- A troubling discovery is underscoring the dire homelessness situation in Los Angeles after a man was discovered living in an underground utility vault in downtown Los Angeles.
The vault is located near the Japanese American National Museum in the Little Tokyo district. Museum officials are now taking action against the homeless man after the shocking discovery.
Typically, underground utility vaults are secured for safety, yet as L.A.’s homelessness crisis worsens, unhoused individuals are becoming desperate, with some even taking advantage of subterranean spaces. Surveillance video captures a homeless man lifting the lid to an underground utility vault before stuffing a backpack inside.

Yes, but he forgot about the security cameras seeing him. But I agree it was a place where he would have went unnoticed from others, the building's security cameras were his downfall and perhaps someone passing by on the street would have eventually saw and reported him. The idea was good but would have worked better in a quieter location and a disused building.
People don't realize a lot of homeless people just want to exist in peace. And if u find a decent shelter .. then go for it.

@@LeShell yes, I happen to live in LA, grew up dirt poor, but I educated myself and worked multiple jobs through college to get to where I am today. It's about hardwork and good judgment. If you have a victim mentality, you won't get far in life.

That one was tiny af, the larger ones are better, in some places there's literally miles of abandoned vaults/tunnels, some even have electricity you can hijack. Or at the very least you could cop a generator and take it from there.
