- The plaintiff says the defendant is her former live-in lover and he owes her for half the bills, so she’s suing. The defendant claims he paid his half of the bills and says his ex is only suing because she’s jealous he has a new baby with a younger woman.

This man was convicted of a serious weapons crime. You cannot trust anything that comes out of his mouth. Coming out of prison and buying a house means one of two things. Either he is lying about about the house, or he had a big stash of cash from crimes buried somewhere. After all, banks are not lining up to offer mortgages to people who have just spent several years in prison, and it is hard for someone in prison to keep a house.
She didn't deny the fact he had a house. He's just not an intelligent man, and it sounds like she's using that fact against him. She missed paying many of the bills, clearly putting money towards something else. Lesson is. Never Give anyone financial control of bills. Get receipts for all the money you give. Otherwise people will lie in court and get what they want. I think she was full of shit. And he was just dumb.

She is very irresponsible. How do you hurry up and move in with a dude you've just met and *KNOW* has just been released from *FEDERAL PRISON* on trading firearms???????? He claimed he did a 15-year bid, so he is likely institutionalized. How does a responsible and loving mother bring that kind of elements around her child *AND SO SOON AFTER MEETING HIM* ???? She should not have expected anything different from him than to get someone else pregnant and default on the bills... He has no assets, no car, home (and I don't believe that scenario about him "owning" a house-- it made no sense...).

Not really I've known alot of people that may have sold their home and moved into something cheaper. It could be loss of income, downgrading, etc. Nothing is abnormal about that.

Who proceeds to get assistance from the government or forces it from their baby daddy. The children of that group are very likely to end up in prison, particularly if the child is a boy. Convict on probation… She may be a beautiful woman but moving someone who has been in prison with her 11 year old son she has rocks in place of her brain. Someone convicted of weapons offenses is not only someone who can never be trusted, he is always a risk for violence for both herself and her son. A 15 year prison sentence is a huge statement that he is dishonest and has no moral compass. She can take a risk for herself, but she has no right to visit that mistake on her son.

At that age you want them to have role models who have a good education and a profession. A role model who proves through his actions that he not only knows right from wrong, but who works hard to always do the right thing and understands what a conscience is so that he can communicate good values to the boy. A man who takes care of himself and presents himself well. A man who always tells the truth. This ex-con is none of these things. He is simply a scruffy criminal who lies to get what he wants.

Even in relationships u text so start texting just for your own records. Hopefully u don't need it later for court but it's good to have for memory purposes more than anything. Me and my significant other can't even remember who paid for dinner the previous Fri so it's always good to have references and worse case scenario...proof in court.

I totally get what you are saying. I lived on my own and it was great. But then I married the one man who changed that. I figure if you are living with me than you will be married to me. I wasn't about to let someone move in easily. I've been married for 17 years. Its been great overall. We each have our own space, our own cave. I don't understand when men are not allowed to have their own space. My husband cooks, does some of the cleaning and laundry. We are equals.

Ladies, for those of you who can stand living with men, I applaud you. I just couldn't do it. They are too much work. The cooking, cleaning, laundry, whining, and constant demands I will not put up with. That is why my boyfriends and I have always lived in separate residences, with the occasional overnight visit, but after one day he has to go. That is my rule. My home is my sanctuary. I refuse to be a maid and live in booty who foots half the bills.

This is why I've always advised men to not move in with a woman. In fact it's not a good idea to move in with anyone because living alone will retain your sanity. Life is way too short to be dealing with anyone's nonsense. But women love to deal with men in jail or getting out of jail. In this case the defendant was 15 years out of federal prison when she made the brilliant decision to get with him. Smh
He lived with her on purpose to have a sucker to foot half the bills. If a man expected me to pay half the bills that would be fine, BUT in return he would get treated like the roommate that he is: no cooking for him, no cleaning up after him, no doing his laundry, no loaning him money, no using my car, and definitely no sex. I will go my way and he can go his.

Good advice Harvey! Tisdale was fortunate enough to have enough evidence to back her claim. This guy was caught in a lie over the security deposit and that hurt his credibility. I didn't believe anything from the defendant. Could have easily wat bad for Tisdale.

They remind me of my brother and his girlfriends who would just waste money on things they didn't need, instead of paying their bills, especially rent. You don't go buy presents for your daughter and grandchild, and not pay your rent. You don't buy patio furniture or house furniture instead of paying your rent! It's common sense! You pay your rent and bills first, especially things that you need, and then you use the leftover money to make any additional purchases. And if you don't have the money to get new furniture, and pay it right out, then get it secondhand. There is very nice second hand furniture out there. And DO NOT purchase unnecessary things on payment plans! The interest makes it WAY too expensive. Put money away until you can buy it right out.

He did his time and is still seen as a criminal in everyone’s eyes. Him being a felon has nothing to do with the case. Everyone makes mistakes unfortunately this country has a system that capitalizes on those mistakes and then generate profit from them.
