- In 1998 Spielberg hired Crichton to write the Jurassic Park 3 script and Dino Crisis came out. That game and the Giganotosaurus sequel would help build upon the dinosaur craze at the time. With dinos bigger than the T.rex such as the Spino getting more attention and the end of The Lost World with the mainland stuff teased for future projects. Unfortunately the ideas for raptors and other creatures loose in the city were abandoned in both JP3 and Dino Crisis 3 and even hybrid monsters teased for JP4.

I remember playing Dino Crisis 1 and 2, those games truly had the JP vibes where it had horror and suspense with the Dinosaurs. Unfortunately, Dino Crisis 3 wasn't that good. JWD even tried to imitate most scenes from Dino Crisis 1 and 2.
Dino Crisis needs a reboot.
Great video of the Jurassic Park and Dino Crisis sequels never getting made and it would be really awesome if these sequels would happen so we could see how awesome and terrifying they could be in my opinion especially the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures in both Jurassic Park and Dino Crisis to see how different they would be with dinosaurs.

It's still a bit weird to me how family friendly Universal is kind of forcing the franchise to be. The original books themselves were quite brutal, and even the movies had some pretty brutal deaths like Eddie, Udesky, Eli Mills, and like half the deaths in Jurassic World.
Yet they seem to insist on TV series to be family friendly and they seem to refuse to make video games where players need to kill the dinosaurs. I mean, Camp Cretaceous is pretty good for what it is, I think, and I do love park builders, but I want at least a serious TV-14 live action show and a serious T rated action/survival/horror game.
I wouldn’t exactly say they were as family friendly as Camp Craptaceous, but I would gladly take the World Trilogy (especially Dominion) over any of The Land Before Time sequels. Which is also a Universal owned franchise about dinosaurs.
The idea for JP3 I really liked was Grant hiding out on Sorna to study the dinosaurs. Contrary to what Joe Johnston thought, I think it makes perfect sense for someone who's whole life has been about dinosaurs to want to get a better handle on how they behave.
I always thought that would make sense as a spin-off media plot or something. I cant imagine a world where they have these species and just leaving them there. Either private of InGen funded groups would have camouflaged hovels there studying these creatures that have never been seen by man before.
It remind me to the Dr. Levine character of The Lost World novel, maybe that idea was based on him
Maybe they should come up with a CGI movie for Dino Crisis using the city attack concept. Wouldn't use a huge license like JP, and Resident Evil has done movies like that before too.
Just bought a copy of Dino Crisis 1 the other day from my ps1, and i can say without a shadow of a doubt that it is undoubtedly terrifying. The charm of old PlayStation and xbox horror games is so unique, the graphics are so outdated, but the unexpected jumpscares, atmosphere, anxiety-enducing soundtrack and lack of ammo made it scarier than anything I've played in recent years.
The beginning screen stating the game had gore, with a dim light over a bloody stain, made me feel a sense of dread I've felt in no other games. Would love a remake!

I love the Jurassic franchise and I have been interested in the dino crisis games and it would has been interesting to seen those concepts from the dino crisis games went into jp3 with the spinosaurus and dominion with the giganotosaurus.

One series that I think Jurassic could actually take some cues from is Lost Tapes. It was a found footage series by Animal Planet that showed encounters with creatures from folklore like the Owl Man, Chupacabra, and Sasquatch.

I agree, those stories with the games would of been fantastic. It's just a shame. Since Capcom announced more remakes for the Resident Evil Franchise. Fingers crossed for a Dino Crisis remake. It was a few years back Capcom said on Twitter that if fans want one all they have to do is ask.
I hope it's on the list. I've seen a lot of people say a Dino Crisis remake would be good, and they are going to do more RE remakes, so people will continue to say "Do Dino Crisis too" for a few more years. Hopefully enough to have them justify making it.

I really want to see a movie with dinosaurs causing chaos on the mainland. It was really disappointing that didn’t happen in Dominion.
Colin trevorrow did said in an interview that he did not want dinosaurs to attack cities because that will be too similar to the recent planet of the apes and Godzilla movies besides I think that I'd rather wants the dinosaurs betrayed as animals not monsters
The bug plot was so lame. It should have been about the dinosaurs and how they're a possible threat to the ecosystem since they're pretty much have become invasive due to the habitats having changed.
There should have been conflicts with humans and with modern animals. They don't have to be rampaging and destroying cities like Godzilla. Some conflicts for example is dinosaurs competing with modern animals for resources, dinosaurs preying on a farmer's livestock, or people accidentally disturbing a dinosaur and getting hurt as the result.
It would play more into the plot about how cloning dinosaurs was a bad idea that was a factor through out the series.

@@animezilla4486Maybe not cities, but it would be cool to see dinosaurs hunting people in suburban areas. Imagine someone going to start their car at night, only to turn and see a Velociraptor eating their neighbour's dog about 50 feet away. That would be cool to see.

I do wonder 💭 what a modern updated version of Dino Crisis would be like, maybe someone like the Jurassic Park Operations fan game maker could take a stab at it, because it would be an interesting 🧐 idea and a fun undertaking since the game developers don’t seem to listen to the fan base about the type of games the fans actually want, then feel threatened when fans make fan games that are actually better and more popular than the official games

JWD was basically wasted potential in movie form.
Capcom has stated that they are remaking more games, and I truly hope the first 2 Dino Crisis games are among them.

Technically we had a Dino Crisis sequel called Dino Stalker aka Gun Survivor 3: Dino Crisis (RE Survivor was Gun Survivor 1 and there was a Code Veronica: Gun Survivor 2) which was a rail shooter that took place in the Dino Crisis Universe with your chatacter being a WW2 pilot that got transported to Modern Era.
Your opening words really made me think. That original idea they had for JP3 is essentially what we have led towards in the Jurassic World era of Movies. 🤔👍

Big fan of your channel! I love Jurassic park, dino crisis and resident evil. I played dc2 when it came out I remember having my first playstation and I was around 12 years old, and I'm still waiting for that real sequel in which Regina keeps her promise and rescues both Dylan and Paula. I don't know, hopefully one day Capcom will make that real sequel, since Dino Stalker didn't meet expectations. Been waiting for a mainland Dino attack jurassic since I saw the lost world as a kid.
In my opinion, both ‘Jurassic Park 3’ and ‘Dino Crisis 3’ should have been delayed. They could have been delayed to mid-2000s, since the trauma of 09/11/2001 would be very strong. ‘Fallen Kingdom’ would’ve been better received of the ‘Lockwood’ child being older, and the result of parthenogenesis, not the cloning process used to create the dinosaurs.
I would really love a new Dino crisis game because that would be really awesome and badass in my opinion.

Ok I tried to write the whole thing but I clicked out of UA-cam, and I lost the entire thing I was writing so here’s the short very version of it.
After DC2, she lands back, but not at the military base she was at prior. She ends up at a subway station, all ruined, she travels a bit, ends up in the surface where it’s revealed to at not only are dinosaurs of all kinds loosed in a city, but other prehistoric creatures too. She also realizes that she’s not back in 2010, but 30 years into the future, she doesn’t recognize any of the technology that is present, and after a while of wonder she finds a survivor base, mainly made up of civilians, but also some surviving law enforcement, and they were one of 6 still active, but they lost contact with the other 5 baes 7 months prior.
I’m gonna be honest I tried to write down the whole thing, but since UA-cam kicked me out I really wasn’t in the mood to do that again
This is why i always tell people to read Carnosaur if they want stories with this type of setting.

Wrestling, the Bible, and Jurassic? That's perhaps one Hell of an idea on where to take the franchise. God looks down and sees those dinosaurs he got rid a long time ago are back and has to suplex them all back to extinction. I'd watch it.
I want a modern remake of the Dino crisis franchise. I want to play them. Capcom make it happen. Your remakes are making you money. Capitalize on it.
I find nonsensical the changes on the plans for Dino Crisis 3. It was a sci-fi horror story with dinosaurs, it's really too forced to conect it with S-11.
Hmmmm, fighters, dinosaurs, & gods……you should definitely do a video sometime soon if the 90’s fighting game Primal Rage since that game and it’s sequel are about god like dinosaurs and large yetis fighting in a post-apocalyptic prehistoric Urth. Along with Jurassic Park, Primal Rage is also one of my favorite dinosaur based media due to the awesome looking creatures and the fact that they created done using stop motion animation. My personal favorite character from the series is the God Of Hunger: Sauron.

I remember this very sensitive timeframe. The Zoolander movie was condemned initially because of the gas station explosion scene…which is undoubtedly my fav scene of the movie 😂.

I just started replaying dino crisis 2 it was my favorite game as a kid.
I could be worn and it’s incredibly unlikely , but I think the Jurassic franchise could lean into these ideas by having softly rebooting the Dino crisis games ( like the current RE remakes) or having a dino crisis crossover that continues the events after dino crisis 2.
Also didn’t the idea of pteranodons killing tourists end up being a comic series after jp 3?

It's funny to me that, before 911, everyone was fine with city destruction, like in Independence Day that make the destruction funny and epic looking, and then it happens in real life and everybody regrets about even having a GI JOE for toy for their sons
If I had to take a random guess, I think the "dinosaurs time-displaced in the modern day city" concept was instead reworked and reused for Onimusha 3, except with feudal Japanese demons instead of dinos.
Technically, the Crisis spin off Dino Stalker, did have sections in a city.
Too bad they didn't stick closer to the Crichton material... So much unused goodness, from action scenes to philosophy.

It’s strange isn’t it? After the popularity of the Resident Evil 2 remake, and capcom saying they wanted to give the same treatment to other old IP’s. It honestly felt like it was definitely going to happen. Especially at every capcom online event, and all the comments are just “Dino Crisis”

If they remade dino crisis the same way they did the resident evils or how EA did with dead space thayd be prettt damn cool. I always wanted to play dino crisis the copy i rented from blockbusters when i was a kid which was dino crisis 2 i think, was a bugged copy or just simply wouldnt play past the intro.

1.) Jurassic Park (1993; first movie)
2.) Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World (1997 movie)
3.) Jurassic Park 3 (2001 movie)
4.) And Jurassic World (2015 movie)
Well, except "Fallen Kingdom" and "Dominion". (Because those last 2 movies ruined the franchise on purposed.)
Dino Crisis was the best game way better then resident evil of the times. Way ahead of their time
im not a fan of a dino vs humans movie, for those we have godzilla, king kong and others
even when a t-rex vs an entire army base sounds like a good idea, you have a 5 or 10 minute long action scene,
i dont know what stuff is on army bases but one shot from a tank should hurt the t-rex enought that it would run off,
there is nothing like the jurassic franchise
imo people fighting dinosaurs in cities sounds hokey as hell, glad they never did that.
