Fantastic concert, one of the best moments of the band. Great sound, on a night of great inspiration for all musicians. The alignment of the songs is excellent. No one stops!
The mythical the doors at the hollywood bowl concert is quite a few notches below in terms of what a rock concert by an iconic band should be like. This is awesome for a great many reasons, but you mentioned the fact that no one stops.People don,t usually pay attention to it ,but you see the difference when there are short intervals in between the tunes.Right on the money and the mark. There,s also another thing which is the band,s rapport with the audience and it,s Jim rulin, and leadin, the way and keepin, it naturally from start to finish. If only one could get a DVD of this!!!!!!!!!!!
It's wonderful that UA-cam has all these Live performances by the Doors. Your greatest American band. Hendrix is also an icon but the British adopted him and he made it first there. The Doors and Jimi performed at the Isle of Wight Rock festival. Can you imagine the World then !!! ❤❤❤,☮️🌹🌹✍️
I really like how Jim let's the audience join in and turn the concert into "an experience." This is The Doors at their most "pure" in terms of what Jim had in mind for the group. In that sense, it's probably their best concert.
*Manthos* -- Thank you for uploading this awesome concert, a true gem among recordings of The Doors. I found myself listening in a deep and altered state of mind - something you don't get the chance to experience often. Therefore I once again want to thank you for sharing this passion for musical art. You rock, my friend! ...
God comments like yours are bloody stupid.. the worse thing is when you respond as if your a guru and not straight up misled and stupid I'm glad you enjoy the music but your talking fairytales

😂🎉🤪🥰🤗🙃🔥🥳☮️ Thanks for airing this magnifigant doors🚬📜 album / video if applies let the legend of Jim🎙️📢 Morrison live on in our hearts & minds⚰️🧿🔮🧿 forever⚔️🛡️⚔️
This is the 1st show. Jim had been drinking mass quantities of alcohol starting before the 1st show and when The Doors did they're 2nd show the management of the arena decided it was late and they had played long enough and turned off the power. Well, not ALL the power. Jim's microphone was still on and he goes into a drunken rant till the management finally turned off the power to his microphone.
Jim Morrison was the biggest bad ass of the 1960's and probably rock n roll in general. A rebel poet. He and The Doors were Jack Daniels mixed with LSD. You can hear and feel it in their bluesy psychedelic mind trip songs.
Any concert, you say? I would give anything to hear to hear the shows from December 11th or 12th, 1970...the only two times Riders On The Storm was performed live. Fat chance, but worth asking about!
SChrisSD There's a rumor that the owner of The Warehouse had recorded it and that someone saved/salvaged it when the venue caught on fire. Someday it might surface? I can only hope.
SChrisSD lt was recorded, but the man who possesses it wants a ridiculous fee for it (seven figures). The Doors (when Ray was still alive) didn't want to pay it, and now he's content to leave it stored away.
Yes, not always acknowledged, but Jim was saying this long before McConaughey put it in the "Dazed & Confused" movie. I saw one interview where Matt did mention Jim Morrison.
This was the concert that Matthew McConaughey was inspired for his character Wooderson in dazed and confused. The whole Alright alright alright alright part lol
Hell yes! America’s best then Skynyrd then the Eagles then Megadeth!!! America’s finest though is The Doors!! James Douglas Morrison rules!! Robby, Ray and John and Jim wow they just complemented each other like no other band before or since! Now I love many more bands from here and Britain and other countries but my favorite has been the Doors!

I think Matthew McConaughey said he based Wooderson on Morrison's yell at 0:09
Yes, not always acknowledged, but Jim was saying this long before McConaughey put it in the "Dazed & Confused" movie. I saw one interview where Matt did mention Jim Morrison.
