My man you got the wrooong board😭😭 As you mentioned in the other webistes that you saw with other completes, such as TGM and Warehouse, THOSE are the actual quality boards they sell for WI. They're actually really good!!!! the pop is amazing and last long, the concave is amazing, the board is light too, even lighter than the resin 7 blind imo. Pick them up bro! You won't be disappointed. This company is back to its roots for me.
There was a BRIEF period of time in like 2003 where they put out a BUNCH of shit as like for example a Sports Authority exclusive...like those Joker Decks that were only sold at sporting goods stores and not skateshops. One such thing was a two deck build ur own complete set. N ion know how it will compare to the current lineup, but the decks from 02-03ish especially if found at wesco or play it again sports or the sports authority lol
And the best part is the free Silver trucks! Well, if you make it a complete. You can upgrade to whatever trucks you want on ccs and tgm. I recommend both but would use tgm first. Get some Thunders like Natas, or Ace Classic 55s like myself lol
I'm still incredibly sad how far world industries have fallen I remember the first time I watched rubbish heap and I was blown away at Rodney Mullen's part
By the time Rocco sold world industries, all the talent that made it what it was had already left. All that is left is the name and a bunch of greedy businessmen.
i got a world industries branded complete second hand, but hardly used, about 2 years ago. If i were to guess, i'd probably date it around '08-'10. everything was world industries - deck, trucks, wheels, bearings. trucks were metal, said 'world industries' cast into hangar and baseplate had hellboy face cast into it. they actually seemed pretty decent, but it was so old the bushings and pivot cup just crumbled so i put some normal trucks on it, some old grindkings to be exact. wheels were ok but soft, bearings were decent. i was surprised how good the deck was, and how long it lasted. it was a 7.5", i'm 6'3 225-230. that's a normal size for mid-'90s but small for me these days, still manageable. i posted a video about dwindle/dsm boards, the board is in the thumbnail 'wet willy' stained glass or something
I’m kind of dissapointed they are selling that quality of boards but you also should take a look that they got a collab with rip n dip where in this case decks are produced in a higher quality standard.
today i bought a inflatable boat at canadian tire (which is a store where canadians buy tires and also inflatable boats) and i was surprised to see one of these world industry boards there. I saw the price and figured they must of gone the way of zoo york. and sure enough they zoo yorked
This is sad. I skated from 1997 until about 2006. During that time, and especially during my earlier years of skating, World Industries was one of the top skateboarding brands. I remember this first hand.
Mullet Boy was my first deck in 99 I got from a local skate shop that is no longer around. It was $43 for the deck. I've seen the same deck online recently going for $400.
World industries does actually have a handful of pros riding for them, so I'll bet you anything they still make some good decks... somewhere out there.
Oh no I just bought that board 😂😂😂 (paid that 80 😢). I havent skated since 2007 and back then I love it, had a Chad Fernandez. I had no idea it went that low
As many others Skateboard Companies around the world, they have some Decks for beginners or someone that just want to try for first time, also cheap to produce. Jajaj That doesn't mean they lacking quality decks at all.🛹🛹 🤔 The shape , size and trucks to me are based on beginners needs , like how to set feet and start with easy tricks , not pipes nor 50 - 50s.
Get them from tgm or some other shop. They're legit boards. Been a world industries guy since the 90s. They still make quality. But they also made some trash. The company is fine though. Long live world and thank you Rocco.
one of the few companies that used to do dece t decks that were properly sized for children. Does any decent brand do those any more or is it all walmart decks?
the new world decks are made in USA not many companys are made in usa most in mexico in china the new world is good peace from ensenada baja california👍
I really wanted a world industry board as a kid and ended up getting a wet willy snowboard lmao I think at that point WI was dwindling so they didn't see anything big tech decks and etc ended up getting a plan b cause prod for my first deck lol
World Industries are good but they have a specific website link where to order. The world industries you displayed on the video is not real, this video is not real research detailed. You should have done more deep research where to get one
Bro hate to tell you but this review is shiiiii go get a world industries deck from Zumiez or a actual skate shop the quality is wayyyyy different you got what we would call a BOBO in the 90s 😂😂😂

Thanks for watching and commenting! That's interesting to hear, I'll have to make another video and check those versions out. 😁

They still have real decks too, idk how you managed to find a walmart board one
Next time review their actual woodshop produced decks… this was their cheapest complete.

That’s the generic price point version that doesn’t count at all
Same difference between target heart supply and the pro model heart supply decks
Video: Walmart board

Is it a fake?
