Jeez. I've only got the Bulkman3D 750x500, with maybe 100 hrs cutting in and the polycarbonate V wheels for Z and Y are already about worn out from hauling so much weight. Good thing they're cheap by the sack! With your setup though, I'd look at the Bulkman3D linear rail upgrade for Z and Y. The "QueenBee" kits.
Man I find myself in a situation where I'm building two queenbee 1515 machines. One for my boss at work and one for me. I've been going nuts trying to find a good wasteboard solution for both with 4x8 3/4 mdf sheets. Thinking of cutting strips off the longer side of the sheet and using t tracks to butt in between each slat. No luck finding big sheets of mdf, would be cool though. Really dig the videos, great explanations and good information.
@@702marine dude it's a brutal hunt, I work at a large format digital print shop (pass by a Valero we did all their upgrades, also all the signs at the Decatur 215 shopping center) we also print using a flatbed, and even my boss he has connections to source industrial tier medias and cant find a 5x10 lol
If you are in Vegas go to Peterman Lumber. It’s off Russell and Decatur area. Google it. They keep 3/4 5 x 10 MDF in stock all the time. They also have really hard to find types of wood as well.
Thanks for the fantastic videos. I've also got the 1515 machine and had it 95% put together and discovered the manual on the Bulkman 3D doesn't suit the largest size. Thank god I found your videos and the extra manuals that Bulkman supplied you. I decided to go backwards and fix the problems for the 2.2 version. My question to you is.... I noticed you modified your original build to give you more Z axis travel. Can you give an explanation on what your did please? Are the wide extruded aluminum pieces now laying flat on the bench?
@@702marine mr money bags lol...you should just buy a 2nd cnc...queenbee pro...isnt the upgrade a bit wasteful...since u will be tossing parts you replace in da trash
Congrats man! I know the hard work that you had to do to complete this, lol. I was putting together the exact machine at the same time you were. Awesome Job!
Thanks. Between putting this together and all the other things like 4 kids home doing school and the rest of the crazy stuff going on right now I'm surprised i even got this far. lol
Great work. I am an electronics Engineer looking to get into CNC to make some housing for my projects. This kit fits into my budget and will like to know what the hardest material you were able to cut with this.
You can cut aluminum on this machine. I’m sure you could do brass as well. Fiberglass, foam board, plexiglass are all possible. I’m sure with the right settings and setup you could lightly engrave steel and stone but nothing too crazy with that stuff.
Bro! I'm so happy to find your great video. You have the same 5x5 machine I have, or very similar. But I'm stuck at about the 85-90% complete stage. Are you available to help me get to the finish line so I can get to using all my cool tools? I'd be willing to compensate you for your time and knowledge. Would some mentoring calls, text, and video chats to see my setup, where I'm at, and what I need to do, be an option you would consider? Thanks again!
Nicely done. Can somebody help me? I've got the 1500 X1500 3D bulkman, Nema 23, TB6600 stepper drivers, Novusun V2 and Mach 3. When I start cutting everything goes well for a while and then the machine just goes crazy and damage the whole project. I've replace the driver motors 4 time and the Novusun twice. All the wires are grounded. Sometimes it will finish a project. Can anyone help with advice?
do you know if they upgraded the x axis motor you replaced in the queen bee ultimate. im really new to cnc, ive been using lasers.... so im still learning what i would need!
HELLO FRIEND I BOUGHT A BILKMAN 3D 1515 I THINK IT'S JUST LIKE YOURS I'M GOING TO START ASSEMBLY I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MUCH IS YOUR BENCH TABLE? THANK YOU

I looked like crazy to find the 5 x 10 x 3/4 MDF. Lowe’s and Home Depot both told me no so I had to look for something else. I ended up going with Peterman Lumber here in Vegas and they had a good amount of it. It was only $65 I believe and well worth it. I have since gone back to them quite a bit because they have a great selection of different materials and exotic woods. My table is 42” high to be much more comfortable on my back to work on. The table top is 5’ x 6’...
Hi, great video. I also have the same machine. I opted to have all nema 23's. I also was getting whipping from the y axis which uses two motors slaved in the Y. So I went with 5/8 ball screws. It makes the machine a lot noisier but these axes are solid they wont even flex any bit.
I am thinking of buying the same one ... how does it make you profit when offering jobs and what kind of jobs do you do? I would really appreciate the answer
What you can make and how much you could make with your machine is dependent all on your knowledge and abilities. You will need to learn how to design projects, set tool paths, and learn what materials you can work with. I have made a good amount of money using my machine. However, I’m not using it as a income generator. More supporting my hobby. Plenty of people do make an income from these machines. It really comes down too what you want to do, finding a product that sells, and getting good and making it.
@@702marine Thank you ... the truth is, I am acquiring more knowledge, I have been working with wood in furniture for more than 1 year and the idea of the machine is to get a separate income and at the same time save time ... thank you very much for the answer and good channel.
