Hey doc, I got this weird thing growing on my tongue now. Can you take a look and see what's up? Yeah, I've been drinking a cup of aquarium water every day. Need those minerals.
1:15 No wonder the snails don't 'clean up the algae', that's an assassin snail. The only thing they clean up is the snails that would be eating the algae if they weren't dead. *edit* I still feel like that tank is way to small for the guppies. How much water could that possibly be, 3 Gallons? Why not stick with shrimp, some more plants and this could have been really cool. As it is, that's a pass for me. *another edit* Right, I've had a really effed up day today but those tiny loachlings instantly made it better. The epitome of cuteness. Now I feel like trying to get my noodles breeding, too... *last edit* Not an MMO but Grounded is really fun on multiplayer.
those fish in that toilet must be suffering from PTSD from the bombs that go off in there, and are scarred for life from learning that family's bathroom schedule lol. It's not an mmo rpg, but my wife and I play smash brothers at the end of a tough day.
4:02 I had a 10 gallon tank that did something like that. It didn't have any fish. The anubius in my 30 gallon tank was starting to crowd out some of the other plants, and I didn't want to throw it away, so I set up a spare 10 gallon to store it. Because it was only for plants, I didn't give much thought to the filter I bought, I just wanted something that would move/aerate the water. It's a crappy filter that clogs constantly. I also put it in a corner of the room where the lighting is apparently not ideal. The anubius I put in the tank all died and rotted into slush in about a week. That opaque film started accumulating on the surface of the water to the point that even the duck weed was noticeably dying back. The water wreaked, too. I had to drain the whole thing. I'm just glad the only casualties were a few plants.
Chris rated my tank!!!! Lets gooooo. My poor ancient betta actually did pass only a few days ago, but he lived over 2 years with me and including the tail got over 4 inches!!!! I think he might’ve also been a king betta. Eventually hopefully you see my updated betta shelf!! Now I have 3 planted betta tanks :) (2 plakats and a half moon)
I'm sorry for your loss. They have such great personalities. I had a betta fish named Blurple, he was a combination of blue and purple Shortfin, anyway he lived for seven years and nobody could believe it. And as ashamed as I am I had him in it 2 gallon brandy glass. Of course with a heater and a sponge filter with live plants. I miss that bugger. RIP ANCIENT & BLURPLE.
The baby kuhli are soooo cute! qotw I have been playing old school runescape for many years and still love it. There is also Runescape3 if you prefer it.

Unless you're absolutely anal retentive, go ahead and do it. Don't forget to hug your mom, and drink plenty of water. NOOoooo!!! Not the fish tank water!!!
I think toilet tank is really cool. Great way to scare your guests into thinking they killed your fish. 😂 I wish the swimming compartment was just a little bit wider
That is actually a REALLY good idea - you can feed your fish/fry A LOT of you are changing 50%+ of the water several times a day. And grow them faster than professionel breeders!
Another awesome video!!! Not a fan of the toilet tank aquarium because you will never get to sit and admire your fish! 😂 My aquarium is in my living room where normally a tv would be. So it’s front and center when I sit on the couch 😊 Much better than tv!
I’m still not big on the idea of someone doing something like this personally, but like you said it could definitely be worse, like having goldfish and draining the tank’s water when it flushes Though I’d also like to note that he has an assassin snail in there which is a carnivore, not an algae eater Baby kuhli loaches are such a blessing ❤ Oh my gosh freshwater shrimp do cleaning services too?! So cool Also mindblowing to see a betta imitating a tripod (deep sea dweller, walks along the bottom of the ocean floor just like that with its stilt-like fins) Had no idea they could do that!
My hubby and I love to play a few - Valheim, Medieval Dynasty, V Rising, Civ6, Sea of Thieves, Secrets of Grindea, Diablo 4. There are plenty. :D Good luck!
I just got my first pair of banded khuli loaches. First time I've even seen them. I usually only find the black ones in my area. They're going to live with my black samurai plakat, in the planted sand... of The Krusty Krab.
even though i have a lid too keep him from jumping out, i take comfort in knowing that if he jumped out while i was asleep, my goldfish is so big i'd wake up to save him.
Under gravel filters are useful for goldfish. Hear me out. I set up a holding tank for some fairly large orandas for my mum. I put the grate in the bottom and loosely piled some larger river rocks on it. It was just enough to make the grate less obvious but there was lots of circulation for water and debris to be sucked down under the grate. I did not attach the airstones into the tubes but instead attached that to my HOB intake so the flow of water and debris was straight down through the grate where it would then be drawn up into the HOB filter. If it was just with the airstones as intended, all that debris just sits there under the gravel grate, it doesn't actually get filtered out. My setup worked pretty darned well. I gave mum her fish about 4 months later and when I went to clean out the tank, there was very little debris to actually clean up.
10:15 Whisker shrimp is the appropriate common name. Getting them confused with ghost shrimp is the main reason most people are scared of _actual_ ghost shrimp.
Right after school! The perfect thing after school ltodo(instead of homework😝) I love making people fishkeepers by talking loads about fish to them until they become a marine biologist(and fishkeeper)!
My dad used those undergravel filters when he was in the hobby but after he got married 24 years ago he hasn't really done anything with the hobby. Me and my sibling had those horrible fish bowls growing up and he never interacted with them besides reminiscing having big tanks. He never did like plants because he was told that live plants make ammonia spikes but that's likely because the filter he was using doesn't do well with plants. Before I moved out I had a 29 gallon fish tank set up with lots of plants my mom loves plants. And she likes the tank but Dad doesn't like that it's not being done the way he used to do it and in order for him to take an interest and help Mom out with the tank I think he would have to mostly do things the way he used to (is likely autistic and won't admit it). I was thinking I could get him to combine his way with the planted tank way by using Anubis, java fern, floating plants, and planted bowls of nutrients substrate away from the plain gravel. If that works it will be relieving I just hope I can convince them not to get rainbow vomit gravel. (It currently has black gravel mixed with fluvial stratum Volcanic soil.
I feel like the toilet tank is a bit too small for fish, but it does look very cool and otherwise good husbandry. Maybe if it was a small part of a larger tank. That would be extra cool cause then you could have more stocking.
If you want loaches to breed, put a little pile of pebbles in your tank and feed live foods. They love laying their eggs in rock piles, then the babies will hatch and hang out in the spaces between the rocks for protection❤ And play borderlands or fallout vault 76 together 💖
I loved my canister filter, untill it started shocking the crap out of me. But my canister uv steralizing filter is still great a year later. Just remember to replace the uv bulbs.
The happiest moment in my fishkeeping "career" was realizing my pygmy cories were breeding. Only one fry at a time has survived each batch of eggs, but they’ve successfully raised 3 or 4 so far. Edit for context: 1. Cories may eat their own eggs. 2. They live with shrimp who may eat their eggs. 3. I don't notice them until they're half grown usually since the tank is heavily planted, so the fry are never "saved" and put into a fry net.
That toilet tank is a prime example of just cause you can, doesn't mean you should. Although I think if he want aquasoil and dwarf sag carpet it would be sick looking. Rn it looks extra ugly cause of the gravel
My wife and I loved It Takes 2 and we still go back for a sesh of Vampire Survivors every now and then. I recommend checking out Baldurs Gate 3 Co-op if you havent yet, that should keep you guys busy for quite some. time.
Did 100% forget to get the airstone but Tundra now has a 10 gallon planted, inherrited from my late Jack who was also a blue marble with vision problems. What a world. Little boy grow up well!!! And here I was going to take that tank down this week...
Oh i learned to put a lid on my bettas when i was 12. Stepped on my male who jumped out... apperently not long before i stepped on it. That was tramatizing washing my foot and the carpet.
@@FishForThought i was a kid, first fish tank ever, my dad assumed it didnt need a lid. I took it as a learning experience. My dad did take me up and buy it a lid and me new fish because he felt bad. But its why i keep lids on all my tanks now.
As far as MMORPGs go: husband and I started out playing GuildWars together and then went in to GuildWars2 (both of which are more processor heavy than graphics card heavy) and have since moved on to playing Final Fantasy 14 together for the past 10 years (we've been married for 14 years and were dating for about 8 years before that). So I can say, if her processor is pretty nifty, GuildWars2 is a good option. If you have a run down of her actual specs from systemtray, can be easier to recommend others! Been watching your videos for a few years now and just now leaving a comment since you brought up my second favorite hobby to fish keeping! Lol.
Wildcard suggestion: Snowrunner. Go drive some heavy offroad trucks, or dinky soviet klapwagons around the mountains together. Nothing solidifies a relationship like yer wife winching you out of a swamp!
Finally. My time has come. Chirs, you and your new wifey should try Ultima Online. It is old and runs well on computers with low specs. It has housing and a skills progression system. You can fish up treasure maps. You can craft armor and clothes. It has an amazing magic system. There are the actual servers and then there are some great community run servers. You both can work to buy a house and decorate it. You can be a wizard, a tamer, a ninja, a sword fighter, a fencer, a fisher, a black smith, a miner. So many options for personalization. It was the game that was the inspiration for RuneScape.
As someone who's played Guild Wars 2 since launch on and off, it's perfect because the base game is free, if you guys don't like it, no lost money, just some memories with your wife!
My QOTW answer, me and my fiancee absolutely love playing elder scrolls together. But for coop we love 7 days to die, greenhell, dont starve together, baulders gate 3, and grounded.
I've never seen a baby khuli loach before and now I immediately need 14 of them. QOTW: I highly HIGHLY recommend Guild Wars 2. I've been playing since 2014 and there's plenty for you to do together and separately. Achievements, weapon building, great expansions that are affordable and base game is free to play. There's also Final Fantasy 14 which may be the better route because you get 2 expansions on a free trial. If you do ever want to sub to it, it's sooooo worth it. I've clocked about 5k hours over the past 3 years. Same with GW2, plenty to do solo or with friends. And the raids, my god the raids are amazing. Yes I'll even do the meme, making it through base game is the great filter but I promise the first expansion will hook you.
I mean, i wouldnt reccomend the fishtank toilet, its interesting but i know at the very least they get earthquakes every time its sat on or flushed lol
So yeah man... corydora catfish are glow and has been a thing for about a year now they come in orange yellow and green..... So I work at a pet store and see it frontline. They still pumping random fish with jellyfish DNA....

Final Fantasy XIV. Great story with a lot of different things you can do separate or together and doesn’t punish you for taking breaks.
