That clip of Dave immitating his drum made me cackle out loud. This is such a wild idea. Smells like teen spirit was so wild with that much distortion over it. Such a neat idea. Thanks for doing this.
oh god, i was just sitting in class listening to the fecal matter demo tapes and all of a sudden i see this in my recomended, thank you eric, the In Bloom part was godly.
Behringer pedals are usually pretty cheap for a pedal. I think the one in the video is around 25 dollars in the US. Edit: it took me three times to finally get the reply to go through and then all three showed up.
@PhillipGolden-t3o Yeah, Behringer pedals are cheap, however, looking for a specific pedal locally in Estonia is difficult and usually they are way overpriced. Ordering from Riga is so much cheaper and fairer. I think I am prolly going to buy the Sansamp clone and the Superfuzz clone.
Nice to see more of the Fecal Matter tone, it keeps being a really wild and interesting tone for these what if videos! The contrast between the pedal being off for the clean parts and then hearing it completely overwhelm everything is pretty funny, i liked how it handled the power chords on Lithium, and that contrast between clean and fuzz really works for the Drain You bridge. Stay Away also sounds really nasty through this tone, really cool. Endless Nameless fits pretty well for this tone as well, sounds absolutely monstrous.
What about do a Fecal Matter songs with a At The Paramount Live tone. You know to see what it would of sounded like if any of those songs would of lasted and progressed the way that Spank Thru did . I think that would be an awesome idea bro! Great job with this one!
Hey Eric! Big fan of your channel, I’ve never been able to comment on your videos because I’ve been so late, but Idk why but come as you are with the fuzz sounds almost exactly like the original and on live, it’s just like Kurt is using his RAT or DS2 in live and loud or something. Video idea: What if Live And Loud sounded like Fecal Matter?
my first distortion pedal was a Behringer SF300. I got it because of Mudhoney and their album Superfuzz Bigmuff. I knew I wanted a fuzz pedal being into Hendrix and such. I didnt want a Bigmuff because it was a pedal everyone had but in the late 2000s there weren't many options for a Superfuzz clone, I went with what was most similar and affordable at the time as a teen. I had a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar HH because of bands like Sonic Youth and Nirvana. Every Nirvana riff I learned, I played through the Superfuzz pedal and it sounded great with my band. All the other local bands thought the SF300 sounded unique and like Black Sabbath's guitar tone
Have you ever considered recreating Kurt’s Telecaster from the final years of his life? It was fitted with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a Gibson PAF in the neck according to Equipboard. Apparently it was his new favorite practice guitar at the time; I would love to hear how it would’ve sounded.
Breed, Territorial and Stay Away sound so fucking heavy in this tone, and to say endless, nameless is heavy in this tone is an understatement it sounds like it basically became noise rock, which I always appreciate :D
I always thought a raw tone worked really well for a lot of nirvana songs. On a chart this is like finding a cow and just biting into it, or in normal words, really freaking raw
Was not expecting the Dave Grohl cameo in In bloom 😂 Now I have to hear this tone paired with Vandalism and VMA Strat! The Vandalism’s angry 59B humbucker vs the VMA’s obese Hotrail
Note:I had a really bad chest cold at the time of watching this. So I sang all the songs, and I even coughed on several tracks, like Kurt did. The songs I coughed on: #1:In the middle of the solo of In Bloom #2:occasionally on Breed #3:the second chorus of Polly #4:two times on Territorial Pissings #5:only sneezed during the bridge of Drain You #6:one time with a sneeze on Lounge Act #7:once in the first chorus of Stay Away, and punched a pillow in the end of the song #8:twice on Something In The Way, and my voice cracked just two minutes into the song #9:frequently on Endless, Nameless, I also broke something in the end of the song
i have reason to believe the original was directly into the 4track from the fuzz pedal. but i still really like how the recreation tone sounds, reminds me of Rusted Shut (check out their song Hatchet from their album Rehab for example, sounds pretty close to this)
Imagine if that was the main and prescence tone of nevermind, and the boss ds-1 was a much lighter sound for the album, instead of using the big muff using the ds-1 and instead of the ds-1 using the super fuzz/yung-mann fuzz
The thing about the Illiteracy Will Prevail tone is that I don't think a cab was involved at all ... I think it was amp directly into tape recorder with no mic
Can you do a cover of About a Girl from a 1994 In Utero tour show?? I absolutely love the tone he gets when he turns the distortion and modulation on for the solo but can’t figure out what kind of modulation he’s using in it!
If Live at Paramount was in Bleach Era
🥳
That would be fun. Do it with the epiphone
So bleach riffs with paramount tone or paramount riffs with bleach tone?
@untakenusernamegoeshere Paramount Riffs with like 1988 tone yeah
dudes about to blow his speakers out 😭
😭
😂😂
That's what superfuzzes sound like lol
Holy shit, i love how unapologetic this tone is
That's why I put the warning in the beginning 😂 it's pretty extreme!
evil all apologies be like
Kurt made the tone sound so horrible, I like it 🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥
Ah yes, my favourite Nirvana album, Fecalmind
neverfecal
Fecal matter with nevermind tone would sound crazy
That clip of Dave immitating his drum made me cackle out loud. This is such a wild idea. Smells like teen spirit was so wild with that much distortion over it. Such a neat idea. Thanks for doing this.
haha glad that made you laugh! This is a pretty "out there" tone that's fun to experiment with!
cah cah cuh cuh-cuh cuh-cuh
@@Helena-gk4ui my mom searching for songs on google
My favorite part 😅
man the transition from the calm part to the part with the distortion of come as you are almost killed me lmao
That's why there's the warning in the beginning 😂
I got an ad then so it didn’t even work 💀
oh god, i was just sitting in class listening to the fecal matter demo tapes and all of a sudden i see this in my recomended, thank you eric, the In Bloom part was godly.
Great timing!
Definitely one of (if not) the most intense tones Kurt ever got, like that fuzz sound straight-up feels like it could just tear your head off
god that tone sounds so natural on breed
Endless Nameless goes Hard AF with that tone!!!! Wow!!! 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘
that dave grohl cameo was peak
Peak cringe maybe

Breed, Territorial P*ss*ngs and Endless Nameless works wery well with that tone
Absolutely agree
Stay away too :)
2:33 calm
2:36 angry
12:44 broken car
12:57 child when no v buck
So.... Just crank the fuzz out for this tone
Sounds great on clean parts
I absolutley love this tone. I wish i had a Behringer Superfuzz clone. I also love that you did Something In The Way also.

Territorial pissing sounds HEAVENLY with that extreme fuzz and distortion
Breed and Territorial Pissings sounds so good with that tone dude!!
everytime i hear you play endless, nameless its just beautiful on every single video
the tone on it is perfect every single time

Kakakukukukuku 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Endless Nameless with Fecal Matter tone is just pure insanity and i love it
I love this
Thank you!
Would have LOVED if Breed actually had this sound on the original album recording. Suits the song perfectly!
the guitar loop on In Bloom was so nasty I love it!
I didn’t expect to like the fecal matter tone with these riffs but this goes hard as hell, good work
kaka kuh googoo googoo. LOL. This is an INSANE TONE!!
it gives such a big amount of distortion that sometimes songs sounds like their 8-bit version with this bit-crash effect
oh my god when you kicked it in on Endless, Nameless I thought I was going to die lmfao
yuhhhh!!!!! glad my internet was renewed for this
Just in time!

Oh my god the trasition from stay away to on a plain was insane
I was hoping someone pointed that, I loved that
Hey Nirvana guitars, this is an awesome tone video, keep doing what your doing👍🏼
This is so freaking cool on so many levels! Well Done!
Breed, Territorial and Stay Away sound so fucking heavy in this tone, and to say endless, nameless is heavy in this tone is an understatement it sounds like it basically became noise rock, which I always appreciate :D
Nice! Always make sure to see the new tone videos when they come out!
Thank you so much! 🙏

Thanks for your patience!
I always thought a raw tone worked really well for a lot of nirvana songs. On a chart this is like finding a cow and just biting into it, or in normal words, really freaking raw
That tone was absolutely deadly! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I hope we get a kurt sg or tiesco explorer soon that would be so sick
breed is so perfect
100%
Went to the bathroom during finals for this one
😂 this made me laugh out loud haha
Stay Away sounds damn good, man
The in bloom solo was still surprisingly reconizible
I love how it sounds for Slts, In Bloom and Endless Nameless
Nice tones! (Happy Friday!)
Ah yes, the noise complaint guitar tone.
Also, holy shit! Endless, Nameless is actually scary for once!

It fits so well with Drain You!
Endless nameless sounds even more insane with the superfuzz
This tone goes really well with Endless, Nameless in my opinion
This is so cool!!
Thank you!
1:25 lmao suddenly Dave is saying it with me lol
Breed and On a Plain with this tone sound like straight up stoner riffs, love it!
I love breed, endless nameless and something in the way i actually wish the studio version of something in the way was like that.
It sounds like sludge rock territorial pissings sound killer this tone
Territorial pissings kinda sounds normal
Endless, Nameless sounds perfect
The tone for Territorial sounded pretty close to the RAT into Neve sound. The wonderful sound of tinnitus is awesome!!
breed sounds really good like this
For whatever reason. I badly have to go to the bathroom upon listening to this video for about 3 minutes.

Coolest channel on yt 👌
well the cleans on come as you are sound good and breed sounds like something you'd find on a 16 bit video game!
you should definitely try do the stain and been a son tones, i’m pretty sure they were recorded in the same studio recording session
I love that guitar
everyone knows that kurt wanted nervemind to sound like that
Endless, Nameless = Kurt's scream
It's strange that breed actually sounds pretty good
At first, thought the title read Nevermind tone on Fecal Matter riffs
That'd be a fun one too!
Unplugged tone would also be fun to try!

that clean tone with chorus during come as you are and the solo was actually better than the studio version by like 1000%
Love that tone! Wondering how it`ll sound in a full mix 🤔
I love how this sounds Its awesome, can you try to replicate the boombox tapes tone?
Boy i do love me some inaudible fuzz
tbh i do like that sound quite a lot
