Love the vids I'd like to say that your vids are underrated and if you put more effort into getting the volume correct I'd recommend these videos to my friends to learn.
@@Borgschulze But not the turbos, BMW is notorious know for building or getting supplied turbos from Garrett that could not withstand the pressure and same goes for the autmatic tranmission, all the older models that had GM produced automatics in the 330x Series were know to fail far before any other tranmission would have failed.
@@ipodman1910 Mine is 750d, which means diesel not gasoline (750i or 750Li which I think is V8? I don't know, don't care), which is quad turbo according to BMW. 😎
In my opinion I think that Hybrid engines are the future because some countries are telling people to get electric vehicles when they can't even charge them because of their Power grid and Hybrid cars can charge themselves while driving just from the engine's heat so that's why I believe Diesel TDI + Electric Motor is the future low consumption and turbo-engines produce more heat so that the electric motor can charge faster and more efficiently

se questo nuovo BMW monta un' 3.0 quadri-turbo-diesel da 400 CV e quattro turbine a geometria variabile arrivera' anche alla quinta turbina ha geometria variabile!!
I'm not at all excited for a future of EVs. I agree they are boring and soulless. However, the quad-turbo engine may have a lot of torque, but it's a maintenance nightmare. You can bank on having to spend thousands of dollars for engine out turbo replacement sooner or later. Who wants that? I think the resale value of any BMW with one of these engines would crash once you get to 100k kms.
@@darylmorset’s very simple aside from the turbos, so if they need to be serviced every 100k miles, it’s still not a big deal. My 335d with 2 turbos has never needed any major work at 160k miles so far.

What do you mean with volume?
Like reach or like sound volume 😂

Tragic, we will see this occurring more and more as electric takes over. Eventually we won’t see any innovation like we used to or could have.
NOBODY IN SOUTH AFRICA CAN FIX THESE HI-TECH CARS!!!
It doesn't really matter.. the new 40d's pump out over 350hp stock
As of 2022-2023 what is the top spec diesel engine for 5 series
Awesome video!
I own a 2019 BMW X5 M50D tarmac tearing torque MONSTA.
BMW is still making these engines for Alpina.
Thanks for sharing! Such good info
Great videos!
3:16 The B57 hasn't been discontinued.. just the B57D30S0 (50d).
Alpina still gets them
🇩🇪 German Diesels rule, Mercedes OM-606 says hi.
B57 aka the german Cummins 5.9 😅
Id imagine the block will survive 600-700hp.
The original M57 from 1998 can handle 600hp, very likely the B57 can handle it no problem.

That's an insult. You can't compare German engineering to US junk.
I want a m550d 😢

Can you do a OM656 vs B57 video
I love my 2017 BMW 750d xdrive.
The quadturbo sounds amazing. 😎
Electric cars? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If I want to go electric, I turn on my toothbrush. 🤣🤣🤣

Don’t lie - I own one and 2017 is not a quad turbo, plus they sound just like a bus - if nit for the speakers inside playing sound from V8…
