- Want to see some carnage from filming America's List? Well if you aren't pushing the limits there won't be any glory! We popped a nice hole in the side of the oil pan and did some damage to the billet Proline Engine block from a rod failure. In this video I personally walk you through the catastrophic failure in Goliath, what it looks like, how we are going to fix it and I tear the engine and transmission down for you to see.

I remember when your s10 caught on fire after you knew something was going to give and went out anyway. Caught fire and won! You are awesome sir!
Haha thank you Daniel
Most honest guy on the show. Thanks Dave
Thank you
Boy have engines come a long way since I was street racing in the 80’s. Simply amazing!, beautiful works of art.
Do like a wristband raffle for them broke Rod pieces to help fund your motor just an idea that popped in my mind seeing all the Carnage
great video! thanks for walking us through that process! also like watching a guy work on his own stuff. thanks again!
Lmao none of these guys do their own motors they all just pay ppl to build motors for them! This is exactly why they are a joke to real street racers who build their own stuff and can truly say my car is the fastest. These clowns just spend as much money as they can to have someone else build them a motor! Their called pocket pussies there whole car is just what they have in their pocket book that’s it
@@fubarmofo6969 They all rebuild there motors. Not to many people have a machine shop in there shop to repair a billet block.
Take notes daddy Dave is a professional.
Knuckle scars and race cars...... Gotta love it man. Can't wait to see that beauty back on the track Dave
thank you so much
Great video brother Dave the butt crack cover-up had me rolling. Keep up the great work with that gorgeous car
Haha thanks Anthony!
Dam that sucks but it happens that is racing thanks for details in the video very awesome small pro charger lol good luck in npk
Yes safety first you are 100% correct.
Damn, you sent that one all to hell! Tough break. Hope to see it back together soon.
High hopes for DD and Goliath at NPK!
I'm from Brazil, and I'm your fan, congratulations for the work you've done for us to entertain.
Like the tech bits. Keep em coming and good luck!
Living your dream. I hope the show shows the dangers of racing, and gives an outlet for those with the passion for racing.
Appreciate all the mechanic side of your channel, its cool to see from you.
Ouch that's gonna be expensive, BUT you didn't get hurt, fix it and get back to kicking there ass. Stay Safe
Hey Dave, that’s not to bad it’ll buff out. A little Lucas some extra gasket sealer, a tube of Flex seal and your back on the track. 25 to 30 minutes she’ll be race ready. 👍🏼 great video as always. Best of luck with the rest of the season 🇺🇸💪🏼
Duck tape will fix all of that
Haha, it'll buff out ;)
@@DaddyDaveRacing just wanted to say you’re doing a great job with these videos bro. Goliath is absolutely gorgeous, I’m a huge fan of the square body styles. The color is perfect it’s just clean, simple no unnecessary bullshit and graphics. It a beautiful build Dave. 👍🏼
I really hope that you saw Ryan’s video when his driveshaft came apart. Hopefully you and everyone who’s racing saw it honestly. That’s some scary shit when stuff like that starts flying around and blowing holes in metal and even bending/ denting roll cage bars!!! I hope you got all that covered up so you can stay safe out there! Hope to see you win some NPK events this year! I will definitely be cheering for you and I’m sure thousands more will be too!!! Much love from Greenville, SC. 💯👍🏼
Absolutely I hope anyone that races street/track or both seen that for their own piece of mind. It's not a hard decision to contain the driveshaft and live to race another day or end up missing a limb or two or worse killed. In my early day's of drag racing I mean early days. I had a simple 13 second Mustang, It was fun for a while until the driveshaft came through the trans tunnel and came with in centimeters of my arm. It ripped the sleeve of my SFI jacket from the shoulder down!!! That's when it went from fun to being a advocate of safety after that day. Be smart the best money spent is safety devices for your car and yourself. Be safe everyone!!!
Glad it's not hurt any worse then it is, Best of luck to ya. May God be at your side.
I appreciate that, you as well!
Awesome walk thru Dave love u guys can't wait to see the new season of America's list I hope all the 405 guys end up 1 2 3 4 5. Much love Dave and that's a big ass hole for sure catastrophic failure
Good video Dave interesting to hear how and the reasons why you’ve built Goliath the way you have. Keep up the good work 👊🏻👍🏻
thank you Shaun
DAMMMN DAVE! Shawn wasn't lying when he said you never do things half assed. Look at all that
100%
For a minute towards the end of the video that hat threw me off a little! I was wondering if it was the same guy or not! Good video! Keep them coming!
thanks for the support
Daddy Dave got her together
I got the feeling you’re going to be Number one this year keep up the good work👍👍👍DD
Love your videos. I remember watching you hurt feelings with the Sonoma pickup and now your doing it with this car. You ever miss the Sonoma pickup
Love the way you are! Calm and straight forward. Must have some Swedish blood in you😀😀. Looking forward to see you in the top 5 this coming season💪.
Hey Dave I want you all in okc I'm a big 405 fan for a long time now even though Larry Larson lives a few miles from me. Back in the 70s and 80s when was racing I had a 12.0s 66 chevelle as a daily driver yea I know in today's standard that slow but I sure had fun and made some money and when I street outlaws on TV years ago I've been hooked I'm disabled from a accident in 2007 and watching you all helps takes my mind off of my pain so good or bad I'm behind you guys a 💯 even watching on UA-cam. Sorry to see the carnage but technology is amazing now a days best of luck at npk. 405 all the way. God bless you and as always be safe 👍
thank you for the kind words and support, makes me happy to know I can bring a little bit of entertainment to your life :)
When you are pushing it to the limits, things will break. Part of the game. Great video. Race fast- be safe.
A man on a mission👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 I know u will come back cause u r a true champion 🏆 letz get him
Greetings Daddy Dave..
If you ain't bending you ain't sending 💯
Tough break though but it's fantastic to hear it's repairable. Thanks for the content on your channel and good luck with NPK, you certainly have my support. hope you win 🏆 🤠☝ 🇿🇦
awesome, I appreciate that Kyle!
It's really amazing that you're block can be repaired. Technology really is cool sometimes. Years ago a cast iron block would have been done. With that was available when I was you're age. Can't wait to see more of Goliath!
thank you so much! Yes there are expensive, however can be a little forgiving on repairs etc.
Daddy Dave and The Goliath vs Ryan Martin and The Fireball Camaro will be the Teams to Beat this Year! Good Luck Daddy Dave! I have been a Fan of yours ever since I watched you School them Sucker's on PiNKs!
Safety 1st. Really Really good point Daddy Dave. This was very interesting. And your shop is Clean. I like it.
Thank Daddy Dave for another great episode !. So much interesting to know Safety First design of Goliath's mid plate. See you next post !.
I appreciate it
Some JB weld and some Slick 50 , send it down lol. That's crazy. Get her fixed and back to the top Dave.
It'll buff out ;)
Love to watch you race! You set a great example for others with your attitude towards safety. Hope you win it all at NPK.
Contest for the broken rod parts!
I love carnage art

A very nice garage😊👍🇱🇷
I’ve always thought of you as full send, but I’m glad to see you don’t compromise on safety. I’m sure your family is, too.

Tough break! Definitely need you representing the 405 at NPK!!
Love the car! Always cheering for you.
Bummer , the drag☹️ side , of having all that dragon 🐉 fun making those air pumps "SING" 🥂🏁🏁 Thank You😊
Excellent video it’s cool that you take the time to explain the process thank you
So happy you all are enjoying it
That is something else man- I had no idea the mid plate separated the motor and flywheel like that. In addition, did not realize how far that engine sits back in the wheelbase. Nice 👍🏻
I'm looking forward to the upcoming NPK season....you looked really good when you got the car fixed and back last year...definitely got their attention....wish you all the luck this season
Great video Dave ,wish you great success this season ,I'll be cheer n for you,Dennis from long Island N.Y

Love how clean it is
Great video. Thanks for taking some time and showing us some things. It makes it more interesting. Was into street racing back in the later 60's and early 70's. There were a lot of fast cars, even from the factory but nothing like what you have. Keep up the good work.
Keep doin your thing dave love how you give people knowledge on maintenance on your car keep it up bud 💪🏽💪🏽
Not the 1st time Dave has blown a motor up pushing it to be as fast as he can and it won't be the last I'm sure. I respect the hustle and competitive drive he has
I love that almost all the Street Outlaws are making UA-cam videos only one left is Doc!!!
Ole Doc! Doc oh Doc oh Doc!!
It’s sad that Ole Doc puts himself in the positions he always finds himself in!!
Dave I’ve always been a big fan of you, I remember watching you win cash days is the old 1320 videos. Glad to see you on UA-cam.
1320 cash day videos are best content on UA-cam
Our nitro nostalgia FC used to make "aluminum coleslaw' on occasion. it happens!
As farmtruck would say…good job daddy dave 👌…videos are coming on nicely..detailed and a joy to watch…killing this UA-cam stuff…bravo 👏👏👌
Been fan of daddy Dave since back in the day when him chief and Azn were on pinks this man can drive!
Mad respect daddy dave..you is my OG street outlaw 🇯🇲
U are my favorite 405 . Murder nova is my next favorite. I don’t miss an episode of y’all kicking ass. Stay safe man
HARD TO KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN!!! HATE TO SEE ALL THAT HAPPEN TO GOLIATH ,THAT'S RACING!! TAKE CARE DAVE!!!!
thank you Dan, we're coming back strong!
Great video Dave
Love the videos man, and love how you try and share knowledge
thank you
Hey Dave thanks for the videos I know it's costly to race and having to go through what all racers have to go through when a car comes apart during a race but good luck Dave and looking forward to seeing you get back out their and head for #1 spot just keep it between the ditches and keep all fours on the ground
that's incredible you do this all yourself
gotta do what you gotta do to make things happen!
Love the short educational Vids. Learning something new
awesome, that is my goal!
Thanks for showing the parts and what does what ! I could of watch 30 mins of that . Good luck on the upcoming season!!!!!!!!!
Awsome content. Sorry it was under these circumstances. Good luck Dave.
Yasss. Dave you've got the potential to take gold at NPK this season. Work it.
Damn !!!!!! Nice Dave well you drive like an Animal this happens hope you get it back fast !!🇺🇸💪💪💪💪👍
Sorry for your loss.
Proline’s product, service, knowledge and part availability, is worth every penny they charge. Especially when you are in a bind and need the motor back yesterday. There’s not another engine builder, company that goes above and beyond for their customers, period.
Thoroughly enjoied
Thanks for the video Dave. Good luck this year.
Dave, You and Ryan looked forward enough to see what it is going to take and how to refine your preventative maint. to be a consistant winning team with the changes you've both made. You deserve to be #1 again. Looking forward to watching you & Goliath grab it. Enjoy your informative videos. Best to ya.
Queremos videos com o OPALA. Parabéns pelo seu trabalho.🇧🇷
Damn Dave u even blow 1 up right! Sorry I hope you put it back together an do some head huntin with it.
Thanks for the video Dave, YOU ROCK!!!
thank you Jason!
When are you coming back to South Georgia motor sports park I live about 10 minutes from it have raced my car over there several times I would love to see you guys good luck
one of my most vivid memories of the old days back when street outlaws started was daddy Dave always blowing the Sonoma up great driver but loves to play boom with engines but still the coolest driver in the 405 & NPK
That's an expensive repair, my dad torched our m6 head last time at sgmp its awesome things are easily repairable being billet but its still really expensive the more time they take to fix and more parts needed obviously.. running our older heads this weekend while they get repaired , proline has to love it that so many guys are switching to their combos, shows marketing really does work too.. wed never have made the dive to 481x if i didnt see just how well it works and ryan convinced me at track rental that if we can afford it, its the move so here we are and we love it..
I like you Daddy Dave… Huge fan here. Go get them….
Ouch Dave, that sucks. But by yourself mad respect
Daddy Dave Racing i follow you 💯 from 🇨🇦 #YSW I have alot of respect for you I really like how you are on the streets Drag Racing 🏎 👌 kickass you don't hold back you are go go out all the way when you Drag Race bye from #YSW
Thats a huge step from the blower outlet to pipe diameter, good for dirty air flow and drag. More gains with tapered pipes.
very smart only having the crank coming threw the mid plate dave.. most would choose the weight loss and not give fire a second thought. my brother was burnt from hot cooking oil and i was stunned at the damage it does to the human skin so i understand your reason for fire prevention.. i am surprised you guys dont run a trans blanket just for the sake of protection from trans oil if you split a trans housing. but good to see your doing well and the cars going great and there is a video of a billet block with more damage than yours and how they repaired it was amazing even after the nasty repair a shop had attempted to do to it but in the end it looked amazing and you would never know. enjoy champ
Come on dave get back to the top you and Goliath are the baddest been rooti n for you for years let go👊
Race,fix,repeat!
Thanks for sharing!
I totally agree about keeping the smallest holes possible in the mid-plate to prevent fire hot oil or other fluids coming in the passenger cabin of the car. Additionally I install a block off plate over the access hole for the torque converter bolts. The plate is held in place with two bolts but in reality only one has to be removed to access the converter bolts the other just barely loosened to allow the cover to rotate and then tightened to keep it out of the way. I still am not 100% comfortable with a transmission in the passenger cabin without a cover over it if for some reason it starts squirting hot transmission fluid no do I like debris etc being whipped into my office from around the transmission and drive shaft nor do like the idea of something from inside my office (drivers compartment) falling down and possibly hitting the driveshaft, u-joint, yoke etc and then hitting me while driving at speed therefore I am rather old school and have a transmission/drive shaft cover made out Aluminum. Yes carbon is lighter but way more expensive and for the little bit of weight difference between the two compared to the expense I’ll just make sure to take a leak before making a pass which race nerves normally make me do anyhow 😁
At least someone is still making youtube videos. Yeah Murder Nova i'm looking at you!
Wow!...Dave is the man..
Keep em coming
Damn Dave’s channel is legit
thank you so much
Nice job well done video
I like the videos, keep them coming. Hopefully some day I can actually get a chance to see you in hartshorne. I know you love the road 😂
