Nice video. I too am fairly new to crypto. Kept saying no to gpu and cpu mining but here I am waiting on my AAAWave Sluice 12gpu frame to come in. I've got a hodge podge of amd and nvidia cards to put in but I am working towards 1 12 gpu each rig amd and 1 nvidia.
Thanks for a great beginners tutorial. Just buying the hardware to build my first one now. I do have a questions though. How do you set up multiple GPUs? I apoligize if that's a dumb question.
It is not a dumb question. You can add more than one gpu to a motherboard by using gpu risers. The gpu risers that I really like are on gpurisers.com. Great question.
Dear OC, enjoyed very much from your video. 1. I wish you would explain more about the SW and drivers installation, it seems you have logged to navida - where did you find the zip files etc. 2. I guess for each GTX card, like MSI - you will need to go to MSI site. 3. Do you think you can connect the GTX card power to external 12V (not to "regular" power supply - but like output of solar system (battery charge controller))? 4. What needed to be installed for Bitcoin mining? many thanks!!
Thank you for the kind words. I will try to help you as much as I can. (1) I downloadedthe Nvidia GeForce Driver app that can be located here to update the drivers of my GPUs: www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/ (2) Please see (1). (3) I am unsure about this as I use EVGA Power Supplies to power my GPU rigs. (4) I do not mine Bitcoin nor do I have Bitcoin miners so I would have to direct you to someone else to answer this question.
I used the computer I created in the video to set up almost everything. I did have another computer that I downloaded a file from microsoft to create a bootable windows usb.
@@ocminer by any chance, do you know a website where I can check compatible power supply, cpu, gpu and everything else on a H370 mining master? Or do you want to make a tutorial set up on a 20 GPU slot mother board? And I promise to like and watch that video as well. Lol Thankyou your videos really help.
Great video and I learned a lot currently trying to learn as much as possible before I start building my own
Great job on details 👍
Thank you for the kind words
Thanks a lot for the details man👌🏾
Any time! Thank you for watching my video.
Very informative!!!
Thank you!
I am building a new rig but was thinking to put Linux OS on it as opposed to Windows. Have you tried the Linus OS for mining?

@@ilangsaio601 You are welcome!
I have a question what Computer did you use to set up the mining rig

@@ocminer thank you for telling me. I'm just now getting in to mining bitcoin so I don't know what to use
@@devinSanchez-g9z Please share your journey and what you come up with.
@@ocminer ok I will let you know how I do
Can you recommend any motherboards that can fit more GPUS?
If you are looking for a motherboard that supports up to 20 GPUs, then I would recommend the ASUS H370 Mining Master.
@@ocminer Thankyou

Red Panda Mining made a video about setting up this board. I will look to see if I can find it fit you
What ram did you use?
I used a cheap 8gb ram stick. You only need to use one ram stick for a gpu mining rig.
Thanks
Wouldn’t be making much right? Bc mining is dead?
It’s not making much but I don’t believe mining is dead. I believe this is just a cycle that crypto has gone through before.
How much investment needed for this
It’s a great time to buy equipment so I would say around $300-$400 dollars plus GPUs
