Finishing Up Chemotherapy. What is next?

- Hi friends,
Well, as you can guess from the title of this video I AM DONE WITH CHEMO! It’s honestly still sinking in. I don’t think it will really feel real until I have my PET scan in a few weeks and know for sure that there is no evidence of disease anymore and of course, I have a long road of recovering ahead of me and two years of immunotherapy still.
But it feels so good to be done. Here are some of my thoughts.

Yay! I’m so glad that this part of your journey is complete. I’m heading into a new phase of my own journey…first went through 13 rounds of chemo, and just had surgery on April 24. I had colon resection (tumor removal) and a total hysterectomy via laparotomy, and watching your recovery after surgery helped to boost my courage. Thank you for sharing, even with the hard stuff ❤

Shirley here, glad your done with the harsh stuff. It shows in your face it was ruff, but you'll get back to normal.
So happy for you Amanda...to be done with this part. I pray that you continue to rest and heal, and come back stronger than ever. This grandma in Texas will be praying for your complete recovery.
It sounds like you have some clarity and very positive plans.
Recovery and finding your new normal takes time with plenty of curve balls anticipating what that means.
Hope you can just go with the flow, they also tested your T3 by itself and you consider sharing you new work on your newsletter to peak interest to view. The new glimmer piece is very nice. I hope you consider in navy over the green.

Know too, the feeling of not feeling GREAT and NEED TIME time time TO be kind to oneself..
tuck yourself in with simple cozy comforts, pamper yourself and that horrible FEELING of nasty toxins and chemi BRAIN...

Amanda, my Warrior Friend, so good to see you again. I know that overwhelming feeling of having been done chemo, it’s a huge accomplishment! Take time to recoup as your body has been through “the wars”, as they say. Are they not doing a hysterectomy on you? Mine is scheduled for June 8th all being well with scans on May 15th. You sound like your hair may come in faster than mine did (fin. chemo Jan. 26th/ hair growth started in March), now about 3/4 “ long. They say 4”-6” in a year after chemo 🤷🏼♀️. I wish you all the very best going forward, with work, your home projects & your Hawaii Trip w/ your mom. Take care. Sending you my 🙏&❤️&🤗.

I know that feeling I finished 33 Rounds of Radiation on March 10th. Think it was one of the best feelings.
But for 2 weeks I slept and slept. I didn't even have the energy to paint a small 8×10 picture.
You take care of yourself right now.We will always be here for You ❤ Take your time one day at a time as they say. And this too shall pass as my Mom used to say 😢 I miss my step Mom So so much especially now that Mothers day is coming 😢 So enjoy your Mom I I'm so excited for the both of you going on a trip how Awesome is that.

Chemo is so incredibly exhausting and you don’t bounce back for quite awhile, mental as well as physical, take it easy, give yourself time for the toxins to leave your body and start rebuilding your health and strength ❤

Hawaii is nice but once you have been there you won't want to go back a second time. I heard this from a lot of people to. But it is a beautiful place to go for a vacation.

I don't know if I'm going through a mental illness or what, but I really hope to get cancer. I know how dangerous, difficult, and painful it is, and it takes a lot of treatment, days, patience, and strength to heal it, but I love it despite all its hardships. I hope it happens with me. I feel as if I am going through a mental illness. There is a mental illness called actual morbidity disorder. It is the delusion of the self and others with the disease, but I am not like that, because I do not like to show others my illness and weakness, and I do not delude anyone that I am sick, but I only hope that I will be infected I have cancer and undergo chemotherapy, and I also imagine myself being infected and being treated, and I gathered a lot of information about the disease, and even I was looking for tours in the hospital rooms in order to imagine smoothly and easily I do not know why this is happening to me. I have university entrance exams, but I cannot study because of imagination and because of my search for cancer on social networking sites for very long hours. I do not know what is happening to me, but I am very sad. I do not know anything except that I discovered a tumor in my body and I think it is malignant, but after a while the tumor disappeared and I was very disappointed 🥹💔💔💔
