What's amazing is that the moguls are not the symetrical ones skied today and when thay do a trick they are landing most times in the moguls - very impressive and not easy - not to mention the oldstyle skinny skis!
I liked Nelson Carmichael the best. His run was nearly flawless, absorption brutal, so quick and athletic, he nailed every turn and threw a great helicopter at the bottom.
Edgar! Edgar! Everything about Edgar's run is really impressive, even the mistakes, which almost seem intended to make the whole thing look more exciting.
@patrulz nice, my parents worked there till 86, guy asked my mom how they made the moguls on the mach so big, she told him they buried volkswagen beetles under them, he believed it
back in the day when the courses were naturally formed instead of the unison moguls that seem to have on courses these days. You had to adjust a bit more and really really know the course. with these course you can really see the differences in the skiers' individual styles--much more entertaining. not that today thing are bad, just prefer the old uneven courses a bit more...the tricks and skiis have definitely evolved lol.
notice how ogren, like a few others at that era, didn't torque daffy to twister from opposite sides like you're supposed to? you can tell how awkward it must have felt! to think that ppl probably didn't think about it for a long time

I skied that run after the world cup back then, '91 or '92 the bumps were brutally difficult.

The real years for moguls. Love it but Edgar Always the best
Awesome memories right there !! Mach 1 rules !
I was there for the aerials on a different day. I skied Mach ! most of the day except when I was watching the aerials.
These courses were so much more entertaining! You actually had to throw some skiing in there in between your jumps.

skiing sure has come a loong way to what it is now

Back when they called 3s *helicopter*
Edgar always ripped it up.
Chuck was doing well until he landed funny on that last jump. I'm gonna have to bring this video up with him. :-)

Looks like a regular slope not uniformed moguls like today.
Leif Persson had a nicer run I think..
