He sees these creatures as self-serving threats and they are using Sivanna’s desperation for vindication and to just matter as a means to manipulate him. His earlier mention of his rejection supports Billy's opinion, as this comes shortly after he learned the truth about his mother. That’s what also elevates him in that, unlike his adversary, he doesn’t give in to despair, but rather focuses on who and what he has in his life now. This is one of the few times that, as Shazam, he gets serious. I like how these two truly are mirror opposites of each other. Billy’s powers are under his control, while Thaddeus is under the influence of the Sins. Brilliant acting and writing in this moment.

Anyone think that maybe the seven deadly sins might've been acting a tiny bit out of fear of Darkseids return to earth? I mean they've been around since the dawn of time they must've been around when Darkseid/Steppenwolf attacked, it makes sense that they might be in a hurry to find someone to free them to take over the world before someone worse than them comes around. Could even be the same thing with the enchantress in Suicide Squad. Just a thought though.
