OMG, these fossils were so coooool!! You are so lucky to live in such beautiful and rich in fossils place, not mentioning the awesome agates you find all the time😉 The cat cracked me up at the end🤣🤣
That was such a cool adventure! And to be able to enjoy it with your boys, makes it even better! To know the history of the pet wood and the the other fossils is one thing, but to see them and know just how old and amazing they are is mind blowing! What a great adventure and amazing finds! Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you boys for taking me along with you on your adventure. How amazing was this. A forrest laying about at your feet. I wish I was there. Some amazing logs were found! Thank you for showing me what these trees originally looked like. Have a wonderful Easter. From the land down under. Autumn has arrived for us.
Wow, petrified wood is my favorite, the history behind it, these are amazing pieces. The beach is awesome, thanks for sharing these and your day. So cool and beautiful, thanks boys! The fossils were cool too!
@@RockhoundingLife I totally agree there, the pieces I find in michigan are way smaller than the beautiful pieces you find, but excellent tumbler pieces.
That was super! Loved all the tree fossils. Amazing all the details you could see. Thanks for taking us along. It looks like the boys did really good. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
You find great stuff up there, and I love that you take the little guys along to gain all that knowledge of the natural world as well. Thanks for the awesome vids, the history lessons, and the great specimens!
Amazingly cool spot to hunt! Those full rounds were incredible! Loved the fossils too. I can't wait until I am financially able to visit beautiful Nova Scotia!
Awesome!!! A lot of the fossils from this video you can find at Blue Beach as well even though the rocks are 30 - 40 million years older at Blue Beach.
@@RockhoundingLife I live in Wilson County. All I find are Eocene fossils. It's hard cause the land I am living on has lot's of fossils. Problem is they are either completely hematite mineral replaced or are *rats* lol I can't think of the word. It is a rock type that has layers. In this case hematite and clay or some yellow mud stone I think that is what it is. I am from Idaho and have been trying to get a handle on the rocks and such down here. Anyway great video.
At least your cat only washes its paws in your drink.... Mine pee's in mine ...no joke 😂. What lovely specimens, I hope you find time to slab and polish them 👍💞💞💞
Hi from Sue in NB. I am so envious. I have been to Parrsboro and Joggins a few times and fell in love with fossils. Also went on a field trip around the Gaspe and found lots of fossils. Because of my health, I can no longer get out searching anymore. So I absolutely loved this video. I just discovered your channel. Take care and have fun.🔨 💜
Wow! That is amazing to be able to find such beautiful fossils and learn about a bygone period of time. The fossil imprints were beautiful and I was yelling "grab the chisel" for the very last one you showed preserved perfectly in the rock. Can't wait to see what projects you have planned for the beautiful pieces you and the boys collected. Happy Easter from my family to yours! 🐇🐰🥚
Nice finds. Thanks for the video. Did you try to cut any of it? With it pretty much being coal do you think it probably wouldn’t polish very well? The petrified wood I find is basically coal as well.
Hello my name is Daryn from Canada and I found some petrified wood and wood like to know maybe the value of it and what I have . I'd really like to contact you if possible
Not everything is yours to take you shouldn’t touch the petrified wood it should stay right where it’s at it doesn’t belong to you it belongs to all of us
We dont take anything in the rock face, nor do we touch the rock face. I want you to understand that the specimens that fall on the beach end up getting destroyed by the tides. So they end up being lost forever. Especially the tree specimens because the material is so soft and fragile. So at the very least move them to the high water mark.
Perfect pretified wood
Awesome. Coming down to Nova Scotia in June of 2023. Can't wait to check out this amazing spot and to go back in time. Thank you
Nice day of wood and fossils!

The fossils were amazing! I thought they were the best part of the video... until I saw the cat🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
World's Finest Seam Agates, Beaches laden with Fossils and Coalified Petrified Wood. Yup, gotta plan a trip to Nova Scotia someday.
If I didn't live here it would be on my bucket list for sure if I knew the treasures you could find here!

Whoa that stromo!!
Amazing . I finally made it to Blue beach!

I love watching your adventures with your boys❣️ One complaint, there never long enough!!! Lol! Happy rock hunting!!!
Haha! I'm trying to make them shorter with more quality.
You can do both. Hehehe
Happy Easter All...Our cats have been caught drinking out of glasses many times. hehe
🐈
What a bunch of great finds (and very informative too). Happy Easter to you and the family (including the well-cleaned cat, ;-))
Thanks!! And happy Easter to you as well!!!
Absolutely stunning specimens. I would love to find a full round of Petrified wood of any kind near me in California.
My parents had a petrified wood fireplace made with large pieces. Also a couple logs in the backyard.
Sounds like my kind of fireplace!
@ 2:16 There's the perfect picture of a fox's face staring right at you.
New to your channel. Very cool finds. From Texas 🙃☕❤❤❤

Nice finds. Thanks for the video. Did you try to cut any of it? With it pretty much being coal do you think it probably wouldn’t polish very well? The petrified wood I find is basically coal as well.
They don't polish well at all but they look very nice with an epoxy finish.
Is it possible go outside Canada with petrified stone? I want to know your location.😃😃
So much material, what to take and what to leave. I would like to see one of the rounds polished.
These don;t take a very good polish because of the carbon but the look great with a coat of epoxy.
We're going to be in the Pictou area, I'd love to see those fossils! What's the name of the beach/cove?
Its on big island in pictou county. You have to time the tide right to walk around the point otherwise you will get trapped.
What beach are you on in Pictou County? I would love to take my boys hunting!
Question ?
My maternal grandfather is from PE Island
Have you ever hunted there ?!?
No. There isn't much going on in PEI. Some fossil spots
