No. No it's not. When Sylvannas said "This world is a prison", she was referring to the unfairness of the afterlife that the Jailor conveniently portrayed to be against her. It has NOTHING to do with the cosmic forces.
Sadly modern writing likes to take x and go oh look there was so much more behind it. Even so it was ment for a certain moment. They like to take a concept and tie a action or dialogue to it. To try ajd make it intresting... but to me it's lazy writing.

I think it's actually pretty relatable. I understand why Anduin is so broken up over the concept. It's definitely something that can happen to anyone in real life.
@@wastelander3116 way too many people mix up pop culture religions (WoW), fanfic writings of religion (Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno,) and actual religious mythology to make shallow criticisms and comparisons. WoW's Light is completely different from any real world religion, but I see too many fedora atheists praise the "illidan scars scene" and say this is the same as real life religion. Give me a break.
Another thing to keep in mind, is that Anduin was probably informed on what happened when Illidan met (and then killed) that Naaru and understood that there was no difference between what the Naaru wanted to do to Illidan and what the Jailer had done to him.
Nah, sorry but if they didn't bring Kael back (at least his original character written by OG writers) and basically sh*t on him, I'm afraid what they'd do to Illidan.
Another example similar to the warlock using fel magic and demons but not being manipulated by it, is the demon hunter, I'm surprised you didn't used that, since demon hunter are a lot more infused with the fel magic and demonic powers than the warlock.

Hear me out...If azeroth is the last titan maybe she needs a protector and that will end up being anduen and he will weild a portion of her power that is bestowed to him thusly uniteing ALL of azeroth against the void/light
True the title called Last Titan, but I don't think the Void and now the Light doing all this on Azeroth for just a Titan to Corrupt. In old lore the Void wasn't Abel to Corrupt a Titan. There Creations yes but not a Titan it self. If anything, I suspect the Soul inside Azeroth is something Beyond the Void and a Titan. I'd say it's probably a first one. Or rather the last of the First one. A power of a God of Creation would be a valuable prize for the Void to use as to all the cosmological forces.

There is a big push to make what is evil seem good. Godbless you for the scripture!
If people pay close attention to The War Within cinematic when Anduin confronts and points Shalamayne at Thrall, there is also no visible orb of Light there as well. It is VERY brief and quick but if it were there you would expect the orb to be visible as he twists the sword and points it at Thrall. It is not! This is consistent with The War Within artwork. Details like this are kinda cool!
Great vid. I was thinking the same about how warlocks have always used the fel without falling to it. Then i started thinking in SOD, one of your big runes as a paladin you have to go to the warlocks for help. Maybe thats just the start of the Paladins learning from the Warlocks
To build on this, maybe all of SoD is full of heroes who start to realize this. They've been around since the start but can't be open about it because the heretical light would intervene
a cry baby, playing vicitm because he was a tool of the jailer. He admits he kind of enjoyed what jailer had him do. He can't handle he has bad in him, that he can control.
@@Purdin347 Lmao you actually have no idea what anything means. Saying playing the victim only makes sense when they were not the victim dummy. Anduin was a victim. 100% you just see that phrase typed somewhere and you repeat it because you have no critical thinking.
The Gem on his sword during the cinematic was red and not glowing..... When Varian had it at his height, it would glow orange; IMO that meant balance between Rage and "Light"... which is why Anduin's always glowed yellow and now it is red
The light has always had different factions. Its not "oh the light is bad now" its that there are factions that are powerful, maybe even the most powerful now, that are light aligned and fanatics. I think the shift is that the light itself is rather neutral as are the other cosmic powers.
dont think evil really factors in. the power tree thats been introduced that holds all the different elements; there are simply those apart of each cosmological power that are selfish and only want to promote their own ways. and then there are others that support life and add to the balance. whether they are evil or not is probably a secondary notion based on perspective
In one of the books it talks about void or shadow energy emanating from Anduin. I’m curious if he will turn to more of a shadow priest? I don’t think he will be useless. I think the source of any powers he has will change.
I think its every cosmic force wants total control/domination, its not good or evil, its just a consuming force of the cosmos. Balance is the real goal
None of the cosmic forces is completely bad, but every single one can be used to do bad things. Light is just a power that is more often used to do good than the others as it attracts more people that are good by heart. You see it with powers that are considered evil. A warlock or demon hunter can use his powers to do good. Illidan is the best example for that. Same with a shadow priest or the void elves in general. So why shouldn‘t the opposite be true that light can be misused for evil. The light doesn‘t stop you from doing bad things. If light was so good it would only allow you to heal or protect, but not to kill someone
I think it is part because the Domination magic the Jailer used on him is so intense and all consuming that he felt like he enjoyed doing all those horrors the Jailer made him do. Probably feels he isn;t worthy or something like that.
One thing this helped me correlate, i feel like the hints of the story are now effectively showing hidden parallel's with the "Main" cast. "Who Scard' Who" type of thing.....an THAT forces' response to the others.......the threads laid long ago. a lil tug......i do not find it at all surprising Slyvanas was scard' by a weapon of LIGHT gifted to a former ally an i do not think it is an accident how an where a RED scar on a raised undead (a Paralleled to how be used an scarred.......Same as AZEROTH ;) we are pawns in her REVENGE on ALL cosmic forces ! The Tree that just grew....LIFE from DEATH......Death had its' own plan.....they both SAW the FULL board. I dig how they do what they do regardless of people opinions ...the paints the cosmos define make this MYTH of WARCRAFT.
To be honest its been hinted for such a long time that the light could be a force of evil, also the rule of "all magic corrupts and twists its user" has been played down in wows history for the light unlike other magics despite the signs being there. Scarlet crusade have been around since classic and plenty of other examples in wow history show the light as making its users very narrow vision and zealous in there conviction to a point of being near blinded by it. I'm happy to see blizzard finally take this step with the light though as its always been there as a possibility, I personally believe the light has its own corruption on the users mind in how they think the more they embrace it.
Given the way Blizzard likes setting up things that are misleading or at least can be read multiple different ways, I think we need to consider the possibility that Anduin wasn't talking only about the Jailor's domination when he said what he had seen, what he had done. It's possible that the Jailor granted him vision of the true nature of the light and Anduin is horrified at all the things he's used the light to do.
Really, really ...really, really... Here is a game you can play with Doron... Every time he sais REALLY, you take a shot of tequila/whiskey (what ever really suits you game) and try to survive untill the end of the video. Really really cool game xD :P
I mean.. think about the quote from Ilghynoth.. " Its surface blazes bright, masking shadows below." I know this probably applies to the Sunwell. But this also technicly works with the light as a wholle. As its the opossite of the Void... But. They are the same, in the end. The Naaru themselves. They go between light and void. But they are seen as the creatures of the Light side. So.. How does that work. Unless. The truth is that he found out that the more he uses the light.. The bigger his downfall is. He uses the light, but grows his own darkness. As can be seen with how he reacts to when Wrathion comes to tell him about the old gods..About Nzoth. He sees vissions... Nightmare version of Stormwind. Because the stronger his light. The easier he can be controlled by the void. It wasnt just that he was forced to do things against his will. Anduin is stronger than that. He still fought against the Jailor. When he was controlled. But he also saw how even Arthas. That was also devoted to the light, as a Paladin. Could fall to darkness.
Maan am I glad my pally is and alwas was a blood elf. Their use of the Light always used a more peagmatic approach. Even now they draw their powers from the sunwell which is not comparable IMHO to the lightforging shenanigans of Turalyon / Xe'ra.
This whole concept of the Light being evil is so boring, as well as dismissive of the old lore. As expected of Blizzard to fuck up something good they had in the past just for shock value. “Everything you thought you knew is a lie!”. It only works if you do it once. But if you do it every single expansion it gets old real fast.
Another speculation for proving Light is evil, seriously there is no prove in lore or datamined till now that anduin think light is using him. The fact is light is not coming to him because he doesn't trust himself and lost his conviction 😅
Same thing that happened to Thrall with the elements. Also, it's pretty stablished in the lore that you just need conviction and determination to wield the light, nothing more.
its like they cant ruin their game enough, this going into other realms of governing forces that govern forces that player wield, I cant believe they havent fired their creative department yet.
What I am really confused about is the fact that some Blood Elves like Lady Liadrin are so fixed on the Light even though their history would teach them to do otherwise. Suramar is the Birthplace of the Sisterhood of Elune and the first place to abandon this faith. Blood Elves are descendants from the Highborne that also declared Elune to be false Goddess and reject that religion completely. Velen during the marriage of Malfurion and Tyrande compared the Church of Holy Light and Faith of Elune to be exrtemely similar. He even went as far as to give hypothesis that Elune herself might a Naaru, much to Tyrande's dismay. So if the Highborne that created Quel'thalas abandonned the Faith of Elune, then why the hell there are some Blood Elves that are so eager to follow the Light if both religions are so similar. Lady Liadrin should be a red flag to any Blood Elf that can connect the dots, and make sure she doesn't turn into the second Tyrande. There's also the case of the Nightborne of whom many still live and remember the rise and fall of the Sisterhood of Elune in Suramar. They should be the first to point out that Blood Elves are making the mistake and pretty much repeating the mistake their ancestors tried so hard to correct. Church of the Holy Light came to be after Amani Wars when Five Naaru showed themselves in a dream vision to multiple would be priests, teaching them tenets of how to wield the Light. Those priests would then form the Religious Organization that we know today. I wonder how that thing did extend to Elves of Quel'thalas.
I don't think BEs follow the light as a religion the same way as humans do. The liadrin types are super into the light in a sort of... really strong personal connection with the powers within the sunwell, and faith in that the light will help them carry on, mainly as a weapon.
Yes you are wrong. Priests lorewise are not the same "priests" most of the classes lorewise are not the same. Orc Priests are like "spirit" priests, troll priests are like witch doctors etc etc.
I wouldn't say worship as we know it is necessary, as if I recall correctly the human variant of the light based faiths is more a philosophy dressed in the trappings of a religion. They follow specific tenants of respect, tenacity and compassion and try to teach and spread those things, but they don't really have any deific or spiritual figures to worship as they see the light as more of a nebulous and beneficent concept more akin to the force than a god. Faith in those concepts on the other hand would be VERY important.
No. You don't need to worship the light. You just have to be open to it or have the willpower to wield it. There are plenty of people who do not worship the light who can wield it because they simply have the willpower to do so. Look at goblins. They don't worship the Light. They're just greedy and are willing to use it like a tool to further their greed.
calia is ganna get MCed at some point and be forced by the light to be bad hopefully for more than just a boss fight an maybe actually have lore for multiple xpacs before shes slain or fixed
What if the light & the void are not explicitly good or evil but natural forces of the cosmos, and the Naaru & Void Lords are exacting there will over it for there own selfish needs and purposes.
I've been saying for years now that Turalyon is not a good guy. Whoever is residing in that husk is not the man that left 10k years ago. We're going to have to fight to regain the throne. Velen has probably stayed more true to "good" than any of the light workers, in that he has no desire to convert the masses, but the rest of them are sus as hell. Calia was the sister of an easily swayed man. I guess gullibility runs in the royal lines. I am betting that this is an epic fight that only daddy Illidan can help us with. After all, he's the only one who has killed a Naruu, isn't that right?
I’ve always worshipped the elements over the other cosmic entities they are the ones bashing together shaping the earth as it needs fit and I speculate there may be 2 other elemental lords that we don’t know about when it comes to decay and spirit
first the writers need to fix the shadowlands and show that the primeus and all the others are also robots. next they need to show that there are thousands of millions of other shadowlands with their own primus and others that are all part of the universe.

@@joezar33 "the light" is an elemental force just like Fel,Death,Life,Void, ect. It has stewards, the Naaru
So anduin went from useless to a priest to a paladin to a death knight?(enslaved by jailor with death powers) to useless again, hes come a full circle
Well said.
Did Blizzard hire that actor who plays DC "Arrow" on the CW ? Anduin and him look the same . Well they kinda look similar
Na, he realized: "Fuck magic, I just do warrior stuff like my father"
playing the victim.
Eh still better than garrosh.
Anduin is that new employee who's been there for a week and he's already acting as if he's been working for the past 2 lives.
Nah, he`s the employee that has been there for a week, and they already worked him for 2 lives.

I said the same thing in the Launch Trailer of the War within 🤣
The concept of love can be a very powerful tool to control someone, showing that you'll always be there for them, and no one else really can
If Anduin leans more towards the Warrior lifestyle, like his father, I wouldn't be surprised
love can be a strong motivator, though world of warcraft has too much love in it now a days and not enough war.
@@momentofenlightenment6004
I know it's World of WARcraft, but just because one didn't see it, doesn't mean it wasn't there, was mostly kept to the books I guess, or some rare hidden books/lore things in the game.
The theme can be useful if done right, but will admit, and agree, they could've done it much better than how they've done it of late
The light is actually evil theory that everyone is obsessed with has to be one of the uncreative and boring plot points that could come to WoW.
World of Warcraft's concept of the Light certainly is fictional. But being devastated by losing your faith in any concept is timeless.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s such a corny plot point that “good is actually evil, and the bad guys are actually tortured souls and the real good guys”.
Another thing to keep in mind, is that Anduin was probably informed on what happened when Illidan met (and then killed) that Naaru and understood that there was no difference between what the Naaru wanted to do to Illidan and what the Jailer had done to him.
1:06 hopefully Illidan comes back and claps Turalyon.
Nah, sorry but if they didn't bring Kael back (at least his original character written by OG writers) and basically sh*t on him, I'm afraid what they'd do to Illidan.
@@Ilive_420Kael’thas was already brought back in Shadowlands
I always thought a crazy plot twist would be if Turalyon is a time traveller and is future Anduin
Would be stupid
Another example similar to the warlock using fel magic and demons but not being manipulated by it, is the demon hunter, I'm surprised you didn't used that, since demon hunter are a lot more infused with the fel magic and demonic powers than the warlock.
I hope when the cosmological war happen we will be able to choose between all the entities, life, death, chaos, order, light, void
oh yeah it will be covenant 2.0 for sure...cant wait /barf
@@deenman23 I think it should be a combination of factions (pvp and pve wise now literally not mather you are Horde or Alliance) and guilds in the start of the week you could choose which entity you fight for and for a month you couldnt join to the counter part for example if fight against the life you can join as death, void, order, or chaos but you cant choose life.. You get repu, cosmetics, maybe skill cosmetics as well, mounts, money, xp... Also an ultimate class skill depend on your existing skill for example mage would get a deathfrost blizzard, which you can use if your skill meter loaded, and only once
@@lichslayer0045 what of the void and the light was run by a 1st one and they r battering at a stalemate and they want azeroth to come to there side to win the "war" in their favor idk just spit balling ideas
@ianhayes5952 interesting (: yeah more than possible.
That'd be such a Mary Sue character writing, please don't
i think anduin becomes a titan hence last titan hes used all the powers light an shadow an death so that explains it plus what he has been through azeroth will give him her powers hes the ultimate being
I mean it's not hard. He was literally tortured in hell.
Oh I see now. Its the light. The light is overbearing.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20
Amen this is exactly what's going on... Blizzard exec literally show up to Democrat politicians meet ups where they party , talk about business and societal planning like the one they did in Idaho last year, you also see Hollywood and music artist really pushing this stuff hard Ice spice at superbowl wearing the inverted cross and holding it up to the camera when it panned over her Taylor swift and the prior grammies doing weird culty rituals on stage,Jay z wearing known satanist Allister Crowley slogans on shirts and clothing and making anti christ statements. There is a big push to make what is evil seem good. Godbless you for the scripture!
Do not confuse Light with Order. Titans are agents of Order. If they become evil, it does not necessarily imply Light.
Very interesting. So what is Anduin now without the light, just a good warrior/fighter or does he have any superpowers?
a cry baby, playing vicitm because he was a tool of the jailer. He admits he kind of enjoyed what jailer had him do. He can't handle he has bad in him, that he can control.
I don't think Anduin enjoyed *what* he did, but it was the sheer fury and pleasure of just being able to unleash the beast.

Not all Warlocks are Fell Oriented. The Oldest of the Warlocks are Shadow/Void Locks. The Fell versions of Warlocks are actually a much newer thing.
I love this take :D
The light has always had different factions. Its not "oh the light is bad now" its that there are factions that are powerful, maybe even the most powerful now, that are light aligned and fanatics. I think the shift is that the light itself is rather neutral as are the other cosmic powers.
dont think evil really factors in. the power tree thats been introduced that holds all the different elements; there are simply those apart of each cosmological power that are selfish and only want to promote their own ways. and then there are others that support life and add to the balance. whether they are evil or not is probably a secondary notion based on perspective
"light bad" xD...can we do life bad next and the emerald dream xD
he now going to be a warrior. like father, like son.
In one of the books it talks about void or shadow energy emanating from Anduin. I’m curious if he will turn to more of a shadow priest? I don’t think he will be useless. I think the source of any powers he has will change.
I think it might be cool if Anduin enlisted the aid of Sylvannas to fight the light or whatever the main bad guy is as a way to rehabilitate her some.
Andy is in 10.2.5??
I absolutely hate this idea that the Light is now somehow bad.
Andiun and (Wiafu) Jaina are my favorite characters
I think it is part because the Domination magic the Jailer used on him is so intense and all consuming that he felt like he enjoyed doing all those horrors the Jailer made him do. Probably feels he isn;t worthy or something like that.
I think you forgot that many of Anduins bones were remade from the Light. After Garrosh crushed his body with the bell in Pandaria.
“The crown of light will bring only Darkness”
Really hope that Turalyon is not a villain.
lets hope the light doesnt tell him to kill Alleria windrunner...
A good casus belli would be story wise, if Turalyon kill Alleria
Instructions unclear! I am now dead from alcohol poisoning!
Hey Doronsmovies, do you have any more information on Nathanos Blightcaller?
I mean.. think about the quote from Ilghynoth..
It will be interesting if they also make the Light not being monolithic
Well, the Light proved to be exceedingly useless against the Domination magic, and didn't save him. I mean, it didn't save his dad twice either
Maan am I glad my pally is and alwas was a blood elf. Their use of the Light always used a more peagmatic approach. Even now they draw their powers from the sunwell which is not comparable IMHO to the lightforging shenanigans of Turalyon / Xe'ra.
I like this development. The idea of Anduin being contrite for actions taken under duress never made much sense.
So what you're saying is that the Blood Knights were right when they were chaining up Naaru and just taking the power as their own
Anduin needs to spend time woth the blood elves and learn the wisdom of bending the light to your will.
Also, it's pretty stablished in the lore that you just need conviction and determination to wield the light, nothing more.
its like they cant ruin their game enough, this going into other realms of governing forces that govern forces that player wield, I cant believe they havent fired their creative department yet.
oh for the love of he left cause he was TRAMATIZED by zovaal controlling him like a puppet they already explained it at the end of shadowlands
Anduin is going to class change to warrior like his dad.
Is that why The Green Arrow is now Anduin?
I really do believe people give Anduin way!!! To much shit he has massive ptsd His life can only be one of pain and suffering
Well the main characters arrow damn he be even in fantasy realms
I wouldn't say, lorewise, you need to worship the light to use holy spells - priest was a widely available class.
Or am I wrong?
You seem to forget that Priests also use Void....Shadow Priests do exists.
Anduin is hiding from the throne, not Turtle boy lol

What if the light & the void are not explicitly good or evil but natural forces of the cosmos, and the Naaru & Void Lords are exacting there will over it for there own selfish needs and purposes.
I thought the naarus turn into some kind void being when they die so is the light truly both
He should no longer be a paladin/priest and become Green Arrow... i mean, he already looks like Stephen Amell.
