burn everything, explode to burn everything more, then hellfire coilgun to burn AND electrocute everything as it runs for its life, severely regretting it's choices
and by then you're off of overheat so the cycle starts again
Volatile bullets to deal more damage tho burning enemies than you'd deal to frozen ones.
It is okay to 4-5 shot an entire detonator.
Goes good with aggressive venting. Giant fire explosion while reducing cooldown by half.

Note: in the latest version manual guidance cutoff has been replaced with a new overclock called rocket barrage
your rockets no longer have guidance but you get more ammunition and also your fire rate is pumped through the roof

Ohhh, that's why they didn't mention Rocket Barrage! I've been using it for Dreadnought annihilation, was confused when it didn't come up
With how slow the rocket velocity is without certain upgrades, you're basically using a driller primary. But this thing can utterly shred anything within 10 meters.

I notice you don't have tier 5B unlocked on your autocannon, that thing is insane with Neurotoxin payload. Not only are you poisoning them, you're inflicting fear on enemies at the same time, so they'll run away from you, which gives you a ton of time for the neurotoxin to finish the job.
Even without neurotoxin it's really strong. Forces hordes of bugs to scatter and take longer to reach you+your team, and praetorians willingly expose their weakpoints.
@Existing Channel Bonus if ya use stick grenades to fear praetorians.
Neurotoxin is for pansies. I need not to poison my foes for the strength of my weapon of mass destruction alone will melt its insigificant bug carapace. The glyphids shall be my blank canvas in which I shall paint my ultimate art of carnage and destruction and no bug will be left standing.
@@existingchannel6671 it's pretty bad for anything except neurotoxin lmao, you need them all bunched up not scattered around to get any use from the autocannons tiny explosion radius..

Words cannot describe how good this video is. It tickles my itch for lore with his descriptions of each overclock. It tickles my itch for information on each overclock making me think of ways to use them in build. Finally the way he delivers this all in a way that keeps me entertained is just perfect.
I wasn't sold on the Lead Storm OC at first, but once I mastered the b-hop I can't imagine my life without it
Minelayer is one of the best overclocks for gunner tbh, it just gives massive crowd control with the huge aoe increase for being mines.
Small tip for when you want to use Manual Guidance Cutoff without actually equipping the OC:
Switch to ANY other weapon. That's it. Now they stop following your guidance.
And it even has the neat feature that if you change your mind you can switch back to the hurricane they start flying to your crosshair again.
Doesn’t really help if you want to keep shooting at enemies with the hurricane. If they didn’t resume guidance upon reswapping this would work.
@@atlasstoned In such cases I just always shoot a few shots with the revolver until the missles are going to hit, then either swap back immediatly or keep firing until born ready kicks in.
Is nice as that allows you to apply neurotoxin to some larger enemies while your rockets are traveling to ruin some bugs day ;)

As a little side-note/tid-bit of info, the lead storm minigun doesn't burst out steel but uranium since it canonically uses Depleted Uranium rounds. Which, by the way, makes its name "lead-storm" complete bullshit

I mean lead is just a general slang term for bullet, uranium powered doesnt sound half as cool either

I have been a scout one trick since I got the game. But now I want to get all dwarfs promoted and recently started with gunner. It takes a while to get used to being slow but damn, nothing feels better than moving down hordes of bugs with 1000 rounds of exploding ammo

By using "Thinned drum walls" you can use Lead Storm as a flamethrower if applying "Hot lead" in upgrades
I almost exclusively run salvo and the Half mag mobility as gunner, just feels good to have two SMGs or two Shotguns as a man called gunner. Both the secondary SMG and the Shotgun are the BR7T with the unstable overclocks. They're fun. I hope they're mentioned to be an SMG or Shotgun respectively
The description does say it has “the stopping power of a small shotgun”

The neurotoxin effects the uh...nervous system, not the circulatory system (not directly, anyways).
Also, take fear AoE on it, as, despite their brain shutting down, it can still tell them to run away (not that it'll help them).
Why wasn't it unlocked, anyway?
swarm control plus neurotoxin makes it the best swarm control in the game, you poison an entire horde and make half of them run away. everything that isnt a grunt dies in a few seconds or becomes free melee kills.
I said circulatory system because when bugs die from the neurotoxin their bodies erupt with blood and they are propelled backward slightly. Since bugs have an open circulatory system, I imagine this effect is from them popping like an unstable soda can.
Also, I don't have the AoE because I'm a dumb dumb and didn't realize the synergy until after I wrote the script, recorded the script, and recorded the gameplay. Bit of a tragedy, but the overclock is cool regardless.

Quick reminder that the minigun conusumes 2 bullets for every shot, so your ammo pool and the upgrades to both ammo and damage you get are only half as effective as you think they are.

Neurotoxin payload is one of my favorites. It basically the ultimate grunt killer, as all you need is 1 bullet to kill 1+ grunts... and around 10 seconds too. Though it will also slow them down. Along with the fear you're using, the really good range, and it makes the targets glow should your scout be sleeping on the job so others can see em too. All in all, it's super ammo efficient, even after it got hit with the nerf bat in the ammo economy.
It doesn't do so hot vs targets that you want to have sustained dps on though. I personally use that 3 round burst gun, with a damage overclock, and drill that into a praetorian's backside at 100 damage per trigger pull, (33 per bullet) usually after I sprinkle some toxin with my primary first.
The legend returned when we needed him the most.
Every other DRG creator makes boring and slow guides to overclocks, and they barely explain or show what they do. Brilliant video man, Im a fan.

Plasma Missiles was fixed in a recent patch, the rockets are basically now hardcoded to not impact surfaces for the entire projectile lifetime duration once they hit something, meaning its now far more consistent.
I believe I mention this in the update video I did shortly after this one. That change is so fun!

All I recommend is that you should have the upgrade tree for each overclock on screen. It'd bring a lot more viewers looking for what the upgrade tree is for the overclock they just got.

I usualy run big bertha with the lowest fire rate but fast gain of said fire rate with the protection and the coil gun with protection and add born ready and you get the most unholy tankines build you can imagine nothing short of a dread cant realy take ya down

If it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure I do WAY more cuts than your average creator. IDK if it's my ADHD getting bored with what I am looking at every 2 seconds or if it's my subconscious tactic for crawling my way to relevancy.
Anyway, the best way to overcome any fear or doubt about making a video is to just do it anyway... Kinda weird starting and ending a sentence with the same word but whatever.
PBM now no longer commit suicide after 1-2 hits. They now have the ability to not hit terrain for a short time after hitting a target. Aim well.

I believe you get it from reaching account level 80? It unlocks for all the characters when you get it and there are two other versions that you unlock in the levels prior.

It’s a shame that half of the overclocks in the game are pretty boring. It makes the rng method of unlocking them pretty frustrating. I wish you could select the one you were after so your grind wouldn’t be wasted.
