable carry gun. I agree how important being able to shoot easily is under pressure. I worry about the issues that you mentioned. It would be great to see some review of the Ruger Max LCP 380 too for a potential carry. I know you said it is a pocket pistol and that means it really is in a different class, but your evaluation would be highly appreciated since you have done videos previously on Pocket pistols. Thank you for your excellent videos. I learn so much from them.
I can absolutely confirm the "cutting your nails after a shower" trick. MUCH EASIER. Also, shaving post shower is more comfortable. Thanks for the review. I carry the 365XL and love it. I also carry an LCP Max for quick trips, and really enjoy it
I have the 9mm and my son's girlfriend just bought this .380 model. They are identical in size (her .380 fit my 9mm holster perfectly. Even the magazines fit (unloaded anyway) interchangeably. I am hoping I get to try hers out soon.
You're right, the wider grip means the Max is spreading recoil over a wider area, which should make it easier to shoot than the original LCP for most people. I still think the P365-380 is in a different class in terms of shootability
@@LuckyGunner tbf it’s not just a different class of shootability but a different class of gun. A glock17 is more shootable than a p365 but they do different things. I don’t carry a LCP max because it’s particularly shootable. It isn’t. I carry it because it fits in the pockets of almost any normal pair of mens pants
I was hoping that the P365-380 would be fully convertible. The fire control module certainly allows it. As far as reliability goes, I think that could be improved by lengthening the barrel to 3.5 inches and reducing the weight of the recoil spring slightly, say half a pound or so. Obviously a barrel and slide change of that sort is a full retooling thing, so I don't expect Sig to do that. Since the recoil spring is a captive coaxial pair of springs, perhaps the reliability can be improved simply by reducing the weight of the inner full length spring and shortening the outer spring just a bit. I'm talking some simple fine tuning here so that the 380 isn't so grip sensitive. Going to a blowback action would ruin the point of 380, so I wouldn't go there. Maybe Wolf, Wilson Combat, et al will come out with aftermarket recoil springs that are tuned a bit more inline for what you get from a 380 ACP. Or you can shoot those 99gr Federal HSTs. They have more power than other 380s I've shot.
380acp is a perfect caliber for a gun that size. Now we'll see if Springfield will release the Hellcat in 380acp or not. But for the time being my i mean my wife's P365 runs like a charm. Thanks young Chris for the video and stop limp writing the gun. Also can we get a discount on 380acp ammo on your website being you just released this video?
I have several P365s in 9mm and find them easy to shoot and accurate. My wife really struggles with the recoil. I'd like to see more of the 365 - .380 to know if it might be a better choice for her
I’m in a similar situation. I think the .380 would be perfect for my wife. I encourage her and I glad she is taking an interest. I’m on a mission to find the perfect one for her. Good luck with your choice
She’s set on the macro and that’s fine because she’ll get that and then ultimately it will become mine and probably get her the .380. I’m still torn between the 365 xl or the regular 365. I’ll probably get the 365 first.
I wish traditionally blowback calibers weren't hamstrung by relatively inconsistent loadings across manufacturers and generally not being loaded all that hot because of legacy pistols in the market. The advice of buying European ammo because it's hotter also is a bit unreliable, as a lot of it just does not feel any different than ammo from North America or Asia. I'd love to see more on the 365 .380! Definitely seems like an interesting contender
Would love to see a long-term review. Been waiting for the micro compact 380s to come out. I personally find the p365 to be sufficiently comfortable, particularly with the 12 round magazine kicks softer than my p320. But I've had a recurring wrist injury, and every now and again I will aggravate it. The recoil slams right into the injury. Makes my p320 feel worse than a 44 mag. Damn near dropped a p365 when I first shot it, not realizing I'd recently re-aggravated it. So where I don't need it most of the time. I could definitely see it being handy. An XL version would be nice for teaching my more recoil sensitive friends pistol marksmanship as I don't have a 22.
Thank you for the review! Really interested in this gun. My wife is very recoil sensitive, and hates shooting the 9mm. Got her a S&W 380 EZ that she can shoot. But I really wanted something that she could 1) more easily carry, and 2) mount a holosun 507k optic to. This gun addresses both.
I am learning, some experience…looking for a better hand fit with less recoil. Rented at the range to try this out and I loved it. Shooting was actually fun, consistently hit within same holes on target. Very smooth.
I agree about the 380 pocket pistols vs midsize pistols. I have a LCP Max and G42. Love both, but the G42 shoots much smoother and tons less recoil. I prefer carrying the LCP Max in summer because of concealability.
Picking the G42 was literally an at the counter decision for me. Love the G42, but I may still get the LCP Max once I put 300 more rounds on my G42 so I can rotate them out. To me, the concealability of the LCP Max will always make them an attractive option.
This is the first I’ve heard of the ‘limp wrist’ causing .380 to not cycle correctly. I totally appreciate that info. I will see if a better gorilla grip helps!!! Thanks again!!
Great review Chris. Yes please to long term review. I admire the LCP 380 max but when i rent it, i can't hit a thing. So i'm considering the new 380 for the exact positive reasons you've touched on.
Hi Chris. I appreciate your fair and thorough review. I’m tempted to buy this for my wife for EDC, but I am concerned about the failures you and others have experienced. I would love to know how you feel about it now after you’ve had the chance to break it in a little more. Thank you.
We have one of these with a Holosun on it. I've put the slide on my XL frame & used the 15 round mags loaded up with 380 & had no issues. It's so easy to shoot. The Glock 42 has also been a fantastic little gun for me.
I'm waiting for this slide, and I'm also likely to get the tall sights and a DPM spring kit for it. That will allow you to lighten the recoil spring which should eliminate the stovepipe issue.
Thanks for the heads up, I did not even see that. Must have been recently added to their store. Price is kinda steep (but I guess that goes for everything in the Sig store). Would be nice if they'd sell it without the grip module and knock off $50 or so.
@@LuckyGunner I did try to price all the parts individually (using best accommodation of 9mm parts prices as reference) and the kit some out at little savings vs buying everything separate. Did wish it came with 2 mags, but its nice you get it straight to the door and not have to do another 4473
Good input, thanks. I am considering one of these, already have two of the 9mm. Off the subject, but cannot help but notice on all the guns you tested there is variability of the discharge. Some have a flash and cleaner looking smoke, then the next shots have no flash and dirty looking smoke discharge. What's up with that?
A very good and well-balanced review. I don't see enough here to consider switching from the Sig P238 (with the extended magazines) which has been rock solid for me.
This is the review I needed to see. Thanks!
We own 2 sig 365 - 380's with about 800 rounds through them. 3 stove pipes total, 1 each on the very first magazine ran through them, the 2nd was on my wife's after she got tired shooting about 100 rounds.
My wife has some arthritis issues but can manage all aspects of carrying this without issue, light recoil and easy enough to rack, not much harder than our LCP II 22lr
380 pmc brass 90 grain ammo can be found for .32c per round including delivery, 9mm Blazer brass is around .28c with delivery so practice ammo cost isn't a deal breaker.
We feel like we made the right choice and it works well that she can manage guns both if the situation warrants.
Look forward to the update. Thank you Chris
I feel like the 380 EZ and LCP Max put 380 auto on the map again. Really glad to see another big player get in on the 380 game
I feel like .380 never went away, the market never stopped making .380 ACP guns the way that they stopped making .25 ACP guns and .32 ACP guns.
Love my LCP max. Literally the most firepower you can get in a pocket pistol.
Lcp Max is my pick as well. Recoil isn’t an issue. I never had a failure. Kinda wish they made it in .32 but the 380 is fine

What grain weight have you found to be the most successful?

@@jamesbott3788 wtf?
Awesome to see you here. Along with this guy here, you've been a great help!
I, too, would enjoy a long term review
@@stevenbartoszewski1654 Just chiming in to back you up about Vedder, they do a great job.
I would definitely like to see a follow-up, long term review of this weapon. I was a bit dismayed to see how easily a bad grip could invoke feed failures. Would be nice to see how reliable this pistol is over one or two thousand rounds and a variety of carry scenarios.
I've shot both the Glock 42 and Sig 365-380 extensively but still come back to my Sig P238. Great accuracy and, in my opinion, less snappy.
i have the sig p365 in 380, this gun is excellent, absolutely no no no issues, purchased april 2024 new....it fires all loads with no issues......i. have fired 1000 rounds so far.....i installed the manual safety with no issues and i added the wilson grip, the magazine release button was impossible for me to install, so my friend installed it for me....l ....go figure, lol...i also bought the Ruger 380 easy rack security, for $300.00 dollars, this is a fantastic pistol, so i bought a 9mm security 9 for the same price, both guns are fantastic and at a great price.....however i had to return the security 9 because of light primer strikes, 4 days later Ruger returned the weapon to me fixed, great service, not like S&W who takes forever to do anything...
Please do the long-term review, Chris. By the way, I attended John Hearne's lecture and Cognitive Pistol class in Chicago based on your rec. They were both outstanding--thanks to you both!
Need a .380 Hydra-shok Deep gel test
Based
Yeah, it's on our list for the next batch of gel testing. Not sure when that'll be, though
(Heck, I own a Performance Center Version, and it's my Concealed Carry Gun!)
Good to See some Competition in the 380 market with this Handgun!

I really wish there were more 380 options. Honestly with the best 380 ammo shooting faster and with less recoil is a factor that most don't consider.
.380 has been my "go-to" for quite sometime now.

I would love to hear a long term review on this pistol. Great content
Longer term review? YES

3. Yes I’ve known about clipping nails post shower since I was a kid.
Thank you so much for this review it is exactly what I was looking for, keep up the good work we would love to see a long-term review
Yeah man, if it ran better, I would gladly trade 9mm ballistics for 380 speed and shot placement.

The open top design of the Beretta 80s series will never be outdone. This niche has a winner.
Sig relentlessly advertises all the advantages of their modular pistols and how versatile it makes them, just to refuse to even sell the parts you need to convert them so you have to buy multiple guns anyway
Just bought a P365-380 today, after my LCP Max got out of sync at the sear and hammer interface while at the range. Make the long-term review please!
Chris…great to see you. Haven’t seen you in awhile. Our Ammo King is back, may he be blessed with many future uploads and continued success 🙇🏼

The nails tip - priceless.
Another doubt about 380 in general - ammo availability, vs the ubiquitous 9mm.
Thanks again for a great review!
Big fan!!
An X-Micro would be cool too. A rare 17+1 .380 pistol
If I remember correctly the p365xL frame is compatable with the p365(9mm) slide and this video said the p365(380) slidd is compatible with the p365(9mm) frame therefore wouldn't the p365(380) slide be compatible with the p365xL frame?
@@calebjones9941 Yeah, he put a wilson combat frame(9mm) on the 380 slide and it works, would have to use the 12 round mags I believe.
If you had to give back the P365 .380 or the G42 which would it be?
I would love to see you do further testing of the Sig P365-380 to see if it is eventually a reliable carry gun. I agree how important being able to shoot easily is under pressure. I worry about the issues that you mentioned. It would be great to see some review of the Ruger Max LCP 380 too for a potential carry. I know you said it is a pocket pistol and that means it really is in a different class, but your evaluation would be highly appreciated since you have done videos previously on Pocket pistols. Thank you for your excellent videos. I learn so much from them.
Lmao. I already knew the tip of the day. I was literally clipping my nails after taking a shower while watching this video 😂😂

Me, too !
Personally, I love the LCP MAX. I find it significantly easier to shoot than the LCP II. Also the sights are great.
Absolutely. Very easy gun to shoot well.
LCP MAX is my every day carry gun now. I love it!
Always interested in the Sig 365 series 9mm & 380, so yes, do a follow up video.
Thanks! I wasn't aware of the potential cycling issues.
I’m not ready to give up on Glock…but DAMN ! I still run my 26 and love my 19x/45 but , but but, sig seems to be killing it.
Thanks for the advice about clipping nails. I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong until now.

Interesting comments on the Sig Sauer P365 380, thanks.
This is the first I’ve heard of the ‘limp wrist’ causing .380 to not cycle correctly. I totally appreciate that info. I will see if a better gorilla grip helps!!! Thanks again!!
Great video and thanks for sharing your experience with the battery operated sight. If I purchase a P365, I'll get it without the the optics.
Great review Chris. Yes please to long term review. I admire the LCP 380 max but when i rent it, i can't hit a thing. So i'm considering the new 380 for the exact positive reasons you've touched on.
The trigger on the LCP Max feels flimsy to me
Hi Chris. I appreciate your fair and thorough review. I’m tempted to buy this for my wife for EDC, but I am concerned about the failures you and others have experienced. I would love to know how you feel about it now after you’ve had the chance to break it in a little more. Thank you.
I got my .380 p365 with the dot for $615, which was awesome. I love it.
Would definitely enjoy a long-term review.
Same here, please. I value your opinion and knowledge.
Sig does sell its CAL-X KIT, P365-380, 3.1", BLACK Price $399.99
As a way to covert your 9mm 365 to .380
Thanks for the heads up, I did not even see that.
Did wish it came with 2 mags, but its nice you get it straight to the door and not have to do another 4473
For that money, I'd rather have an LCP MAX. Then I'd have two guns.
Definitely do longer-term review!!
A very good and well-balanced review. I don't see enough here to consider switching from the Sig P238 (with the extended magazines) which has been rock solid for me.
Long term review please.
I purchased both. The 380 is smooth and the XL with a larger slide and barrel just makes sense with a 9mm.
It seems like its a little over sprung. A lighter spring would problem fix the cycling issues. Cool gun. Thanks for the video.
