Thank you so much, that means a lot! That is basically what I was going for, how would you recreate every tone with a single guitar for a live situation
Well I mean, if you must but even in his youth he was great at guitar, so don't give yourself an Anuerysm and play Dumb and don't Milk it, or you'll have to go back to School, so All Apologies for any inconvenience caused. P.S: it might be a bit of a Downer but don't give yourself Paper Cuts over a Beeswax Stain, so Stay Away and don't Turnaround you Son of a Gun! And don't Dive into unknown territory or you'll encounter territorial pissings, you should just stay Endless and Nameless or you'll become a Negative Creep!
Even if the competition wasn't used a whole lot on the album, and not used at all in this configuration, this still sounds wild! I love it. Great job again!
Thank you so much my friend!! I agree that it most likely wasn't used that much on album, it feels like a strat heavy album. But this is the set up/configuration I would use if I were to play the entire album live with a tribute band 😊
Damn man this is freaking awesome, I know that is quite impossible to recreate 100% the Nevermind tones, but you with just one amp, pedals and that mustang (also one of my dreams), made a perfect job, it's what I've always dreamed about, I tried your configuration with amplitube and my regular stratocaster and it sounds fantastic, thank you, as always, your work is amazing ❤
I recently moved from my childhood home were I grew up listening to Nirvana while taking walks to clear my head after full hard days. Eventually I started watching youtube videos on my favorite band and came across your videos recreating Nirvana live tones, guitars ect. It serously inspired me to pick up an old silvertone I inherited from my grandmother, the thing hadn't had it's strings changed since the 70's and sounded exactly like the stella harmony Kurt played. I've been playing guitar for two years now and still rock Nirvana as my number 1 most listened to band. I moved about 1 1/2 years ago and every time I turn one of your videos on it reminds me of the best days of my life, getting into music, talking long walks in my quiet neighborhood listening to Aneursym, In Utero, Nevermind, Bleach and all the above. Truly your channel means lots to me, honestly it's a gateway into my childhood and early teen years as well a memory of my old home and family, thanks for putting out so many amazing video's man, you're truly an inspiration
hey i just got this new 100 dollar keyboard and i chose your video out of the millioons on youtube to test it out for thr first time! awesome content keep it up! b😘😘.
Can you post a wiring guide or video for the mods on your mustang as I would love to add these mods to my personal strat that also features hot rails in tribute to Kurt’s comp stain and vma strat
I'm not trying to be rude with this comment, but I think you should have a squier comp mustang for the nevermind era, and your fender one for the in utero era, also, the in bloom tone sounds really similar to the studio recording, I tried it with my TOM strat (based on your build, thanks for doing that video too) and it sounds awesome!
I absolutely LOVED my Electro-Harmonix Poly Chorus. But I didn't take the "OVERLOAD" indicator seriously...and completely fried the thing. She went out in a blaze of glory. And at $200 I couldn't afford to replace the board so I ended up getting a Small Clone instead. There was something else I wanted to add but can't remember. Oh well, whatever...NeVeRmInD.
This video, for me, was Mind blowing!! You did an awesome job, Everything just sounds absolutely perfect!! But I did want to ask, was there a certain diagram you followed to have the switch for the bridge pick up to go from single coil to full hot rails mode? I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing to my mustang.
Hey @NirvanaGuitars awesome video! I was just wondering where you got that fender decal for the headstock? As far as I'm aware, only left-handed MIJ fenders models head stocks like that.
Great video as always very well made video and covers. I have a question abt the pickups could you share with us where we can find the electrical schematics for the hot rails? im trying to do the same mods and I can't find it anywhere so I can make it split coil
Hey i know i'm late but i have an idea for a new video. Can you try recreating and doing something with Kurt Cobain's blue Fender Telecaster? I don't think he used a Telecaster often.
Hi, I'm sure this isn't the first time that you have been asked, but in your opinion, what would be the closest 'off the shelf' lacquer colour for this mustang? A Custom Burgundy paint job is a bit beyond me. I've already spent £25 on 'Tidepool', and it's not even close. Thanks, Mathew
Nah fam, I can almost guarantee we are not close by, but every song was perfect. If I were to learn guitar I would want it to sound like this, I wish I had a guitarist like you let alone a guitarist in general lol
Love the tones bro! I just have 1 request and a question… 1. Pls do a cover and tone vid for drain you 2. Does the both pickups out of phase function work?
Really nice video and tones as always! As some other users here, I would love to see the wiring scheme to your mustang for the single coil split on the hot rails and maintaining the 'out of phase' switch to the neck pickup. If it's not possible for you to do it, could anyone please help us with this?
All the layering being taken off.
I’ll say you did exactly just that here. Great work.
Thank you so much, that means a lot! That is basically what I was going for, how would you recreate every tone with a single guitar for a live situation
@@NirvanaGuitars Yeah you got it down especially seeing all your other videos.
I’d argue it was a knock out of the park in my view
🤫🧏♂️
You're everywhere. I've seen you comment on Slipknot videos, then Nine Inch Nails, and now Nirvana. What do you not listen to, haha
That's awesome! Very accurate tone. Would the Ds2 pedal work just as good as the ds1. I know kurt used a ds2.
I wonder if there will be something in the way of recreating all the tones. Trying to recreate them all must completely Drain You.
Recreating them is a lot of work. I say stay away. Of course, maybe those constraints will breed some creative solutions.
i think he cant complain, passing back and forth between all those pretty songs to entertain us
I see what you did there
"And if you re-create the tones, you will make them happy. ... You're in a UA-cam Room... Conclusion came to you."

Thank you so much my friend, truly means a lot! Thank you as always for the continued support 🙏
@@NirvanaGuitars you're welcome man
your strumming is seriously perfect. so refreshing hearing the intro to smells played right.
to this day lounge act should have been the single.
Definitely one of the most underrated songs on the album!
@@NirvanaGuitars damn right!!

Always here to compliment. And you're right, definitely 80% Strat.
RIP, Steve Albini
Rest In Peace
Breed sounds absolutely spot on! great work eric! big fan
16:48 is the best part of endless nameless in my opinion
i agree, it feels so eerie and cool
simple but the best
to be honest endless nameless is unironically in my top 4 of the album
hot take it’s the only good part of endless, nameless. No shame just not my style of music
@@goodpeople2953 yeah
This sounds just like the isolated tracks, great job as always dude
Wow thank you so much!
no way, new nirvanaguitars upload! love your tone videos!
New video every Friday! Thank you for watching 😀
I love how this turned out! It’s a wonderful video in response to a good question, definitely can’t wait to see what’s next!
Thank you so much!! Got some fun comp stang content in the works 😃
@@NirvanaGuitars Ooo! Definitely looking forward to it!
Nevermind its my favorite album of Nirvana, and this fender mustang, you are a "realy big star, lets give big hand from Eric."
Dude you totally nailed the intro to Teen Spirit 🤯 awesome playing and great content as always, love your channel bro!!
Excellent video as usual. That's awesome you included Endless, Nameless.
love the new paint job On your compstang it looks so
good
WOW you nailed the sound of the intro in SLTS !!
Sounds perfect bro, awesome job as always
Awesome work, I never get tired of hearing these riffs
Dude the repaint is beautiful i’d argue it’s as good or even better than the vintera II competition paint jobs

Hi! I really love this tone recreations. I really love the new look of your comp-stang! Also i really love your band ithomiid.
🥹 can’t tell you how much it means to me that you took the time to check out my music. Thank you so much!!
The new paint looks great👍
you would probably get closer to smells like teen spirit using the randall
Don’t sleep on that DS-1. Highly underrated
Breed was really in that ballpark man.
Come As You Are sounded excellent the way you set it up too
I Love these tones! Captures the spirit of each song but less "slick" as kurt described the album's mixing

Why would he use a squire Mustang Kurt never used one
The sound and tones are just like the original!
I cant wait till you reach 60k subs. Keep it going. You should also do this with in utero
Thank you so much, and that's a good idea I'll see if I can do something similar for In Utero!
@@NirvanaGuitars yeah in utero is my favourite album of all time
Can you make a video on how to play the songs like Kurt did?
So similar sound! I was amazed how you played Endless nameless, dude)
15:28 this version of something in the way sounds like Linkin Park
the 2 pickups together on this mustang sound better to me than 2 & 4 strat positions. nice.
Hey, just in that hypothetical, though, if you do want to do a Nirvana cover show…
Great video! Wearing a flannel is the cherry on top.
ive always played a humbucker strat but ive always wanted a mustang, they look so cozy to play. one in candy apple red
