I play cricket and chemical based sunscreen somehow don't work for me as I sweat a lot(more than usual) and we are in 40 celcius for 6-8 hours on a matchday. Have thought to switching on a mineral based sunscreen. But I am again in conflict that will it cause me acne. That's the drawback of having a very sensitive skin.

Left a lot of questions unanswered (No answers available, I know), but you managed to paint the whole picture succinctly enough for people who are trying to get a glimpse of what's behind all the marketing BS, industry smear campaigns, marketing loopholes, etc. The issue is far more complex for people of colour, I think. Aside from the problem with white cast, SPF studies don't involve us much (Are there any?), so there's always that lingering doubt at the back of our minds, "Do I even need a sunscreen?" In Malaysia, we don't get that many incidents of skin cancer. For most people, what's another spot or wrinkle on an ugly mug? They've got kids to feed and school and parents to take care of.
Fear-mongering in general is asinine. And aging skin should never be the reason why someone should wear sunscreen but skin cancer prevention protection instead. They make chemical sunscreens that are reef safe. I would like to try mineral sunscreen. But the problem is I need to cover my whole body and they just don't make big enough products and mineral sunscreen is so expensive. It's unfortunate and some people breakout or have allergic reactions to mineral and/chemical sunscreen. It’s tough.
Fully mineral Zinc sunscreens suck. Have tried them all. They are drying as hell. The tinted ones smear on my clothes and stain. I prefer to buy European and Korean chemical based sunscreens. LRP uvmune 400 are my favorite formulas currently . Sorry the mineral sunscreen lobby is the worst
And you can hate them all. What matters is if you want to slow aging and skin cancer you find one that you like. I think fragrance is the worst but people love it. 🤷🏼♀️

I was just looking at a Cleveland clinic article saying the mineral ones were better for acne/sensitive skin.

I love mineral sunscreen! Thank you for this information. I am currently using Ghostbuster by Lion Pose which is my life saver outside home.

Chemical sunscreen throws my endocrine system off and I begin feeling a huge loss of energy. Mineral sunscreen is much better for me.
Woah, how do you correlate those two? Can you link some studies that show the correlation? I’m super curious.
I spritz rose water on a dab of mineral sunscreen before applying and it blends it well on my brown skin.
