Ultimately I hope the new elite team feels and looks different to the base DRG dwarves, and I hope the music can live up to the legacy of Sophus Alf Agerbæk-Larsen.
My main concern with the "upgrading" portion of the game, is that you can "take" something from another player. DRG has (in my opinion) one of the nicest and friendliest communities of any game I've played before, and the main reason for this is because almost everything is shared amongst all of the dwarves. When you collect anything, either everyone gets a piece (minerals) or everyone can still pick it up (lost armor). the exception, and the the only time I ever see toxicity in the game, is when resupplys are involved. Even if it's best for the team, or even detrimental, someone taking 2 resupplys, unless EVERY member agrees, will usually cause issues. Building the core progression around "taking" something that someone else might want, will inevitably lead to clashes and anger among people who are supposed to be allies My suggestion, if you still want team work involved, would be for every player to be given 2 PRIVATE options on the upgrade screen, like poker cards. At any point, players can "fold" cards, either one or both, to allow other players to pick them from the "table". And when they select an option, they toss their unpicked choice into a pool thay other players may choose from. So if one of your options is very good for you, and the other is very good for your ally, it is an easy choice to pick your "card". If one choice is acceptable, and one is no good, you could toss one of your "cards" into the player pool and see if another person takes it. When they do, their 2 cards are now thrown into the table for you to select from. If none of your cards sre good for you, you can "fold", throwing both cards into the pool, and wait for other players to make tiehr selections, and pick from the remains at that point. So for every round of upgrades, with 4 players, there are 8 total upgrades, that can be kept hidden or shared, as the players see fit. I feel like a method like this will make upgrading a fun game, and also remove a good bix of toxcicity, as being shown an upgrade you desperately want, and then having it snatched away from you, is much more infuriating than seeing upgrades that you have every opportunity to get As a third note, you could even have a small, limited character, "build description" that players can type out from the upgrade screen or pause menu, letting other players know beforehand what kind of build each player is going for, that can be adjusted as the game goes on. So a player can set their from the beginning as "mk2 or stubby", indicating the weapons they want. Then, they can adjust it as the game goes on to something like "critical and slow" or "aoe elemental" and so on and so forth, so players can read these, and know in advance to maybe not try to build the same as another player. I do really like the teamwork and sharing aspects you are going for, but I worry that the current set up will cause a lot of unnecessary conflict that could be avoided by slightly tweaking the formula

I really love deep rock galactic and making it into a rouge like sounds like an amazing idea I just hope that we can see some new weapons and some old ones in this new game. Rock and Stone!
Hope you guys have crossplay this time because all these years me and my friends still can’t play deep rock galactic together because I have windows version and they have steam version and no matter how many times I asked or saw people ask you about it you ignored us.
They don’t care about you or me. They only care about the people who send them money and glaze them constantly on social media. Since you spoke out, you’re automatically blacklisted in their eyes.
They ignore you because it’s physically impossible and they’ve stated that many times. I don’t know the exact details because I’m not a developer but I would trust their word on it.
I'm excited! There's a bunch of wild stuff I always wanted to see in DRG but would realistically have been too far out for the identity and integrity of the game. Pumped to see a new hub area too.
Wanting to mention it early in development for anyone on the team who might read this, please add more accessibility options for motion sickness for Rogue Core that the base game is still severely lacking. Even just from the trailer I can tell its going to be an issue once again and I have zero clue how long before modding can be used to soften the blow. I have to use mods to get rid of most of the headbobbing/screenshaking effects in the base game just so I don't get sick while playing from things like the drop pod or environmental effects, but there are also issues presumably built into the animations themselves that cause unnatural movements of the camera with every rock and stone, reload, firing pattern, etc that I have yet to see a single mod be able to fix. A good example of this is the Thunderhead cannon on Gunner, where I can only even use it with a poison or mortar build for extremely slow manually clicking gameplay, with very low full auto tolerance because of just how much kick and recoil and movement it has. I can't even stand the camera movements on the reload and legitimately have to use Born Ready to reload it. Which sucks especially because conceptually I love this weapon and its probably one of my favorites even though I can barely use it as intended. Also as a side suggestion, adding an option to move the recoil from the camera itself to a moving crosshair to compensate for this issue would be amazing and has been a concept not many Devs have looked at. The only game I can even think of that does something similar from what I hear is Counter Strike 2, but I never actually played it for myself so its hard to say. Regardless, addressing issues like this (and clearing up my mod space) would be super useful not just for me but for others who deal with issues like this. I've unfortunately known a number of people over the years who had to refund the game because of this issue. Please and thank you, rock and stone.
So happy to hear more and new classes.. 5+?? I wouldnt mind the current 4 DRG classes and their color themes be added laater on. But Im just very reliefed it seems ORANGE and PURPLE finally be for two of the new ones. Spotter and Guarduan. My younger siblings would love it ( and me )! Its their favorite colors😂 I just hope tge 6 main color wheel colors of: Blue, Yellow, Red, Orange, Purple and Green are safely locked in. Noticed though around the frame around the dwarfs portraits? Thats the indicator. White - ?? Yellow - ?? Orange - Spotter Purple - Guardian Recurring and other colors for class color theme. Red - Blue - Green - Teal - Magenta - Amber - Grey - Black - Brown - Potentiale, opportunitues! Rogue Core classes seem to still be unique and different but not AS deep but more adaptable snd we are still? seemingly max 4 dwarfs per game session Also the no healer, tank, brawler mentality for new classes regarding DRG seems more relaxed for RC. Great! The dwarf team in RC ARE spec-ops after all, they need to adapt to thus much more dangerous prospect and missions than their combat miner brethren⛏️⚒️🛠 Contentgaters of the dark side of DRG community will be mad and spite but thats a good thing😂
I personally think Ellis looks a little too much like rival tech. I know this isn’t final but I just think it looks too sleek and grey. In my head I was thinking Bosco but big. That’s just me though. sounds quite commital. how long are missions? I have an idea: look at wow hardcore. how about its ~20mins long missions where you keep your equipment until you die. But you could switch teammates between missions, or just resume your run another day, on your own, without being bound to teammates. Maybe at take at extraction shooters, but only pve.

I can’t wait for rogue core (please console release alongside, or at least eventually) Love base deep rock galactic, I’m already in love with both of these games. But I can’t stress this enough, and you as a whole dev team most likely already understand this. DON’T SUPPORT ONE MORE THAN THE OTHER. I’m fine with rogue core having priority for now, it’s in development after all, and drg is already a very much fleshed out game. But I simply can’t not say it, don’t let one die for the other. Once rogue core is planted in the ground and can then progress through game updates rather than testings and beta launches, please just give it the same support as drg, and if it needs it on launch, give it a little more than drg. But having og drg die for new rogue core will be a big hurt, for everyone. But we can’t have rogue core fall over dead out the door either. This is just a player’s thought on working on two games at once, I’ve never done so, and you’re an entire dev team so I can assume you already have these mindsets and stand points, but I can’t not want to support the game and the team behind it, I just don’t want to see drg fall. I’m a miner. I’m a dwarf. I dig for my family, my brothers, my higher ups, and the world. For rock and stone, brothers. For place and holder, developers.

Yeah I hope they consider this, would be cool if they had 2 optional modes. One where duplicates are allowed, and one where not allowed but the buffs are more powerful? That would be cool, gives incentive for coordination but doesn't force you into it if there could be potential issues.
honestly I think co-op games with mechanics like this will have toxicity no matter what. Just try to convince your friends to purchase the game or get some new ones and play with them. This fixes the issue of toxicity
We don’t exactly how well it’ll work until testing starts, and neither do they, which is why testing is a thing. If that system doesn’t work I can guarantee it’ll be changed.
@@shadow_king12344 The majority of people play solo in public lobbies, and learning to get along with all sorts of characters with different goals and priorities is THE coop experience for many that adds to near infinite replayability. If a game feels awful anywhere outside a friend group, it just won't have a big audience. L4D2 on expert is a cesspool because specials are designed to get a cheap jump on you eventually and all resources are shared, finite and scarce, so Advanced lobbies are MUCH more common, Killing Floor punishes mistakes like no other game and heavily relies on team play with class limits and thus has a niche following. DRG is very casual among others in its genre, exceptionally easy to play solo, and reversing that would drop a big part of the audience. I sure won't bother with it in that case - if an option to screw teammates over is there it will be common occurrence.
Yep, this is very much an iffy design decision. Upgrades (and guns too, I think?) should either be randomized per player or randomized and can be taken by any/every player. Anything else and you're creating problems where they don't need to exist. I can only speak for having overall positive experiences with the DRG community solo-queuing for all my 742 hours, but we were never fighting over who gets the flamethrower or the drills or the grappling hook, or a 15% max. ammo increase.
That's cool for the folks who enjoy Rogue Lites but for me personally I've never been a fan of any game mode that removes everything that you earned or already had so this'll be a major skip for me. A shame because I'm getting tired of grinding past seasons after I finished season 5 2 months ago and now that I'm to season 3 I'm starting to think of this as a job, especially on season 3, dear god... not sure what you guys were thinking but this season IS absolutely a 9-5 job just without getting paid in pretty much anything for my time.
I never get everything available in a season, because honestly it doesn't matter much to me. Losing everything you get isn't bad if runs only last 45 minutes as they were saying. Think of it as an extended mission in DRG with the progression obtained in the mission instead of in the station.
Do you really need a Season 6 that badly?? You can’t just play the really good game you have already? Game development takes time and very heavy resources, and these are quite literally indie developers. It’s a miracle they’ll still be working on DRG at all, they’ll have to balance updates on TWO games and it’d be much easier to permanently kill off the old one.
Its been almost 7 years since DRG was released in early access and 4 and a half since it had full release, maybe let these people work on something different

Pets too...Steeeeeve!!
I want to play the place holder stuff so badly!
we're gonna have new dwarves besides the 4 in drg
Sounds great, hopefully you will consider doing Alpha testing with some of the most dedicated DRG players.
I really love deep rock galactic and making it into a rouge like sounds like an amazing idea I just hope that we can see some new weapons and some old ones in this new game. Rock and Stone!
I have a good pitch I think. What if you play as command? coordinate with the drop team and disperse the drop pods to the planet. Like a fifth player.
If U play solo
Bosco will take all your beloved upgrades instead of another team member.
just so the game mechanic stays the same
Is that intro seperate somewhere?
The teaser? Yeah, you can find it separately on the channel.

Hope they updated their engine to handle more because I vaugely remember hearing that they were having dificulties with the engine in drg
They did, it's on UE5 now
@@Jontohil2ue5 also has a load of optimization issues too, catch a few worms but opened a brand new can.

This game is basically Deep rock galactic 2
They won’t do that because they hate disabled people

WILL THIS GET A CONSOLE RELEASE????
jeez don't get so greedy, console gamers feel so entitled nowadays

No more Grappling Hook? just Zipline Launcher?
So happy to hear more and new classes.. 5+?? I wouldnt mind the current 4 DRG classes and their color themes be added laater on. But Im just very reliefed it seems ORANGE and PURPLE finally be for two of the new ones. Spotter and Guarduan. My younger siblings would love it ( and me )! Thats the indicator.

Rogue Core classes seem to still be unique and different but not AS deep but more adaptable snd we are still? seemingly max 4 dwarfs per game session
Also the no healer, tank, brawler mentality for new classes regarding DRG seems more relaxed for RC. Great! The dwarf team in RC ARE spec-ops after all, they need to adapt to thus much more dangerous prospect and missions than their combat miner brethren⛏️⚒️🛠
Contentgaters of the dark side of DRG community will be mad and spite but thats a good thing😂
I personally think Ellis looks a little too much like rival tech. I know this isn’t final but I just think it looks too sleek and grey. In my head I was thinking Bosco but big.
That’s just me though.
Love everything else though. Just a nit pick
I also hope we get some deep core glyphids. Some deep core adapt version would be nice
Have played a lot of hours in the first game. Just wanna say that the smaller enemies look a bit too generic to me. (As they are now)
Considering you'll be seeing them a lot.
Also I'm really hyped for the new game(mode) you guys are making!
sounds quite commital. how long are missions?
I have an idea: look at wow hardcore. how about its ~20mins long missions where you keep your equipment until you die. But you could switch teammates between missions, or just resume your run another day, on your own, without being bound to teammates. Maybe at take at extraction shooters, but only pve.
3 hours expedition with 7 different tasks and you even can order a supply pod with something you need in a break. Yes, Incediary reference here. Don't forged engineer's favorite sentry ammo and the LLS juice bag.
more importantly can I pre order it because im playing it no matter what

Please release deep rock galactic survivor and this on consoles will buy instantly.
Where are the Dwarf Women at!?
Bosco, you're the best
Can you make the game crossplatform/crossplay PS5 to PC and PC steam and X-box
I need more nice skins and more weapons, not just the old ones. This game shouldn't be weird.
43:01 yay crucible
I wish that DRG became a real company, that would be rad
"Let's spawn some to see them moving around" No, no I'm good, I don't want to see those freaks moving around thank you. The Core Spawn in DRG creep me out enough
Mmmmm… hd2 collab when
I hope never.

Will it be on Xbox one/PS4?
Yea i also wanna know that

i would have focused on the original DRG instead…. I feel like its been going pretty bad since yall working on other projects
Pls make RTS next 😊Imagine a Real Time Strategy Game where your units are able to drill thru the enviroment and need to mine Nitra for producing units 😀
what is the goal? that players who actually play DRG now play rogue? Like a Part 2? that sometimes they play this and sometimes that? should DRG die? should it be for other players? o.o

I bet these elite dwarves get all the knee pads.

Really wish yall would reconsider pushing season 6. DRG is the game that put yall on the map. It’s an excellent platform with huge potential. Rogue core should be a side project….
So purposely creating friction points with upgrades will cause maximum toxicity and players to leave the lobby. Don't do that.
Вперёд слоники!
Даёшь Тарков с пивом и гномами.
Would be so nice if you added a Versus mode 😀
No thanx
Think of it as an extended mission in DRG with the progression obtained in the mission instead of in the station.
это был бы идеальный сезон для оригинальной игры, можно сделать его платным, но зачем делать как новую игру я не совсем понимаю
no season 6 until 2026 is such crap, drg's community is being killed for rogue core.
@@Gutek524Yeah, name 5 other live service PvE titles that have lasted this long, that haven't been objectively P2W in some capacity, or gone out of their way to screw their consumers.
It's a miracle that DRG has lasted this long, and if GSG wants to work on something different, they can.
Don't know if I'd agree that DRG is "being killed" for RC, but I don't think a year+ delay on S6 is helping it any.
Such entitlement. You'll have an entire new game to play until then. Gimme a break.
