Thanks. The only thing I worry about with shooting in 4:3 is that I always output videos in 16:9, and that composing for 16:9 might be difficult if the camera LCD is showing a 4:3 aspect ratio
If you use it for pov on helmet on in general, shooting in 4:3 ratio makes it easier in post to get the right angle you need for your video. But I understand if you are using it for vlogging or general video, then you always need to consider what will be show or not in 16:9 ratio.
what if i dont like editing
Then it's not for you

Thanks Roger, that's one hell of a tip I had no clue about.
Many doesn't know it
thank you for taking the time to explain the differences. I shall give a try one day.
It is great to know how this new OA4 is compared to OA3 regarding the specs for lens etc.
Best instructional video about the 4 on UA-cam. You have solved a big issue in 2 minutes. Fantastic
Great to hear that my video was for help.
DJI Osmo Action 4 is my first camera. When we record with OA4, Is the width of 4:3 and 16:9 the same? So only the height is different?
Yes the width is the same, so the only difference is the hight.
@@rjfotovideo oh, thank you for the information. Now I will record in 4:3, so I have more flexibility when editing.
@@MawangHujan-fl2zn That's how it's done 😉

Yes I use Davinci Resolve Studio that is paid version, but it is also possible to use the free version of Davinci Resolve with almost no limit.
@@rjfotovideo You need to tell them that the FREE version doesn't do lens correction without the watermark
