  • In this video we take a look at how you can make better timelapses or hyperlapses that look natural. I'll be doing this with the new DJI Osmo Action 4 which is a wonderful camera by the way.

    I see many review mentioned that insta AC pro camera is better tban osmo action 4, what do you think?

      Ha! I think it has better low light features but I like the image quality of the OA4 more. Honestly I'm not an Insta fan so...😏 Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

    Ref 24 fps: "For really fast shots you do not really need to have motion blur." You showed a video that looked like it was sped up. Was this sped up in post- production? If you can speed things up in post, why use hyperlapse? Can you note more about "fast shots"?

      Hello. I meant fast frame rate shots like 50 or 60fps. The video playback is already smooth so there is no need to blend the frames together with motion blur. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

      Hello. It could work. The important thing is to turn off Rocksteady. I'll try it on a clear night. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

    Hello, what is your recommand setting for sunset/sunrise please ?
    Thanks !
    And how can you turn off rocksteady ? On the osmo action 4 i dont see this option in timelaps mode

      Hello. There is actually a present in Timelapse for sunsets. In any case it depends on how long you want your video to be. Shutter speed should be half the time between the frames so if you record 1fps the the shutter speed should be 1/5s. But that is not necessarily for timelapse.
      I'm not sure if Rocksteady is used in Timelapses. Only in Hyprlapses.
      Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

      Hello. It's under timelapse. Then you can choose either timelaps or hyperlapse.
      Thanks for the question. Cheers!

    is it possible to shoot in 4 days via hyper lapse and charging it in the power bank? thanks.

      Hello. You can set an infinite time and up to 40s intervals. I'm not sure how the overheating would be handled. I guess it would work as long as you're not in the Sahara desert.
      Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

      @@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens im planning to use it for 4 days using hyperlapse maybe 1 photo every 30 minutes. is it possible to leave while charging?

    • @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens
      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  10 місяців тому

      30min will not work. You can set 40s max. I don't think it was designed for such long timelapses.
      I think you could leave while the camera is recording.

    Hi Sir. What’s your view in the coming out of the GoPro 12?
    I too have OSMO ACTION 4, and i’m still learning how to color grade my dlog-m footages thats why I subbed in your channel. 🙏🏻

    • @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens
      @M1R0_Life_through_a_lens  11 місяців тому +2

      Hello! I think the Action 4 is a better buy compared to GoPro 12. The bigger sensor with less megapixles is always better for video. Better dynamic range and less power needed for processing which saves the battery and does not make the camera overheat ;)
      I have a video on how to colorgrade D-Log M and add a cool effect if you are using Davinci Resolve Studio so you're welcome to wach it:

      Thanks for the sub and comment. Cheers!

      @@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens i also use davinci resolve in editing but just the free version so I can’t apply the depth map. 😅
      Do you think ND Filters would help the quality of my videos esp on motion blurs, since I don’t have the studio version of resolve. 😅

      Yes the NDs will help but the will also mess with the stabilisation. Electronic stabilizers need sharp images to work properly. Cheers!
