I have watched from the beginning and I can’t believe how much the kids have grown. You have done something I wish we had done this with our property in building from a container to a home great work.
Am amazed by how far they have come. I have watched them since they started there first video together... Its really transformative and inspiring to me . I love u guys.
People who call you a spectator Kenz have obviously not watched back when you were building the house. I remember the hard work you did including holding up sheets of drywall while putting up the ceiling. You also managed to have 2 children, being a wife and mother is the most important job in the world. People have no idea how much work it takes to film and edit these videos for our enjoyment. I know other tubers who respect your abilities and endeavour to produce the same standard. Love you guys, cabin is coming along nicely 👍

I want to make a comment .....Mckenzie, you may not be able to do the work of your husband but let's all remember what he is doing this for. YOU! You should move the container now to its final destination before you do walls, or they will probably crack with the motion the container will experience during relocation.
Same thoughts here. When they load that container at a 45 degree angle, it's going to have some flex to it. It might be best to move it to it's final resting position now rather than later. I'm even kind of worried about the windows remaining intact during the move. Hope the move goes well whenever you do decide to do it.
Of course, you are correct if they use drywall, but they could use other materials besides drywall to build the interior walls such as cedar planks. That would create more of a cabin feel that could be very nice.
I can't believe how big the kids have gotten seems like yesterday that I found your channel before kids and the beginning of your journey. Congrats and thank you for sharing.
What a family, they are all perfect. Your daughter takes after her mother, lovely smile, her humour and she has lovely hair, just like her mother. Spencer is such a loving, caring person and wants what is best for the family. I wouldn't say cheerleader, I would say model. Love from Mike. ❤
Awesome mom, wife, keeper of the home, cheerleader. I honestly don't know why any woman would take offense to that. That was my mother. She was proud of it. Why is that disparaging. Why is that something to be ashamed of.
Her laugh alone made us all fall in love with her. That's all she needs to offer for my part. But then she adds her jokes! You guys rock my world. Thank you for being you!
Nothing at all, I think she was more referring to the Feminist movement, modern woman who uld be offended because ALOT of work has been done to give woman an outlook that's not just mother and homemaker, meaning woman have more to offer, and when I say more to offer, woman still proudly maintains all those old view tasks however we want to be known for more than those old view tasks. I am so grateful that the 2 of you were brave enough to take this leap while sharing it with the world! I look forward to each new episode every week. I’ve gutted, rehabbed, renovated and done new builds on a couple of homes and several housing projects. I could go on and on with how skilled you’ve both become and how dedicated, determined, and sweet you both are. Your educating is entertaining and engaging. Yet I want to compliment you the most on your editing skills!Your style has matured and is beautiful to view! You’re the modern day Waltons. Remember, sweetie, behind every good man is an exceptional good woman. Don't worry what others say you are the glue to your family, and the 2 of you seem to be great together. I wish the 2 of you the best the world and the Heavenly father has to give you. Yall are a beautiful family
Hello 🤗 going to be a nice cabin- like washer/dryer combo in kitchen . Love the humor & banter between you both ❤ Beau & Cam are so cute 🥰 thanks for sharing & have a great week 🙏🇺🇲💖
In addition to all of the love that you give your children, the other very important thing that you are providing them is the lesson of self-reliance and how you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. And that though there will be disappointments, challenges and setbacks, as long as you stick with it you will overcome. That, along with the love that you give them, will be the greatest gift that you can bestow on to them. And I always love watching your playful banter with each other.
HAPPY HUGGER - People regularly move tiny houses on roads by towing them behind a vehicle. Many of those tiny houses have plaster board and all have windows. I have yet to view a video where the walls or windows have cracked or broken. It would seem the stresses from being towed for hundreds of miles would equal or even exceed the stresses of the container cabin being moved, unless there is a problem that severely torques the cabin.
We installed a 12v Furrion tankless water heater in our RV and LOVE IT!! I know it’s tempting when you have it to use more water than you should off grid, but then you don’t have to use power/gas to keep the water hot all the time you’re not using it.
Seeing the electric lawnmower brings back a lot of memories. I cut grass with one for close to twenty years we were the only family that used one in our neighborhood so the kids would make my life hell on those day’s making jokes. But it never broke down and as a family of all women my grandmother went for something easy and light weight. Love the plans you have for the new build it is looking amazing. Love the windows and have always wanted one like the kitchen window. I bet you could put a 3 rd bunk bed in that room if you wanted to. Looking forward to the rest of the build. Susan
So is where on your property you're moving the cabin to, a secret? Are you thinking of using the cabin as more than your space or visiting family space? Like an vacational rental space? Love watching your videos. A sweet family. Happy Birthday 🎈🎉🥳🎁🎂🍰🎶🎵

At the end I felt like I had done very little UNTIL I had to build a huge catio on my own and just having a person come support me (aka hand me screws) made the process seem so much easier... and 10x more appreciative of men who can work with their hands.
Seems like a very nice traditional American Family. I tip my hat to your sense of adventure, your courage and your willingness to work to achieve your goals !
Loved your sweet daughter looking over daddy’s shoulder , it remind of our girls with heir daddy….even now in their 40’s they love being with their daddy. It makes my heart full of joy.
Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. ❤ You both will be able to write a book when you are done! You have gained so much knowledge. I love what another person said about some cute tiles behind the fire! I know it will be so chic when you are done! You are brave to live where there are venomous snakes! I absolutely HATE snakes and can not live anywhere where there are snakes. Y'all be safe.
You guys are so cool, In parts of Australia you cannot do what you do. One would think your use of material such as this would be embraced with open arms. Good on you. We love what you are doing
Does anyone realize, you've gained experience if you are tempted to do a container build? This is incredibly valuable and you get this family showing you the good and bad. 🙋🎂
Speaking of where did she get that from? Your daughter sounded just like you when she ran behind Spencer and stopped in front of the wood stove and laughed. That was definitely a Kenzie laugh. Please go watch it!
Loved following your journey across the country living in the little trailer while you built. The Texas home it was very smart of you two to let UA-cam pay for it all. By making engaging videos which is all you guys I mean people can’t not root for the two of you
I look forward to your videos every week!!! The stove is great. A smaller version of what I grew up with 👍❤. Beau 💗 and Cam 💙 are AWESOME!!! Love how Beau always tells Daddy to be safe and careful ❤. Could you please do an overhead Drone Shot because I just can't get perspective of where your Cabin is placed and Your new Tractor Shelter. I'm So Direction Limited 😂!!! Great Job 👍 Kenna and Spencer 💕. You Two Make A Great Team 💕🙌!!! Western Upstate New York here 💐
You have two gorgeous kids!!I gave been following you eversince and I afore your family and have seen your family grow! Wow, i love to see how your kids are growing up and you are training them to blend with nature and pretty much they are adjusting and enjoying your lives off the grid!! They are very well adjusted in the life you have for them.
If you want to have the stove close to the wall here is some info that may help - A combustible floor must be protected by a non-combustible material (like tile, concrete board, or certified to UL-1618 or as defined by local codes) extending beneath the heater and a minimum of 6" from each side and minimum 16" from the front face of the stove and minimum 6" (or the rear clearance to combustibles whichever is smaller) from the rear of the stove.
I'm wondering if you guys considered running the wood stove pipe through the wall? It keeps the clean out on the outside so it's less messy and you don't have to cut a hole in a perfectly good roof.
An inside pipe would put more heat on the inside plus the stove would exhast more efficiently with a straight pipe having no curves or direction changes.
Ha, exactly what I was thinking, plus I’ve seen lots of off-grid peeps doing this both ways, and it always seemed like through the wall was the better option. But, that’s just my opinion. lol 🤷🏻♀️
Insurance won’t let that type of stove have a bend to go outside the wall it must go straight up and out , the WET certified stoves inspected after installation for house insurance, it’s also a safety hazard as too many chimney fires happened
@@hoppiness1 - Ariel of the Fy Nyth channel had to exhaust her wood stove through the side because it was added a year or so after her tiny house was built (6-7 years ago). The stove was given to her brother last fall as he was building his cabin, so the stove pipe goes through the ceiling. Two big take aways: 1) Ariel had to clean the entire stove pipe several times during the winter (every month, I think) and her brother did not have to clean it until the late spring. There was more creosote each time Ariel cleaned the pipe than was in the stove pipe for the one cleaning her brother has done. 2) The stove produces more heat in the brother's cabin and a full load of wood 2-3 hours longer than when the stove was in Ariel's tiny house.
Your ending shot of Bo and daddy is so precious - that shot should be made into a picture to frame and hang in your home. P.S. Get some of those heavy duty sliders to temporarily put under the legs of the stove - you'll be able to push/move it with 1 hand!
The children are gorgeous so cute. They’re lovely to see. They are fun to listen to. They have grown so fast they’re beautiful children. Great job mom! Hard-working dad, beautiful children.
I love to Kenzie chuckle and flirt with Spencer.. it reminds me of my late husband and me at that age .. our two boys were about the age the children are..it takes me back a long ways.. my boys are 62 1/2 and nearly 61… the grow up sooo fast.. enjoy their childhood while you can❤❤
Thank you for sharing your life,Your Beautiful Family and all of your projects. May God watch over you and everything you do. Is this cabin for your family? Or also for some of your favorite Patreon Friends? Whatever you do I know that it will be awesome 👏. Have a great week and hope to see you next Saturday. Tons of love and respect, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊❗️
Hi Spencer I can’t believe she pulled the wife card on you. 😂😂😂 in the living space area you can put a twin Murphy bed transforms in to a couch. You can get it on line by looking up transforming furniture. This furniture was made for the tiny apartments in the big city’s .
Give the gal a swing ! All women will be happy with a swing …. Love the build ! Have to laugh at the wood stove for the cold days in Texas :) …. Western Canada here !
Speaking as a former Chimney Sweep who has installed plenty of wood stoves. You are correct about the stove being overkill. Actually, even on the lowest setting, the entire cabin may be unbearably hot. A stove tailored toward an RV may be a better option. Great Videos. I look forward to them each and every week.
I love your videos. Basically the only UA-cam I still watch after all these years. Still just as good as it was if not better. Happy you guys get to buy your dream land and are taking us along for the ride. Blessings
Greatest family and smartest couple ever they have impressed me since the beginning over 5 years ago with first home the day they arrived with there loaded car on their a Texas property ❤❤❤
Kenzie...cheerleader is just one of many ways you contribute...Spencer is a very lucky man. You have a wonderful family. Beau and Cam are growing up so fast. ☺️
@Daniel Smart absolutely nothing wrong with being your husbands (or wifes) cheerleader. It does matter to be supportive, encouraging & congratulatory towards your spouse. It breeds thankfulness for your wife and the willingness to continue to do hard things for your wife. Especially if she doesn't have the same skill set to do the hard things such as build a home. For the life of me I still don't understand why men aren't allowed to recieve praise from their wives and wives are looked down upon for being an amazing support system(cheerleader) for their husbands.
"A real sparkle camera"? 😂😂😂 this was too funny. Just found your channel and love this build. Great exterior color; calming. I'm a fulltime welder and shall say those are some great cuts of plate he did...lots of pride in his work 🔥🍻
The wood burner will force you to keep windows open. Much too big for the space. We have the smallest that Buck Stove makes and when we use it in a 1280 sq ft space the temp goes up to over 80 and we have to open windows to get the temp to 74. It's wonderful to have it and it's a blessing in the winter when the outside temp is single digits when the electricity goes out. We live in northwestern, NC. You folks are a blast keep up the excellent work, Your place is loverly
Spencer and Kensie, you two make absolutely beautiful children! I’ve been watching since the beginning and you bring laughter and joy to me and many more ever time you post a video. Take care, stay safe.
🎉Happy Belated birthday Spence!!🎉 Princess Beau, & Prince Cam are growing so fast!! ❤❤ I believe one of my favorite parts of you guys vlogs are the kiddos interest in all that Big Daddy O is doing! 😉
A lovely long video, was much appreciated. Have followed almost from day one and it’s been a pleasure watching your progress. This is something l wished l could have done 50 years ago.
Clad the wall around the wood stove in sheet metal. It'll reflect heat and will increase efficiency. Mount a small oscillating fan above and you're done.Doubt electrical will be needed for heat in your climate. Ever. Other than that, you guys rock and I'm getting a kick out of watching you two smartasses kick ass. Love the teamwork.
Kenzie you are so much more than a cheerleader. You are a beautiful person raising beautiful people. Your family life is a work of art.
There is nothing wrong with being a cheerleader. A husband and wife should be able to give moral support to each other, i.e., a cheerleader.
You're not a cheerleader...you're THE cheerleader! You're right there with Spencer, helping and doing as much as you can. Y'all have done a lot together and some couples might not gave made it but y'all have.
Happy Birthday Spencer. The cabin is turning out great and Beau looks so pretty in her Princess outfit.
I have watched from the beginning and I can’t believe how much the kids have grown. You have done something I wish we had done this with our property in building from a container to a home great work.
Same here, been watching since the beginning. The kidos are getting big fast. ❤
Yeah they weren’t even there in the beginning.
Their's is a great story to have followed from "once upon a time"! Been here since then, too! Such a beautiful family!
Am amazed by how far they have come. I have watched them since they started there first video together...
Its really transformative and inspiring to me . I love u guys.
I, too, have watched from the beginning. A beautiful presentation of living on the grid!
I swear out of all the millions of channels on UA-cam, This is hands down the best one. Love it, Keep doing what you're doing.
it and a few others. but the times isn't enough

You should move the container now to its final destination before you do walls, or they will probably crack with the motion the container will experience during relocation.
Exactly. That would be a major rooky error. They didn't move the other one, after they put the walls up.
Or anything worse like Windows or plumbing . I second that notion Jorge !
Same thoughts here. When they load that container at a 45 degree angle, it's going to have some flex to it. It might be best to move it to it's final resting position now rather than later.
Two big take aways:
1) Ariel had to clean the entire stove pipe several times during the winter (every month, I think) and her brother did not have to clean it until the late spring. There was more creosote each time Ariel cleaned the pipe than was in the stove pipe for the one cleaning her brother has done.
2) The stove produces more heat in the brother's cabin and a full load of wood 2-3 hours longer than when the stove was in Ariel's tiny house.
You make our hearts sing that you are such a sweet, hard working amazing family. Hope all your dreams realized and life is good for all of you.
Love watching y’all’s little family. Thanks for a nice long video this time…made my day!
Great lawn mowing timelapse, very satisfying
Your ending shot of Bo and daddy is so precious - that shot should be made into a picture to frame and hang in your home. P.S. Get some of those heavy duty sliders to temporarily put under the legs of the stove - you'll be able to push/move it with 1 hand!
The children are gorgeous so cute. They’re lovely to see. They are fun to listen to. They have grown so fast they’re beautiful children. Great job mom! Hard-working dad, beautiful children.
Wow this smaller cabin is really turning out to be something cool and unique !!!
Loved these glimpses into your beautiful children...
So great to watch your family!! Thank you for sharing!

Tons of love and respect, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊❗️
Happy Birthday, Spencer! That little princess of yours was so sweet leaning onto you at the end❣️
I’m glad I waited to comment. I really thought you were installing that stove. I’ve watched every episode since you began… love it..
Hi Spencer I can’t believe she pulled the wife card on you. 😂😂😂 in the living space area you can put a twin Murphy bed transforms in to a couch. You can get it on line by looking up transforming furniture. This furniture was made for the tiny apartments in the big city’s .
Seeing babies are sure growing I remember when they couldn't talk now look at them they're so cool and precious😊
You guys are so darn cute together. I love watching your playfulness.
Hello Lynda ,how are you doing and how is the weather conditions over there
Give the gal a swing !
Exactly what I thought -- wouldn't they be better with much smaller stove with some kind of pellet feeder or something?
Not overkill!!! NOPE!!! Did you see when they were freezing one time??? It's never overkill. It's always good to have as emergency.

I would be against pellet stove because it requires electrical. NO-NO!!!
Being told that you are a great mother, wife, cook and housekeeper is high praise for hard jobs.
You guys have done so much and come so far. I'm so proud of you and your family.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
I love the dramatic music and filming of the steel box. You are talented and hilarious

Nice comment Linda ,how are you doing today
I love your videos. Basically the only UA-cam I still watch after all these years. Still just as good as it was if not better. Happy you guys get to buy your dream land and are taking us along for the ride. Blessings
You might want to install gutter tops . Cabin will look great! Great idea for a screened in porch.
He’s doing all the work champ!
I'm a fulltime welder and shall say those are some great cuts of plate he did...lots of pride in his work 🔥🍻
I would like to see the next build! Maybe McKenzie gets her own (get away time) she Shed? Or maybe a hot tub, and a sauna?
This old man enjoys your videos so much. Those kiddos are growing as fast as my younger grandkids. Love it!
Been with you fro. The day you started settling the footers. Y,all have become the all AMERICAN family , "TEXAS style" ❤ you guys are great....
Spencer and Kensie, you two make absolutely beautiful children! I’ve been watching since the beginning and you bring laughter and joy to me and many more ever time you post a video. Take care, stay safe.
🎉Happy Belated birthday Spence!!🎉
Princess Beau, & Prince Cam are growing so fast!! ❤❤
I believe one of my favorite parts of you guys vlogs are the kiddos interest in all that Big Daddy O is doing! 😉
Beautiful family!!! ❤The kiddos are growing so fast and Bo is hilarious 😂 Happy Birthday Spencer! 🥳 🎉
Hello Rosanna ,I liked your comment ,how are you doing and how is the weather conditions over there
Truly blessed. Have a great life. Easy and slow paced. Enjoy watching you. Thank you for the years.
Happy birthday 🎂 Spencer. Bo is so funny ! Lawn look good again .😊
Hello Kathy , how are you doing today
A lovely long video, was much appreciated. Have followed almost from day one and it’s been a pleasure watching your progress. This is something l wished l could have done 50 years ago.
Happy birthday Spencer !!!!
