My Dad has one of these and I found it rather surprising how quick it feels compared to my 292hp 4.6 Explorer. It feels like it has better low end trq than my v8 explorer, the only leg up my 3v 4.6 has is that it "feels" like it has slightly better topend
14 horsepower and 17 lb/ft is more than I would have guessed (feared) could be gained from a catback exhaust and intake. And the peak torque happens 300 rpms sooner, very appealing
@@MIUBHI007 yes, some nice cold, condensed air for the 2nd run where we see those gains. I did end up installing the same exhaust on my trd off-road. Feels like a slight improvement, and the sound and the look are a big improvement
This is the exact kind of info I like to see when I search for dyno results. Thanks for the vid post.
No graph? I think most folks spend their time in the 2-4k temp range . Curious what those numbers were.
Good stuff. Did you a do a pull for comparing only the upgraded intake vs stock?
Hey there - I did not do a run between the OEM intake and TRD intake.
Odd. You gained alot of torque! I am do this on my 4runner

Nice pick up on power!
Makes me want to buy this for my wife's sr5 premium.
What's stock?
This almost makes me want to do an intake and exhaust set up… just added power to move the heavy thing will demand less strain from the engine… hmmmm
Hey Mike, this is just a dyno run correct? No ecu tuning is involved?

Look at the temps they were dynod at. That’s a big difference. Would have liked to see them done in similar conditions
