Trevor in the house!!!!!
Love that Dude👊
Rudy is like an ambassador between Matt and his ex employees. I almost want to get hired and fired by Matt to try to find out what’s going on.😂
Hello Trevor!
Trevor, Tucker and George have a channel. Misadventure Lab
@@jkollar109 yup….and I kinda like that misfit combo of Adventure…a lot…but seeing ole Trev with Rudy…was like I smile when. I see RAD…Rudy with MOAB Matt… peeps Grow…but blood and non blood…that right there is Fam…I hope we see them put all obstacles behind them…the best in the future…and give all of US a great collaboration one day. I don’t see how any of them could do what they do now without the others at the start, and that deserves respect and the Best Wishes to all on their New Adventures 👊🇺🇸👊
Love seeing Trevor... 😊 Rudy you're so calm.. love you guys
Is Trevor no longer at Matts?
TREVORRRRRRRR!!!!
Janelle & Higgins having much fun
it's nice to see trevor from @Mislabadventure on this channel.
Always good to see Trevor pop in on your vids Rudy ! 👍👍
I think the lesson is make sure the vehicle is running properly before you make the long expensive drive for dyno time... 🙂
No kidding
It has to be tuned to drive it.
@@strohdog1I believe he means mechanically.
This stuff is the whole point of test and tune they’re figuring out what needs fixing
@@strohdog1 The dyno gets the most power out of the engine by tweaking the tune, it was tuned enough before they left to make sure it actually shifted, they did not even drive it across the parking lot before loading it up.
Love seeing Trevor...
Trevor! I didn't know his name! Always saw him on matts channel. Wondered what happened to him, why's he never on there anymore?
@@ajm6875he either quit or was fired. In either situation it couldn't of been on good terms as nothing was ever said about it.
It's often something regarding pay. Add in the part where the UA-cam channel is likely making some money and a lot of the time one of the people who work somewhere prior to youtube but ends up on every video but feel they should benefit from some of the financial parts of the youtube channel and then when it doesn't go that way a split ends up happening.
That's speculating but tends to be what normally happens when employees are in the videos but don't get any part of the benefit of those videos going into their pocket. Money drives a lot of people apart. It happened to myself and my brother and sister in law. They didn't appreciate being held accountable by myself learning how they had been screwing me for a couple years I became the bad guy for telling them to make it right. They chose that I was no longer needed running their business...went from 4grand a day to 1k-1500 at the best. Would've been cheaper had they made things right especially since they tried saying "we didn't realize you were being screwed over" but fired me once I brought it up...
I first raced in the Baja 1000 in 1986, and damn it, it's super addictive. Either on my own, or with other teams, I've participated in the race on some level during most 1000s since. My dos centavos regarding the Mil, for what it's worth:
- You will have fun, but it will be a LOT more fun a week or two after the event. This will make sense later.
- Prepare as much as you can, make many contingency plans. Whatever you do, it won't be enough, but that's not your fault.
- There are many elements of the race out of your control, but control what you can (eg planning, prep, team meetings, etc.).
- Something will likely go sideways during the race -- don't get mad, just fix the problem and push on, that's racing.
- Get used to saying "that's racing" a lot.
- The guys chasing the race truck have the most dangerous job out there -- they will be driving on a narrow Highway 1 in the dark (in your class, you may be driving at night twice), there's livestock on the highway, semi trucks which sometimes occupy a little more than their lane, etc. Be super cautious day and night.
- During the race, sleep and eat whenever you can. Goes without saying, no drugs or alcohol.
- The rocks and dirt of the Baja peninsula can eat you alive -- you will understand what that means in three weeks.
- The people of Baja are truely amazing. If there are locals around where your race truck breaks down or goes on the roof, they'll likely want to help in some way. Some of those guys are super mechanics.
- Visit RaceDezert.com and track down Bob Bower's "What About You?" -- an eye-opening discussion about safety during the Baja 1000. Share it with your team mates.
- Carry your passport ON YOU. If there is an emergency and you need to be flown to the US, you will need a passport, not negotiable.
- After the race, you will have a year's worth of stories.
- We'll be spectating at RM205.73 where the course skirts around the inlet -- we'll be rooting for the #4469 Jeep. Buena Suerte.
We locals call it Chulajuana. I love the Baja and hope you will too! Great to get a glimpse of Janelle in the video!
Racing Baja had always been one of those absurd bucket list items I've had, and now I can watch you do it instead. Jeep looks amazing, BTW, good luck
Rudy is back and giving us more of what we need for speed, and gears,
Wow 😳
Racing is a big jump, that was the track Holly was sliding down,
Take care and no extra movements, forward momentum only.❤🎉😂
Janelle it's been to long. Very good 2 c U !!!!!
Just I was thinking "mehn, this would be a nice project to get the Mis Adventure Lab team involved", then Trevor entered the frame!
Literally in Chula Vista watching your video. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
Awesome Rudy! It's great that your getting out there and giving the racing a go!
the patina on that Corvair you snatched up is AMAZING!
Actually i think he has had it for a while. I remember seeing him drive it, or one like it, several years ago on Matt's Off Road.
It’s good seeing Trevor again.
Trevor sighting @4:27! Janelle sighting @5:20!
Loved the Janelle cameo! Need more. 🤙
This is another reason why I love old school motors.. no electronics to go wrong or stop ya.... Good luck with it Rudy and stay safe.
Exactly.
I raced Baja for over 10 years in Stock Mini class. Just plan on finishing in the allotted time and you will be a winner of sorts. Do a lot of prerunning and prepare for 3 days straight of no sleep. Seriously!
Baja racing looks like a blast. Can't wait to see it.
Tacos el Gordo is one of my favorite stands; every time I am in Vegas, it is a must-visit place.
Trevor and Tim and Tucker used to work for Matt's off road
“Baja” 😮epic high speed destroyer of men and equipment ✌️👍🇺🇸
Very ambitious, and hard work! My father raced Baja three times; the last time when he was 72! Can't wait to see the videos of you and your team! Stay Safe! Lived in San Diego for 70 years. Chula Vista used to be a small suburb of a few thousand people and farms!
Lucky!! Have fun racing the 1000! It will be a long one!
Tim used to be with MORR?
Most definitely
Leave your cap bolts in the 2 lower holes and it'll help catch the diff when prying it out.
I hope you are going with a team that has done it before… not sure I would do this year’s 1300 mile race without some serious experience with me and a lot of pre-running prep. Good luck to you and your team!
Two of the guys on our team have been drivers for past race teams, we’re sharing notes with another larger trophy truck team. And I’m not expecting us to go down there and absolutely destroy Baja our first year. But if we did manage to finish, I would be ecstatic!
I think they shouldn't leave the house. To dangerous
Good to hear, definietly the most extreme year to start lol. I volunteer to pit for the Potts Racing trophy truck team. We won’t be at the 1000 this year but should be back next year for the score series
Nice, Rudy!! After seeing his latest performance in the mini Jeep, I wouldn't let Trevor drive THAT Jeep! 😂
2:16 that was Fantastic.
Don’t you just love it when Trevor sneaks into the frame!
Rudy- an easy way to get the carrier out is to put the pry bar in to prevent it from turning, and rotate the pinion / yoke. It should just walk the center section right out and you can prevent it from popping loose and falling.
TREVOR! Great to see him again. Kool rig. Thanks for sharing.
Rudy I am looking forward to the videos on the baja jeep for sure
I know you will do really well and definitely surprise people with your driving skills
Do you have the skills to drive the Baja Rudy ???
Cuz it's a whole new animal !!!!
I guess we'll see ya there n find out !!!!!
Setting realistic expectations for his first experience will be key to finding success. Then driving within his limits will ensure he comes back in one piece. You ain't gonna go down there and drive away with a win as everyone knows that race eats Drivers and Rides ALIVE.
FYI, when you are rolling through Vegas there is a Tacos El Gordo right next to TownSquare ( Las Vegas Boulevard ( Sunset ) at the junction of I-15 and the 215 Beltway )
Good morning from Hurricane. Been here couple months, trail hero and takeover good luck down Mexico NORRA cool deal
Is that Tim from early MORR days?
Yes
I really appreciate the updates on Holly. There's nothing like having a teammate like you that gets the information out to the fans 🤔🤣🤟
Great to see Trevor! :)
Tacos El Gordo is also in vegas.....all over. That's where we go when visiting our son and family. Get ahold of me next time you go to Cali. I spent 50 years living there and my entire family is foodies. And I also can cook most things because of that. But now I'm in Payson not too far from Ben
Long drives, some testing and fixin. Fun drive back.
Holy Cow i just seen Trevor so good seeing him!! im excited for this!!
I think driving with a base tune and testing everything would have been a wiser choice. Most computers will self tune and keep in safe limits and you could drive and rock crawl etc.
I hope you have beefed up the trackbar link's, man Rory has fixed alot of those recently.
Test, abuse, break and fix, you have to find the weak links 😀 before the race. Good luck with Baja, sounds like an awesome experience.
You can lock the carrier with a pry bar and turn the pinion and it will push the carrier out
Whaaaat! Dude me too, hopefully see you there
I keep my eye out 👀
TREVOR!!! wow havent seen him in awhile
Looks fun! I hope you guys get the bugs out in time. Stay safe!
Great to see Trevor!!!! Best of luck!!!
That place is only about 2 miles from me. But that's a long way to travel for a dyno!
The radcharger might qualify for in a vintage class in baja 1000. Check it out
I would like to point out that I have been watching your channel and Matts off road since you started and I very much enjoy it as I am disabled now, but the problem is You tube will not allow me to watch your or other channels whilst of have an add blocker on so I am sorry to say unless you tube change their policy I will be saying goodbye. regards and best wishes for the future. 😞
Australian fuel regulator....TREVOR!!!!
Omg! That is ONE HAWT RACE JEEP!! Wow!!!! I'm seriously DROOLING! Please dont tell Hollie and Nessie!! Shhh! Lol
Oh and Hi Mr Higgins!!!
The race jeep looks sick but seeing Trevor, even SICKER!!!!!! Love the channel and content Rudy, keep it up bro
So painful when dyno sessions don't pan out
For a homemade rig where you missed 1/2 the welds. 65 is screaming!
Rudy if you want a tour of Ensenada when you pass here, i am your Man, hope you and your team do well, love your dad and family, best regards
If you have to dyno it again you could bring it to where Paul from Fab Rats brought his FJ. Be closer than SD at least.
Ram charger gives off late 90s BigFoot vibes. Monster Jam Ram.
I wish I'd known you were coming my way....I live in San Diego, I'd come and brought ya'll some lunch or something. anyways nice seeing you out this way.
I would not recommend driving the Baja 1000 as my first race. I would get my feet wet in a race in one of the shorter races in California or Nevada. Good luck, and be careful!
Get as much preruns as possible ! Good luck and this is going to be fun following!
Synergy is most definitely the breakfast of champions! Excited to see you take on the Baja!
Just saw you on the stage!!! Gl on Thursday start!
There are all sorts of fantastic little taco shops all over San Diego, mostly because they are staffed by people who know how the food is supposed to taste: Like their grandmother made it. That's one of my favorite things about living in San Diego County.
The only thing I would suggest is making sure that air filter sucking clean because if you’re behind a bunch of people your your in dirty air well you know what happens after that losing horse ponies?
We’re going to try our best, and we’re changing it at every pit stop
Glad not to see the missing person.. time to move on
Jeep is looking good Rudy. Like every build, there’s Always the chasing them Gremlins! Good luck. 😎🤙
Bro that was an awesome video. So not what i was expecting. That jeep is freaking SWEET!!! Lets go Rudy!!!!
We ran the 1000 in 1970, in a fiberglass bodied , VW powered dune buggy. Not so complicated and a lot of fun .
When big money and sponsors got involved that ended the fun .
We were San Diego natives and surfed Baja all the time . No cartels in those days and Tijuana and Baja were pretty and safer .
Rudy, the BaJa 1000 should be an excellent challenge for you. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.
AWESOME!.... GOOD LUCK!
Oh wow.. some old faces Tim and Trevor. Have seem them an a long time.
Oh what a fun adventure that will be. Have fun in Baja 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I wondered where Trevor was. ? Is this the first time they built a race jeep? It looks good. Lol
Very Cool. You where in my backyard. Good luck on the build and glad to see Rudy
Bad slot for those shock reservoir because of the heat under the hood!
Sooo what happened with the Dyno test? You left us hanging!😢
Wow that race Jeep looks badass .... 😈 👿 BUT, will it survive what is clearly one of the harshest races known to man and machines? Good Luck boys and girls .....
Hey it's Trevor! I wondered what happened to him!
Well, that’s a bummer Rudy. He went to all that trouble to go all the way to California sounds like for nothing. I hope you guys have a really good solid team behind you when you take on the Baja. Because it can eat your financial lunch in no time flat. Furthermore, it can also kill you. Yes, I mean that like in dead.
Easier way to remove carrier is to put a boxed end wrench on ring gear bolt at top and pry bottom out.
Do away with the box for transmissions and just do a manual valve body will save you so much headache
Jacked up really high suspension and 80mph on the highway. What could possibly go wrong? Swedish moose car test comes to mind (Sweden tests what happens if a car driver tries to avoid a moose running out in to the road unexpectedly as part of its safety tests). Good roll cage and safety harness is essential.
Which the Ramcharger has!
Haven't you watched the channel?
@@mahbriggs Yes, just pointing out that it increases the risk of it happening, the faster you go. I would guess Rudy would rather not roll it in the first place. Where I live you have a high probability of suddenly meeting something big in the road (both me and my dad have wrecked a car this way). A roll cage is one thing, rolling a truck at 80 is not fun.
Love you program...from Cape Town, South Africa
I thought Rudy was cool . Then he shows up with a jeep. I’ll still watch the channel 😜😎❤
Great to see Trevor!
Good morning Rudy!!
I’m glad your still here grinding Rudy
Your not your dad. Your unique and your channel is pure and and awesome in its own way
I get a throwback feel with you and trevor being there
I wish you’d get tucker to jump off the UA-cam cliff on his own
I bet he’s a hoot to follow around
Sry trevor I put the wrong name originally. Lol I don’t like tucker as much. No. But I’m happy to see you. Plz forgive my mistake
You must be a real fan of Trevor that you call him Tucker
That's Trevor and he does have a youtube channel now @MisAdventureLab
@@koekum2142 my god you can’t make a mistake these days
I’m sorry Karen’s
I’ll do better next time. Thank you for my public shaming
@brentswallers7905 just look up what Karen means and you will see that the only one here reacting like a Karen has a name that starts with brentwall and ends with 905. If you put some effort in it I think you might be able to solve this puzzle
@@koekum2142
You are special. If you want to continue this in private and not on these fine peoples page
I’d love to have you over to read scripture and lay hands on you
We can define what I mean by you being a Karen
Have a blessed day
Looks to me like there are some lucky guys going down to Baja to race!! I'll wager it's going to be an awesome trip!!! If you find a short old man in your equipment someplace.... just ignore him 😀
There's a tacos el gordo here in vegas! Its of i15 and Cheyenne!
Then find you a 440 interceptor motor rebuild it. Feel inject it and change the games. In your rear ends, you have all the horrors power. You want every gets stuck and you'll have one monster rig.
Well.. Could've at-least drove it down the road before towing it to a dyno. >.>
looking forward to your first baja race and the in's and out's of being there
Good luck Rudy!!!✌🐢
Welcome to Baja California, Mexico guys 👌, I'll look for you at contingency to say hi 👍
That’s awesome, best of luck!
