The best thing about modding a diesel is having all your friends tell you you should buy a petrol instead if you want to mod it then proving them wrong.
@@lolixdepolixxThe DPF is damping all the sound from the engine. If you look on youtube, you will find people with a DPF deletes that have engines that sound crazy with turbo whistle and all that fun stuff. The only downside is that a DPF delete is illegal in most countries.
I can't hear my turbo at all with a cone air filter. Deer took out the factory one and apparently my MAP sensor too. Can't wait to hear it when the new sensor gets here.
If they ever outlaw non-DEF diesels. Is there any way to retrofit a DEF system on an old diesel, like an om606?! I'm sure if there is, it'd probably be much harder on a mechanical injection rather than common rail. I'm just wondering if it's possible.
This video grabbed my attention and then I saw GP plates and I’m like… “hy is naby.” Lol I have a 2007 Audi A8 3.0 TDi quattro… jas about 175000km on the clock. I changed the tyres and rims to 18’s. Aftermarket exhaust system from downpipe (stainless steel), stage 1 tune. That’s all I have this far and oh yes, changed the air suspension to coil overs with a 30mm lift. It’s a daily drive, so if I may ask, what’s missing for peak performance on a daily drive, what would you advise and would you be able to offer that service? Daie Bankie 👊🏾
I have a 2012 TDCi Ford Mondeo and am only just starting too get into cars. Would a K&N pod filter benefit the car or make it worse? I've heard alot of people say it's bad for the car as it sucks in too much air and will stuff the engine
dont do often stock airbox is not the restrictor as long as your not double the power output. so what i would do direct is a better more efficient intercooler and a tune and you will have increased power. Maybe downpipe but that will make it a bit more drone and louder. but will make your turbo spool easier and sound amazing
I'm dreaming of a 8th gen Accord but petrols are rare as fuck in my country and I want to daily it so I think I'm going have to get a diesel. But fuck I can't wait
This is really helpful. It would be better if you listed these with subtitle text. Also if you could eliminate the background noise on your Mic it would make it 10x better!
Diesels are so much more difficult to make sound good than petrols with aftermarket exhausts. All depends on what you like the sound of at the end of the day. There's still some decent exhausts out for diesels definitely, imo you need to find a good exhaust n not just a cheap one from eBay or something
I got a Toyota avensis 2006 2.0 diesel i wanna ask three things exhaust, how to hear my turbo should i put holes in my filterbox we did it in a Mercedes a old one too
if you want to hear your turbo youre gonna have to change the intake to a cone filter so it doesnt muffle the sound and if you want to hear that diesel woosh that some diesels make youre gonna have to block the EGR and straight pipe
I’ve been looking for a BMW 320d gt intake system but I can’t find any i asked the tuners they said you have to change everything I kind didn’t know what he exactly means but he said it’s gonna cost approximately 1800& and he said there is no power also it’s just sound so it’s kinda worthless 😢
What a bad advice. never delete the EGR. That's super bad for the environment. The intercooler sounded like a good idea initially, but the DPF needed to be in a high enough temperature to be able to clean itself. So, a well enginereed system, and you tinker on thing making the other thing malfunction, then you tinker the other, then another.
Thank you for this video. I have a 15 Audi A3 TDI and all the videos I see are tailored for gasoline vehicles. I greatly appreciate the info.

This!! Now the only thing is that I’m trying to figure out what I can do to give my diesel a nicer and deeper sound.

@@doompenguin7453 In eu DPF delete is legal just beacuse there is still no MOT test for disel cars, only MOT Test for gasoline cars
Most pointless thing trying to make a diesel sound good. Mission impossible.

De cat, egr delete and dpf removal. Good luck with MOT in UK!
I have no problem with mot
If it looks like it’s still there it will likely pass, i know people with dpf and egr delete and they pass emissions tests, the cat stops a lot of it
Pretty decent, short video for people with not too much knowledge
Personally i can understand you but i see how some people might not

If I removed my DPF do I needs to get it remapped
Noremap needed to a tune and reflash your ecu bypassing your egr and dpf sensors
No, but your cel will always be on

Hi there.helpful video.
Any idea where I can get a EGR blanking/d elete kit in Gauteng for a N47 motor

Whats your intake , can you give me a link please?

3:16 that’s not a 120d motor bro
That’s a 1.9tdi intake
One thing I will say is diesels don’t really take well to induction kits and end up losing power
On what website can i find the intake tune

Cold air intake, and a high pressure gas pump should do the job

Weirdly I have a custom carbon intake, straight pipe, blanked EGR but I literally never hear any difference in the engine or turbo.
If you tune a diesel firstly you dont need to tune the air intake/exhaust , you need more fuel so changing the injectors is the most important step
open air filter allows warm engine bay air temp to enter air filter , loosing BHP
get a heat shield then

should i straightpipe or like muffler delete my diesel, its a 330d e92
You can, the turbo just gets really loud😂. Straight pipe might be a bit much. But muffler delete or sports exhaust, would help with back pressure
Straight pipe it my f30 sounds beautiful with straights
