This song took a while to grow on me but it's been maybe 5 weeks since I recorded this video and I've found myself randomly bursting into song.

I didn’t like/understand the song but my comment is the truth, it’s catchy and I find myself randomly singing it with passion. Especially now that I know what “the chair” is.

This as an autobiographical song. He had moved to LA to audition for the part of Lenny Bruce in a movie. He submerged himself into the dark character and when he didn’t get the part became depressed. The “chair” refers to the psychologist he was seeing. This is of my all time favorite songs❤️❤️❤️
I've never seen anyone not get emotional listening to this song

Really? I just did a quick Google… I had no idea he wrote “I’m a believer”. I love that song! I haven’t heard of the other songs he wrote for them. Amazing, good on him.

@@inbedwithmovies3228 He had nothing to do with _The Monkees,_ but he did write songs for other artists, which is something the music industry does to this day. Lionel Richie wrote "Lady" for Kenny Rogers, but he in no way "made" _Kenny Rogers._
Cracklin' Rosie is another ear worm when you feel like having one stuck in your head 😁
This song really hit home to me, I moved countries and though where I live now is lovely, it's not "home" but "home" doesn't feel like home anymore

This is a superb song, if you have autism like i do, these lyrics actually hit right home as daft as it seems.
You should put the music reaction and film reactions on different channels
Give "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show" a listen. I'm surprised Mike Flanagan left that one out of Midnight Mass. Is a description of a a towns reaction to a popular traveling preacher who goes from town to town where he gives sermons in his big circus tent. It's not a full narrative or anything, don't expect miracles or any resolution to a story, just basically "come on kids, Brother Love is in town, let's go see the the show" followed by a brief physical description and a short example of his message. Unfortunately it has taken you longer to read this comment than the length of the song.
