Sorry to ruin your day, but one of the authors for black librarie (I forget which) said something along the lines of its a laughable idea that Ferrus was the leader of the legion of the damned and his ghost form was a one time thing.
@@JJ-he6zgWell, BL authors contradict each other all the time and are just as if not more prone to coming up with dumb shit rather than good. So, to the binit goes
I subscribe to the idea that the Legion of the Damned are dead Space Marines with such devotion and loyalty to the Emperor that Big E turns them into his Angels beyond death and when a Legionary is spotted on two separate planets across the universe at the same time it is the same Legionary from past, present or future.
then why wouldn't Custodes or Guardsmen be included between them? You could give the excuse that the guardsmen are weak and would be a waste of "resources" but then there would be no excuse to not have Custodes who are both loyal and powerful.
@@ruyman90 Possibly because it might be seen as extreme disrespect, both by the Emperor and the Custodes themselves. The Custodes are one of the only organizations in the galaxy who still know and believe in the Imperial Truth. Being twisted by Chaos, even through the Emperor's own will, might read as a grave insult to their loyalty, especially considering they weren't even comfortable with the Grey Knights and Primarchs intentionally being made psykers. Also, a lot of them were the Emperor's confidantes and buddies, though they're in the minority in the modern day. Violating their souls even in death would be an extreme abuse of their trust.
My personal favorite is how the Headless Corpse of Ferrus Manus leads them. GW said that every Primarch will return in some way. and The Horseless Headless HorseMan-us is my favorite
What I love is: they've leaned into this with the Dark Imperium series - Guilliman is said by Chaos to be cutting through the warp and through intense warp storms straight to his target, and it's strongly implied it's either Guilliman's own nascent divinity (as a Son of the Emperor) or Big E himself looking at that part of the Crusade and helping. Which to me seems to imply that Big E is getting as part of his "pantheon" that he can cut through the schemes and lies of the other chaos gods - he is the Supreme Navigator, who cannot be misled or waylaid. Which in turn feels like it's a natural outgrowth of the universe-wide belief that the Emperor Protects - in order to protect you, he has to be able to reach you. SO people, by believing that the Emperor could cut through any storm or any obstacle to come help them, may very well have made it into truth.
A point of emphasis: As I recall, machine spirits don't just not want to talk about the Legion, they straight up stop working in the Legion's presence. The tech priest needs to talk to your tank because your tank is frozen in fear. Fortunately, this effect extends to hostile machine spirits as well.
@@ElGrabnar Big E was still in hiding at the time, so I doubt it. The Men of Iron were defeated by scrapcode, with the heavy implication that it was a human-xeno joint effort.

It was covered in the Heresy books that Space Marines are not strictly physical things. During the development of his Astartes specific super weapon, Basilio Fo had to go back and rework the chemical agents with esoteric information found in Malcador's study, so that the super weapon could also target and destroy the souls of the Astartes because according to Fo destroying them physically would not be sufficient

Space Marine 1 is like a Gears game. Probably the best comparison I can come up with. I would say that they're the closest emulation of the original space marines as they are what the Emperor knew.
Dynasty Warriors sounds like the games you were trying to come up with. Also as a Nids player, I also absolutely ADORE the swarms of Gargoyles flying around in the SM2 trailers. It looks so damn cool!
Koda, when you said you haven't seen the godfather you should have put the family guy clip of Peter admitting he didn't like the godfather. "It insists upon itself, Lois."

No, most of them not. Higher levels of psyker powers are very rare and they are too dangerous to themselves to live to adulthood without supervision on a general rule. Golden throne receives either weak willed, or too dangerous to train psykers. Others will either do astropathy, or be train for battle uses in different organisations of imperium.
The death of the emperor has to happen, only it will be like a ascending god moment that I wish would poke another warp hole in the galaxy. Then it would be so sick if it was called "THE EYE OF TERRA" and the galaxy would form into a wonky ying-yang symbol.

Celestial Lions next? Also, side note: Francis Ford Coppola is Nicholas Cage's uncle, and Cage's original last name is indeed Coppola. He changed it so he could get jobs in Hollywood on his own merits, rather than via nepotism. The name Cage says alot about Nic's geekdom - it's taken from two sources - Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat, and Marvel character Luke Cage. He also took that role in Ghost Rider because he's a massive fan of the character. He has a large Ghost Rider tattoo that the makeup department had to cover up for the role. 🙂 As for F F Coppola films, besides The Godfather, he also made book-accurate adaptations of both Frankenstein and Dracula titled "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" and "Bram Stoker's Dracula". Both are insanely good!
