If you get the time, I'd recommend getting some braided lines to replace what look to be the original rubber lines. It'll improve your brake feel and its a nice preventative maintenance upgrade.

The Choke, restricts the amount of air available for the fuel mixture making it richer to start the engine.

Best engine for it. A lot less fragile than a red top. Carry a cam belt and fan belt in the glove move and swap them roadside. Red top would do the valves.

Considering getting one. Currently looking at 1990-2000 japanese four and getting rid of my single cylinder of the same size. CBR 600 F PC25 or PC31 or Yamahas YZF 600 depending on available parts, price and condition ofc.
