I have one of these they are great...pros..two amps at once..great sounding amps. Multiple mic and placements. Put effects anywhere in any path..multiplies. Cons..pitchshifter isn't the best..volume control on your guitar doesn't do much in the way of "cleaning" up the amp drive. One weird note ..playing around with the things like mandolin or acoustic sims...is very wild. Telephone effect as well

I got my Ampero II Stomp a few months ago and am really impressed. Also have the MIDI controller and Wah. I admire a lot of Japanese products like BOSS, but these latest Chinese creations from Hotone and some others are excellent!

Use a Beat Buddy with it. It has MIDI. But, you can do most function with out a midi controller. Having separate sources gives you better mixing abilities.

I am considering getting one. The amp modeling is cool, but I intend to use it for fx. I want to use the fx loop feature with my pedal board stereo fx. I want to be able to use fx loop and any additional time based fx in parallel. I am sure the amp stuff would come in handy. I use the Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 with my Amp to drive stereo fx. I use stereo Two Notes Torpedo Cab M IR boxes. I have a Rocktron MIDI Mate controller. It is easy to configure to use the midi on the Ampero 2. Really liked your playing on this demo.

How to connect it to your existing amp and cab if you just want to use it as an effects box ( compressor, distortion, auto wah, modulation, delay and reverb) . Not using the built in anp or cab sims. 2. How to connect it to a powered FRFR speaker. Using everything in the unit, amp sim, effects and cab sim.

Just got it. Like the tones but the organization (getting around in/out of patches) seems poorly thought out. Also, no drums and loop and overdub only allows one tone. Not good. I like a clean and a dirty overdub. If I put my Boss Looper pedal in front of this, would that change anything?
Nice. But why isn't there a ampero II with more footswitches =p I'm so confused, a bigger model. I know you can use Ampero Control but its a bit of a bummer for live use to not have it in one unit.

@@im58woody I purchased the Ampero 2, and though it took me a while, I have come up with a pretty great acoustic patch. I had to use one of the IRs from the Worship Tutorials Holy Grail pack. I just wasn't getting what I wanted from the included IRs. I'll probably try some other brand IRs at some point too. The Ampero 2's acoustic preamp is a little unique in it's usage but after reading the manual for the AER Colourizer preamp I got it sounding pretty good. I find that a lot of the patches on the Ampero have too much high end added. This is especially true of the acoustic patches. I have yet to play any gigs with it but am looking forward to it.

I have a Headrush MX5 now and I have similar problems with the acoustic properties. It sounds great with my electric but I am primarily a acoustic guitar player. I have no experience with the press but it should be the same with most expression pedals. You have to look into the global..controls EXP/CTRL FUNC allows you to set up the working mode of EXP/CTRL jack and the functions of external footswitches. Available selections are EXP (expression pedal), Single FS (single footswitch controller) and Dual FS (dual footswitch controller), default is set to EXP.

I wonder about the FX loop. It says Stereo FX Loop, but its a single jack in and out.. FX out I can plug in to two amps, but I think I would break amps if I plug both amps to FX return. So how to work on that because I would like to try 4cm with two amps at once, and some of these pedal boards allow this.

Very impressive! I don't know which, between Ampero Stomp II and Headrush Gigboard would be better, more versatile and useful for a studio/live use! What do you think about it, Jon?
@@flaviocomignano It's just the plain better. The amps sound better/more realistic and so do stock cabs. Check out Leo Gibson's videos for comparison of the Headrush and Ampero (even the previous models) and you will see that their modeling tech is more accurate than what Headrush has. All Headrush products have identical DSP tech/specs, which is cool until you realize that your brand new MX5 has already reached full potential. Even after 4 years of support, it still has less amp models than all its competitors and the few amps it has somehow sound worse too. It's not going to get better. The only edge I would give to the Headrush is the Scene and Gapless switching feature, both of which I could see being very useful for live use. I've heard comments that this may be coming to the Ampero II in the future as well, but we'll see.
@@RicHSAD2 Thanks for this comment! I have a MX5 and I am really having a tough time with using for both electric and acoustic guitars. Electric sounds good but the acoustic suffers despite performing many tweaks. I will be looking for one soon.
Hello Jon! Could you (or someone else) explain why delay / reverb / other modulation effects are placed AFTER Cabinet? In traditional, analog way the speaker is the last element of the chain. Why in digital simulations there is such difference - I saw it many times in many videos and built-in patches. Thanks! Your videos are brilliant! :D
Not only in digital simulations, These days they are amps with dedicated effects send and return. We patch mostly time based effects thru these because it is the truest representation after the preamp and before the speakers.✌🤓!!

you will need a midi cable to connect to your midi controller. And an app to set up your midi controller.

I wonder about the FX loop. It says Stereo FX Loop, but its a single jack in and out.. FX out I can plug in to two amps, but I think I would break amps if I plug both amps to FX return. So how to work on that because I would like to try 4cm with two amps at once, and some of these pedal boards allow this.

I have both the MX5 and the Ampero II. The Ampero sounds much better and there's a lot more variety.

@@flaviocomignano It's just the plain better. The amps sound better/more realistic and so do stock cabs. Check out Leo Gibson's videos for comparison of the Headrush and Ampero (even the previous models) and you will see that their modeling tech is more accurate than what Headrush has. All Headrush products have identical DSP tech/specs, which is cool until you realize that your brand new MX5 has already reached full potential. Even after 4 years of support, it still has less amp models than all its competitors and the few amps it has somehow sound worse too. It's not going to get better. The only edge I would give to the Headrush is the Scene and Gapless switching feature, both of which I could see being very useful for live use. I've heard comments that this may be coming to the Ampero II in the future as well, but we'll see.
@@RicHSAD2 Thanks for this comment! I have a MX5 and I am really having a tough time with using for both electric and acoustic guitars. Electric sounds good but the acoustic suffers despite performing many tweaks. I will be looking for one soon.
Hello Jon! Could you (or someone else) explain why delay / reverb / other modulation effects are placed AFTER Cabinet? In traditional, analog way the speaker is the last element of the chain. Why in digital simulations there is such difference - I saw it many times in many videos and built-in patches. Thanks! Your videos are brilliant! :D
Not only in digital simulations, These days they are amps with dedicated effects send and return. We patch mostly time based effects thru these because it is the truest representation after the preamp and before the speakers.✌🤓!!
