Bob signs the bar tab before management lets em pack out.
That guy walking on stage and grabbing a beer is a god damn American hero.
@@kipperfeast hey be respectful, bob is a rock n roll hero!
@@QerstyBass There is enough heroism to go around Adam, Guided By Voices soul brother! That guy grabbing a beer is a GOD!!
I'm almost positive that guy grabbing the beer is a buddy of mine named Eric, who was the drummer for a band Kites Above Mercury near Dayton where GBV hails from. They were all my friends, and were highly influenced by GBV, and played several of the same venues.
I realize it's kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good site to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Deangelo Cesar Flixportal
Bob nails the vocals
rp's vocals always reminded me of a blend of daltry, lennon and mccartney. a good mix, there
They ended a show at the Abbey Pub in Chicago at 4 AM in the early 2000's. They had just as much energy after 4 hours of drinking and playing as they did at midnight when the show started. I was a young man in good shape and they had much more energy than I.
Call me when The Who covers a GBV song.
Bob-AH O'Reilly!
love their version because you can really hear how amazing of a guitar part that is
the only cover song worth covering the man told me last night. great show guys. 30 more yeas please. 1000 more albums
They cover it extremely well. Especially Bob.
Goddamn Bob. Why do you have to be so badass with that vocal cover?
When I saw them in Tulsa.....Please Be Honest had just come out....they ended the set with this. It was glorious...
Great audio! This is the music that made GBV.
i saw these guys with the strokes opening at missippi nights
OMG. This is great
Holy shit Bob is so fucking drunk, still nails it though
Thanks!! BTW I think this is April 2000, as they performed this song when I saw them in SF in April 2000. Think in 2001 they played California in summer time but not April.
ROCK ON GBV !
This band is Unreal good, I mean seriously! For those that never know, never heard of GBV...what a freakin' shame! #GBVRules
Ween!!!! Is that the succulent sound I here at the beginning?
Good shit. Love GBV
The best cover version of this song ever.
Pollard and Pearl Jam also do a great version
@@jeff7764 I have seen it, you are right!
4:49 epic drum fall
Bob couldn't twirl the mic around? lol
who's on lead guitar here?
Doug Gillard
Lol
What year?
2001
This is an Hymn, And there is only one band in this world that can play and sing this properly : THE WHO
Wrong. You clearly haven't heard this live at a GBV show.
